"What the heck is going on!" I cried
Before I was even able to collect myself I was suddenly assaulted by a barrage of towels and gloved hands. I was so focused on squirming out of their clasp that I almost failed to notice all the red goo they were trying to take off of me. After I was brought to another part of the room and placed on a padded tray, I was so relieved to feel something warm other than the cold air that I stopped struggling. During this time I took the opportunity to catch my breath and looked around.
The room was quite considerable since so many people were in it at the same time. Inside the room were 4 people who wore hospital-like clothing with 1 holding me down on the tray. In the center of the room was a bed, where a woman laid, who looked as if she battled death itself, beside her stood a disheveled man with an expression that showed giddy excitement.
"Just a little while longer baby and then I'll give ya to momma"
I looked up to the woman who was holding me down on the tray. I guess she understood my confusion because I was again picked up and brought to the woman lying on the bed where I was placed face down on top of her chest. There I was shocked to see a baby sleeping right next to me, but I was even more taken aback as I finally realized that the warmth I felt during my time in the darkness was coming from the woman lying right under me. And apparently, she's my mother…

"Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Cracker, you are now the proud owners of two daughters" the doctor smiled as he looked at the couple "I must professionally inform you that the birthing procedure was successful, and if any problem arises during your stay here, please inform one of the staff members, they are at your disposal"
"Thank you doctor, we greatly appreciate all the work you've done for us"
"It's no problem at all, just part of my job, Oh! I forgot" the doctor left the room briefly and came back carrying two pieces of string one green and the other red, which he then placed on the table right next to the couple. "I would suggest for you to tie a piece of string on each of the girl's legs that way we can easily identify them in an hour to run some tests" with that said he left the room to the newly made family. The couple waited until the doctor's footsteps faded down the hallway when the man said "Sarah can you believe it, Twins!"
"Yes I know, I can still remember my shock when the doctor told us that we were expecting twins" she smiled memorializing the memory "were surely blessed with luck to have both of them as daughters too" she laughed eyes gleaming as she stared at her husband *cough *cough "ah yes, quite lucky" he grimaced but then perked up as he remembered something "so about what we talked about yesterday.." he hinted as he raised his eyebrows in a teasing manner, Sarah looked at him in confusion until realization dawned on her. "Ughh fine, you did stay with me as I asked, But! Elliot Cracker! You better not name her one of those dumb names you were throwing at me a couple of days ago" she glared at him, daring him to contradict her "ok ok, geez, I really thought Tinkerbell would be a good name though…" he joked "Elliot!"
"If you yell any louder you're gonna wake up the girls," said Elliot as he picked up the red string "ok so which one is the oldest again?"
Sarah looked at Elliot as if he said the most unamusing joke ever "It's the girl on the left Elliot" sighed Sarah "please don't make this a common occurrence, for both our sakes"
Elliot looked at both the girls in turn and bent down to tie the red string onto the left girl's leg "I was thinking of this one for a while, I was thinking of naming her Layla Blaze" he looked at Sarah for approval but not before saying "when she came out she was crying louder than her sister, I'm betting she'll be the troublemaker in the family" he smiled with excitement twinkling in his eyes. "Nice name, I'm impressed you can even choose a normal name… for once," Sarah said
"Well, there's always a first for everything," he shrugged. "Your turn"
Sarah looked at the youngest and asked Elliot to tie the green string on for her since she was too weak to do so. "I want to name her Kiara Jane, Kiara is my idol's name and her eyes are green like jade, Jane will suit her well".
"It's a nice name, no objection here," Elliot said as he raised his hand
"Good, because If one peep came out of your mouth in disapproval I would have skinned you alive" she hissed. She looked at her sleeping pair of daughters, so adorable she thought, I can't wait to bring you home.

I woke up to the view of a beige ceiling, looking around I noticed that I was in a nursery that had a home-like appeal. From what I can tell from my surroundings I am no longer in the hospital room but in a crib, which is odd since I never woke up from any movement or sound. I never meant to fall asleep, the warmth coming from the woman under me was too much the bear, adding to the fact that she's my mother it just happened naturally.
I was brought back to reality when I felt something else squirming beside me, looking, I could see a newborn just barely waking up with the occasional whimper. Just as I expected the baby started to cry, since It was right next to me the cry was blaring right next to my ear. "Can you pipe down, geez, you're gonna make me go deaf" I yelled, as if anything would go my way, my voice came out as a wail too. Great. Right on cue the sound of footsteps could be heard coming towards the room, the door opened, and the woman that was laying on the bed the day before entered. "Are you crying because you're hungry or need a diaper change?" she said as she closed the door behind her. She walked towards the crib and grabbed the newborn right next to me and left the room. The newborn cries suddenly stopped after a while. When they haven't come back I started to wonder what may have happened to them when the door started to open again. The woman came inside and placed a now sleeping baby back into the crib right next to me, I was about to thank her for solving my deaf problem when she turned to grab me. "Ay, stop! What are you doing! Where are you taking me?" I cried as she picked me up and carried me out of the room.
We passed a couple of doors and a few photos when the hallway opened up into a living room connected to a kitchen, she walked towards the couch that was situated between the island of the kitchen and the Tv. She then sat down on the couch and proceeded to stretch down the hem of her baggy shirt to reveal a set of breasts that leaked some white fluid. I wasn't even able to process what the heck I was looking at when she pressed my face into them. I opened my mouth in shock, my eyes bulged as I froze in place as sweet nectar gushed into my mouth, as if possessed by some instinct I began to suck, savoring every second. Looking up, I began to see this woman In a new light, she began to look less of an imposter to me and more of a protector of sorts.
She had bright blond hair blended with a hint of red with bright green eyes, her skin was clear too with freckles lightly dotting her nose. An attractive woman, even her baggy eyes and slouched shoulders couldn't even make a dent in her appearance.
"I'm glad you didn't put as much of a fuss as your twin sister Layla," She said as she started rubbing my head as I drank. "Kiara, I do hope you stay as calm as this when you get older". After I had my fill she pulled up her shirt and again picked me up and started to walk toward the nursery, I didn't get the chance to think about what she said about that baby as my twin sister or myself when she started to pat my back. Before I knew it I fell back into a deep sleep.

I was shaken awake from the sound of a door slamming, immediately my supposed sister Layla started crying. I heard some movement coming from behind me and noticed that the woman that was my mother was sleeping on the reclinable chair that was at the corner of the room. She got up with a scowl on her face and started walking towards the door, she left, and whoever was at the end of her fumes wasn't gonna like the earful she was gonna give.
From the hallway door, I was able to overhear the ridicule from her to her husband about him slamming the door and how he can't be doing the same habits anymore since they have kids now because the kids would wake up. "Now look at what you did! They got startled and woke up because of you" she whined. "And I finally got Layla to sleep too"
"I'm sorry, I just had a rough day today, I'll try not to do it again"
"Again!? If you do it again you'll be sleeping on the couch you hear me" she seethed. The argument continued for a short while until her husband apologized for the 2nd time, I then heard them walking toward the nursery door. As they entered they walked toward the crib and the woman grabbed me and handed me to her husband, "I'm gonna try to get Layla to sleep, again, so you take care of Kiara until I'm done with her" she said motioning to the crying Layla. He nodded in agreement and left the room with me in his arms, we headed to the couch in front of the tv and proceeded to turn it on but not before making sure the volume was off and the subtitles were on.
While he flipped through the channels I looked up to see what my father looked like, to be honest I was curious what man would marry such an attractive woman my supposed mother was. And lo and behold, a man of equal magnificence, he was making me drool, he had ash-burned brown hair with sharp facial features that made his brown eyes stand out, he had a well built body that symbolized the amount of time he worked out for. I was gonna continue to drool on him when he gasped in shock about something that showed up on the tv, looking over I read the captions as it talked about the death of someone famous.
