Grace seemed to be leaning on her chin until she saw several black luxury sedans speeding by. There was not just one car, but there were many, while the back of the four police cars seemed to be going very fast. Grace seemed confused by what had happened as if the town had been in a very precarious situation.
"Mr Gob, do you know what's going on now? Why are there so many police cars? I don't know if this town is in a state that's not safe at all," Grace asked. But, earlier, she saw a sedan that was not familiar at all. How not, from one of those cars, there was a car whose number plate she knew very well—the license plate whose car was always in Kyle's front yard.
"It seems Miss Hester has thought a lot. There are police cars and luxury cars; they are not always being chased as criminals and the police, Miss Hester. It could also be a collection of businessmen being escorted by the police. Anything can happen, Miss Hester. This is because replied Gob at last.
Hearing this, Grace seemed to understand and calmed down, and then she sighed, looking out the window with her chin on her head. Slowly, Grace rolled down the car window, and then she closed her eyes tightly. She never thought that she would end up in the outside world. After everything she'd been through, and after almost half a year, she could only be in that luxurious castle which to Grace was a beautiful prison. Which, according to her, is very stuffy, very congested and makes her unable to do anything. And now, she could finally breathe outside again, something that made her very happy to death.
"I am free!" Grace shouted, sticking her head out until the wind swept away from her hands and face. she seemed to be closing her eyes again with so much joy.
Gob, looking pleased to see what happened, seemed quite happy about this. How could he not? He knew very well how Grace's life story began when it first arrived at the Kyle family's house until this moment. So he was going to keep trying to help Grace no matter what. He would be by Grace's side because he already thought of Grace as his little daughter no matter what. Yes, his long-dead daughter from a plague that occurred fifteen years ago.
"Miss Grace, do you want to stop by somewhere first? If so, then I will accompany you there, Miss Hester. As long as the place is still around here, I don't think anything will be a problem—nobody's home. Surely we'll have plenty of time. As long as we get home before Young Master Kyle gets home."
"Really? Are you serious, Mr Gob?" Grace asked with a look of great interest on her face. "However, there are people behind us who are watching us. I was doubtful whether we would be able to leave or not. Since I'm sure they are also under the supervision of Nicholas, and I'm terrified that if Mister Gob does what I want, Mr. Gob is the one who will suffer the consequences. So I think it's better to stay like this. Let it be like this, and slowly we make Nick return to being good and trust me without being a victim behind all of that, especially if that sacrifice is Mr Gob. I do not want,"
Gob could only be touched, and his heart suddenly warmed by Grace's words. He had no idea that Grace would care about him that much, a figure he considered his child. He had also considered him more than an employee at the Kyle household.
"Very well, Miss Hester. Whatever Miss Hester wants, I will follow with all my heart," answered Gob at last.
The two of them returned to silence each other until the car returned to the Kyle family's residence. And who would have thought who parked the car Grace saw neatly there.
Since when?
Those were Grace's thoughts. How could they not, as far as she knew, the car with the same number plate she saw passed her car earlier, opposite Kyle's house. But how can suddenly the car be already in the Kyle family's yard? It was something that made almost no sense at all that left Grace a little flustered. But, of course, she didn't see it wrong, and she memorized the car's number plate. So it would be impossible for her to see what she saw wrong. Then she fell silent again, making Gob look at her confused.
"Miss Hester, is something wrong?" asked Gob then.
Grace, who heard Gob's question, seemed to gasp, then she tried to smile even though it was very stiff.
"Looks like Young Master Kyle is back, Miss," repeated the Gob. Grace could only smile bitterly. She immediately got out of the car that Gob opened, and then she took her shopping.
"I can carry it myself, Mr Gob. So stop making small talk like this. I can't bother you all the time. We are friends, and for a friend, there is no need to shy away from each other, right?" repeated Grace. The Gob seemed to smile at that, bowing slightly with his left hand behind his back and right in front, as if he was saluting Grace.
"Well then, Miss Hester. I will be very flattered that you have considered me a friend. I am deeply moved,"
"I also!" said Grace excitedly. Then the two of them walked away laughing together.
"Miss Hester, would you like to have dinner? I can make you," offered Gob. Hearing that too, Grace seemed to stop her steps, and then she looked at Gob with her hands on her hips.
"We can cook together. I've seen some delicious food. Who knows, Nicholas and everyone else here likes it."
"Miss Hester knows the ingredients?" Gob inquired, who seemed to have doubts about what Grace had said. How could he not? He didn't know that Grace could cook at all."
"I'll put my groceries away first, Mr Gob. After that, I'll come down again with a laptop. With a laptop, we will be able to make all the impossible things possible, believe me!" Grace's spirit. He immediately ran off the stairs, and Gob felt very doubtful about it for some reason. Is it true that Grace can cook?
