Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

This afternoon, Grace has been very busy with some of her shopping. It was the first time she could leave the house, and Gob was still watching him with some bodyguards from Nicholas. But she didn't seem bothered or anything because no matter what Nicholas did, she probably wouldn't care now. So as long as she had permission to leave the house, it was an enjoyable thing for her. And some of the things he bought were the things he needed every day to spend her long day at Kyle's house. Such as some novels, some books and bullpens, and other stationery. As for clothes, she only bought three pieces because she didn't feel the need for them unless she bought a few more pieces of underwear. And some clothes for Korvin because, after all, the weekend appointment Nicholas would take to his house was something Grace had been looking forward to, and of course, she couldn't come home with anything in her hands. And one more bag of groceries, which Grace had been hesitant to buy for a long time. Otherwise, Gob reassured her that it would suit him very well and look cute on him.

"Surely Young Master Kyle will be very pleased with your gift, Miss Hester," said the Gob for the umpteenth time. He seemed to want to convince Grace that what he bought was the right thing and Grace was not wrong at all. Because what she saw from Gob was, time and again, Grace felt like she had doubts about buying Nicholas a tuxedo suit along with a few ties of her choice.

"I'm not sure if this belongs to his taste, Mr Gob. Because this is a tie with bright colours. As far as I can tell, he hardly ever wears anything light-coloured. It's just that somehow when I saw this tie, I remembered him. He always looks neat, wearing a tuxedo with dark ties. I'm sure if he is a great businessman, "Grace praised Nicholas.

One compliment escaped Grace's lips and was followed by other compliments that managed to make Gob seem to smile too. It was clear that Grace was starting to open her heart to Nicholas, and that was a perfect start.

"Doesn't Miss Hester want to give him some razors? I think Young Master Kyle's face is very wrinkled and not fresh enough," Gob prodded again. He wanted to make sure what Grace thought of Nicholas's face, whether it was handsome enough in his eyes. Or not at all. Moreover, after Nicholas had plastic surgery on his face, his previously injured face was utterly unknown to Grace. Now Nicholas' face was perfect without any gaps. Even Nicholas had to lick his words back where he said that he would never change and remove the scars on his face because he wanted every time he saw the wounds on his face, he would never forget what those evil people had done his parents. And who had withdrawn it just because of a Grace? Yes, Gob knew that Nicholas had even gone this far.

"I don't think he needs a shaver or anything. I saw that his face was clean enough. Just a thin beard, and that made him look cool," Grace replied.

"Cool?"

"Yes, he is very cool with that thin beard. Also, his face is very handsome. He fits his appearance now. Very dark and mysterious, has Mr Gob never seen a movie called remember you? And Nick, like the cast, the main character in that film. is Very cool and mysterious. I like male characters like that, Mr Gob."

Gob smiled again at the answer that came out of Grace's mouth. Grace had a particular interest in Nicholas, and Grace was grateful for it. For then, Gob chose silence, watching Grace, who was already sitting in the car, watching the shopping bag, which was Nicholas' belongings inside. Then she returned to her focus behind the wheel, a call from Nicholas came into her cell, Gob swiftly picked up the call.

"Yes, Young Master Kyle," answered the Gob behind the wheel, then he glanced at Grace again, who was now on her chin, and closed her eyes. It seemed Grace had fallen asleep.

"Is Grace done with her shopping?" asked Nicholas from the other side. A possessive question, and this was the first time Nicholas had done it to any human.

"Yes, Young Master Kyle. We have finished shopping, and Miss Hester is now fast asleep."

"What did she buy? And drive carefully, don't let her wake up just because you hit a rock or a pothole," Nicholas threatened later. Gob smiled possessively from Nicholas again, and then he nodded his head again. Either way, Gob thought Nicholas had fallen for Grace completely.

"Miss Hester has bought three clothes for her, some underwear for her, some clothes for her younger brother and best friend, too..." Gob paused, then he saw the shopping bag Grace was holding tightly even though she was asleep. . "And a small gift for Young Master Kyle," the Gob continued at last.

Hearing that, Nicholas didn't say anything else. He immediately hung up his cell phone without a word, Gob who was used to it, immediately hung up his phone. So he brought Grace back on a very comfortable trip and man.

"Mr Gob," said Grace, which almost made Gob flinch. She had no idea that Grace wasn't sleeping at all. She felt terrible, had Grace overheard her conversation with Nicholas? Or Grace didn't hear it? If Grace heard it, then Gob would feel guilty about Grace.

"Yes, Miss Hester? Was my driving too fast and uncomfortable for you?" asked Gob at last. Grace seemed to shake her head, and then she looked at Gob in the rearview mirror.

"Will Nicholas continue to be good?" asked Grace suddenly. Gob was silent for a moment. "I mean, you know what, his aura is very gripping. If I see the dark and wrong side of it, I'm afraid I'll be shocked and run away. I know he's a pretty good businessman. It's just that sometimes I feel something is off—moreover, two young men often enter the house and then disappear somewhere. Then several men like us followed us earlier. As if they were on a secret mission."
