Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

"Hey, Korvy! You're really acting like her boyfriend. She's your big sister, you know!"

"In fact . . . if I could, I would marry her so no man would hurt her, Bobby."

"Wow!" Bobby exclaimed in amazement. He does know that Korvin's seemed too obsessed with his older sister. However, Bobby also learned about the past of the Hester family.

To Korvin, Grace was the only family he had and vice versa. So, taking care of his older sister was natural for Korvin.

"So where does Grace work? Can't you find her?"

"In fact, that damn family forbids anyone including me from visiting Grace . . . dammit! She's in Blackpool now, and I'm even more worried about her because she works at Kyle's."

"Kyle's family?" asked Bobby. There was a tone of surprise there. However, Bobby soon covered the shock.

"Yeah... you know, a family that is said to be very... rich. In fact, Grace started working a few days ago. One of the Kyle family's right-hand men gave me a lot of money. They want to buy Grace from me."

"Does the family have a grandson who is about 35 years old, Korvy?" Bobby asked carefully. Korvin frowned, then he looked nonchalant—indifferent.

"I don't know, who cares about that, Bobby . . . all I care about is Grace. What's more, Leoni . . . that fake woman now likes to come to my house."

"Oh . . . dammit! She is a big-breasted woman, Korvy! You have to try it!"

"Oh... sorry, man. She's not my type."

They both laughed, breaking the silence that nature created this afternoon. Their laughter made several people around him turn their heads towards them.

Tonight Nicholas was sitting quietly on Grace's bed and staring at the pale-faced woman in the dark. He was silent, unlike his usual self who would immediately go after Grace's luscious lips.

Nicholas smiled wryly, remembering a scene he had seen earlier this afternoon behind his room. What's more... seeing Grace's smile at Alex, Nicholas didn't like him.

"Damn it!" snorted Nicholas as he punched the bed furiously. He glanced back at Grace then smirked.

For some reason, this one toy made him intoxicated. Usually, Nicholas would never make small talk. He will enjoy his toy body then kill it just like that. But not with Grace. He was willing to wait 13 years to see the little girl grow up and mature.

"Damn it!" cursed Nicholas for the umpteenth time.

He immediately kissed Grace on the lips ferociously until she lost her breath. Before Grace woke up, Nicholas left and then disappeared from behind his secret door. He was silent for a moment, looking at Grace, who was now awake as if the hands were looking for him.

With a cold grin, he looked at Grace, then muttered; "No one can take you away from me, Grace . . . you'll see."

In the morning, Grace was busy preparing breakfast for her Young Master. All Grace knew after a few days of working here was... Her young Master didn't like meat. Almost every day, the food consumed is only vegetables. Grace thought if the Young Master was a man who tended to live a healthy life. Or maybe, even... zealously keeping his body at an ideal state?

She doesn't know... Grace doesn't want to know about it. She was starting to like her Young Master's eating habits. In the morning, the Young Master prefers green tea to black coffee without sugar. During the day, still with the same drink. Just in the evening, the young Master wanted a glass of wine to finish his dinner.

Oh... Has Grace now become interested in what her Young Master likes? She had begun to be curious about the face of the man she had never met. All Grace knew from Leoni was that . . . the man was Nicholas Kyle, and of course, she was a very . . . handsome man.

Even though Grace didn't know right away, she saw what kind of diet he prefers and the decoration of the room. Can Grace believe Leoni's words if it's true?

"Sorry, Miss Hester." Those words managed to startle Grace.

She tilted her face. Red hair tied in one haphazardly seemed to begin to fall on her forehead strands—by—strands.

"Yeah, Gob... what's wrong?" she asked.

She was still wearing the white V-neck T-shirt with the pyjamas she wore from last night. The heating in the Kyles house worked well, which was why Grace didn't have to wear thick clothes to ward off the cold.

"Someone's looking for you, Miss," said Gob. Grace was silent. She frowned, confused.

Anyone looking for her? Wouldn't Korvin be able to visit here? What about Leoni, her best friend? Then, who were they looking for ? Grace felt that she had no acquaintance with anyone other than her beloved sister and her crazy best friend.

"A man, Miss... come out, he is waiting for you at the gate." Gob immediately left.

Grace looked at the clock on the kitchen wall, it wasn't 7:00 yet. She still had a little time to find out who was looking for her.

After that, she wiped her hands with a napkin. Hastily, she walked over to grab her favourite coat and walked out. She was spreading her gaze at the end of the road in front of the gate.

Her brows furrowed again because . . . this was the first time he'd known that Kyle's gates were wide open. Usually, the entrance is closed tightly all the time. "Hey... Grace!" their cry was heard faintly on Grace's ear.

There was Alex there, across the street, carrying some fresh vegetables. He smiled. His right hand waved firmly for Grace.

Grace waved back at him. She smiled at Alex's cute behavior. Was it Alex who was looking for her? If so, then she understood why Alex was looking for her so early in the morning.

Because yesterday... Alex had promised to give some flowers to Grace. Agara can be grown in the garden next to the Kyle family home.

"Grace! Here are your flowers!" Alex shouted. Cross the road with brisk pace.

But , suddenly the unforeseeable happened, a garbage truck drove from the west with breakneck speed? Grace's eyes widened as she saw the garbage truck just getting faster. However, Alex doesn't seem to realize what was coming toward him!

"Alex, watch out!" cried Grace.

Alex noticed Grace's screams stopped. He immediately looked to the left. He was stunned... the vegetables that had been in the basket he was holding fell to the ground. Alex's little eyes widen as the truck gets closer, and...

CRASH!!

"Alex!" Grace cried hysterically.

Alex's body was crushed, crushed under the tires of a large garbage truck. His eyes widened as pain shock set in. Moreover, blood kept pouring out from all the wounds on his body.

"Help! Help me, anyone!" Grace cried, but to no avail. She ran toward the garbage truck that had stopped. There was no one inside the truck. The reckless driver behind the wheel was not there.

Is...is that dump truck driverless?

Grace's head was aching again. Bad memories from her past flooded her mind again. She just stood there, staring at Alex's lifeless body. How could she? She had to see this terrible incident again. 13 years ago, she experienced an awful trauma. Now, God showed her again this heartbreaking accident. A horrific accident that claimed the life of a person that she knew... right before her own eyes.

Grace fell. She looked at Alex's body. She wrapped his face around her hands, which was still intact, and then she cried. She shouldn't have met Alex, and she shouldn't have known Alex. If she knew that this would happen, she would have remained hidden in the house and would never come out even if Gob had told her thousands of times that someone was looking for her. Yes... Grace should have done that.

"So . . . I have made sure that man is done, Nick," said Marvin, who had been standing obediently behind Nicholas.

Nicholas' face was cold, and his eyes kept staring at the sight that some might call gruesome.

But for Nicholas, the sight he saw was the most pleasant.

"I want both of his eyes to be preserved as a memento." The answer is solid. After that, he smirked, took off his black robe, and left, leaving Marvin, who was already bowing obediently to him.
