Synopsis
Kiara Suyama, nicknamed the jack of all sports, was a prodigy among prodigies. She could play any sport as if she played it all her life, having little to no difficulty mastering each one in a matter of months. She rose to the top receiving numerous offers around the world to have her participate on their competitive sport teams, becoming the most valuable and most sought-after sport mercenary in history. She won more Olympic medals than the last 4 people combined, and beat every single record in every sport she participated in. She created new game-changing skills in sports creating a new era for them, she was famous, rich, beautiful, and…. Lonely. Death was never on her agenda, she lived to play with the thrill of a ball and the cheer of a crowd. So why did death come now? She died at the age of 42 Follow Kiara as she lives a new life, a life that she never had the opportunity to have. Would she try to surpass her previous life and become a star? Or would she live life to the fullest and shed her past Why don't you read and find out ------------------------- Im using the first 15 chapters as a testing ground on how I want to write this, so some chapters are in 1st person or 3rd. but any chapters past that would be solid. ------------------------- Author: I've been reading a while here on web novel, and I never really came across a tomboy type of romance. So I kinda just decided to make my own with a few twists here and there haha. I won't spoil anything but I can give ya a clue, it's kinda like a hard to get with a few… idk where I'm going with this. I do warn you that this novel is still in the planning stage, so each chap might take a while. I do hope you enjoy it. One crucial thing you should keep in mind; on this Earth women can play any sports men can, But men are not allowed to play sports that don't allow women to compete fairly in, this applies to women too. Chapters would be at least 1500 words, and no I didn't accidentally add a 0. -_- ------------------------- Status: ongoing Other works by Author: A romance between two wishes (still kinda making the drafts haha -_-) The art is not mine

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Rebirth

Nov 18, 2060

"I'm the best, the greatest that ever lived, I don't know if it's my ego talking or just the confidence In knowing that I can back up anything I say. Through my 42 years of life, I was able to achieve what most had in their entire lifetime. Breaking many known and unknown records, and going to places many dreamed of going to. The fields, the thrills, the anticipation, and the complexity of every sport, I've seen it all. Sports is the gift that I got, the one that laid the red carpet towards my success, and with this, I can finally close the last chapter of my legacy and retire."

Complete silence engulfed the stadium, for what was supposed to be a thankful speech for our big win became an unexpected farewell from the sports community.

My team … or my employers if you want to be specific, just won the 6th world cup for soccer. This team, which was just formed not 26 years prior to this day, shook the very foundations of football as we know it. From the underdogs, as a newly formed team into the age of overall dominance in the entire competition, I led this team through the brunt of it all. On this day I accomplished my final goal, making a club have more world cup wins than any other club. From scratch.

"I would like to thank all those that came to see this marvelous game, both teams gave it their all and laid all disputes and skill onto the field" With a heartfelt smile I turned to the team whom I sweated along with for the past hour and a half. "May we all play together one more time in spirit, I love you guys"

With that said, I got off the stage and walked off the field "Oh, and one last thing" I said, turning back to the stands "I will be playing one last game before I retire so I do hope everyone comes and watches it"

I immediately started running off the field leaving the audience open-mouthed. I wanted to get to my personal room and leave as soon as possible. I knew all too well about the uproar that's about to happen, and the silence going on back up at the stands can only last for so long.

Opening the door to my room I quickly started packing everything worth packing, I only brought little, mostly my daily necessities and practice gear. With my two bags finally zipped up I left.

With my long experience of getaways, I knew that I couldn't leave through the front door, If I did, I would be assaulted by every news crew from every news station on this planet, and I for sure do not want to be asked the same questions dozens of times. Repeating myself is one thing, but repeating myself dozens of times…yea, not my thing.

I turned the corner and went straight through the emergency exit stairwell. I had previously mapped out my escape plan with a friend of mine, If I'm even a minute late to my car parked outside It would ruin her schedule, and I'll be grilled.

As I exited the stairwell I rushed toward the car but not before looking around to see if the coast was clear. With no one Insight, I let out a sigh of relief and began walking towards my car, just when my hand hit the handle I heard someone speak behind me.

"I'm from the Perstion Times, I would like to ask a couple of questions about your sudden retirement from the sports community".

I yelped In shock, dropping my keys. I turned towards the direction of the voice and saw a young woman in her early twenties coming out of one of the parked cars, behind her was a cameraman who walked out from behind the same car. She began to walk towards me in a victorious manner while reaching out towards me with a microphone.

"Ummm, I'm very sorry but I need to catch a flight," I said "I'm quite tired so I would be very thankful if you could-"

"Oh? You're tired? Quite odd coming from you Ms. Suyama. Is there a major reason why you need to retire?"

This girl was really pushing some buttons here, If I don't leave now many more reporters would track me down. "Excuse me, your name is?"

"It's Tracy, I'm from the Perstion Times" she replied with a smile.

"Ah yes… I'll make sure to contact you for an interview later, I'm quite short on time so I'll take my leave". Before she could say anything more I quickly picked up my keys and locked myself in my car. I started her up and drove off towards my hopefully last game before the end of my career.

When I got closer to the airport I was directed towards the private airline's suite where I would await my flight the following day.

—(Scene change)---

.

Walking towards the plane felt like walking towards a roaring lion, with the large crowd in the sideline full of paparazzi and fans it kinda gave a feel of a warm send-off; It was morning, a perfect time for a flight with the sun rising in the horizon. Walking up the ramps into the plane I was met with a strict stare "you're 5 minutes late, If you were any later we would have had rust growing on the wheels". Karen my secretary, her name is self-explanatory just like how her personality fits her name too. "Ok ok geez, I already have a mom so I don't need two," I said with a moan.

"If you didn't have me with you, you would have still lived with your parents so be thankful, that's all I ask" she sighed "now hurry up, we really need to get in the air".

I quickly sat down and experienced the chain of events that normally go down when I'm present, the flight captains groveling about how honored they are, autographs, pictures, yata yata. After all that's done I finally get to the part that I enjoy the most, the briefing on the teams that have requested my talents to win them the game.

Karen came and sat across from me and started reading out the potential employers making sure I noticed the amount of money offered and the sport I must perform in. "So from all the ones I just mentioned I would suggest you play for either the U.S football match for your last game or the Golf championship coming up this weekend, that way you can go out like a bang".

Honestly speaking I don't know why she put golf as one of the choices, I absolutely hate it but the Football game doesn't sound too bad, the money is pretty good but I do have a condition "Fine, football it is, hand me the phone".

I dialed as Karen told me the number which was answered by a man who had a scruffed voice "Karen? Did she accept my offer?" I looked at her and said "hello this is Kiara Suyama, I'm here to confirm a few things before accepting your offer of 60 million U.S dollars".

"Oh OH! Yes, what do you need to confirm?"

With a smile I said "I would like my stay over there to be fully paid in a way that not one cent would leave my pockets would that be possible?"

Without hesitation he said, "no, not at all, put everything under the name of Britt Reid... so when should I expect you to be he..." I hung up before he finished further. I looked at Karen "care to explain how he knows you?"

All she gave me was a blank face "he's just an old friend of mine that called in a favor". hmm fishy but I won't nudge. "Can you get me something to drink please"

"the normal?"

"Yes"

"fine, also I've been meaning to ask you, why did you just decide to retire without consulting me?"

Should I tell her? Fine, why not… "It's because I'm getting old, kinda embarrassed to say not gonna lie, It's better to retire now when my reputation is high than continue playing until my age catches up to me" She stares at me before nodding in understanding. She then got up to make me my favorite fruit smoothie. "it will take about 15 minutes to make so I'll be back" she said.

Looking outside gave me a good feeling, the view of farmland down below was quite fascinating. I thought about the farmland layout, about how they made such precise straight lines crisscrossing into tic tack toe patterns stretching out till the eye cant see.

Voices pulled my attention from my peaceful thinking, I looked ahead in the plane noticing the urgent arguments coming from the cockpit. "Hey Karen, can you ask the pilots what's going o-" A large jolt shuddered through the plane stopping me from saying anything further. Soon the urgent arguments became alarmed yelling. A big red feathery explosion erupted from the engine right next to my window, splattering my window in red. Immediately the plane made a hard right flipping me out of my seat. I scrambled to keep my balance, barely getting my seat belt back on just as the plane's wing tore off leaving a gaping hole on the right side of the plane. Fear engulfed me as I stared in dismay and terror as the once lovely view of farmland became my death sentence as it crept closer at unimaginable speeds. I closed my eyes as the ground came to meet me, and embraced the darkness with open arms.
