Chapter 41 - 41

"You have to make sure right away. Where is Bowman now?" Nicholas looked bent while stroking the wine glass in his hand with his thumb. He looked at the mirror so cold and fierce, and then he squeezed the glass until it shattered into pieces. It had never occurred to him at all if the figure he was looking for was most likely right in front of his eyes, and whoever it was Bowman, Nicholas would never let him off the hook. So he had to take swift and appropriate action, no matter if that figure was the best friend of his lover's sister.

"I had no idea there was a young man named Bowman in this town, and what's even more surprising is that this young man is Korvin's best friend. What kind of coincidence is this?"

Nicholas seemed to have closed his eyes, and his memory seemed to be pulled back to the times he came full of emotions at the beach that time, a message telling him that the Bowmans were on vacation at one of the inns there pretending to be a simple happy family, while brought their two young children. Nicholas, who was young at that time and had a high killing intent because of his anger and hurt, without investigating and thinking long, was immediately consumed by the news circulating, which made Nicholas directly come and hunt him mercilessly. But, remembering that Nicholas squinted again, something strange and not quite right here. Wouldn't the mysterious message sign that the sender knew the Bowmans and the Hesters? And more than that, the messenger knows how vengeful the Kyle family is against the Bowmans. Nicholas seemed to think again if that was the case wouldn't it mean that he and the Hester family were being watched? And maybe Korvin is in danger? But, of course, how could it not be if this messenger found out everything and made the Hester family their prey to become scapegoats? The most significant possibility was if the mysterious messenger had something to do with Bowman, and Nicholas would never forgive anyone who would cause a riot. And made the lives of his parents go in vain. Nicholas then glanced at Marvin, sitting next to him, looking at him with relatively high curiosity.

"You know what I was thinking?" Marvin asked Nicholas, the hazel-eyed man winking.

"This is a trap, and for a dozen years, we didn't realize we were being watched and framed, using Hester's family Grace and Korvin as tools for them as a pointless tool of revenge. This is a very terrible thing because the pawns chess that is useless and considered unimportant are usually destroyed pretty quickly, considering if Grace is around, she looks like she's being bait for you, Nick. So this isn't a good thing. We have to find out with both Grace and Korvin if they know anything wrong. Weirdos or people who may have been instrumental in their lives. Because after all, that's the most important thing right now."

Nicholas was silent again. What Marvin said was true. This was a very delicate matter, and it didn't mean that Nicholas was very suspicious of Grace and Korvin or something. Moreover, Grace and Korvin's parents have become victims in this case. It just seemed like the person who had played this foolish game seemed to know all too well about the ins and outs. Whether it was about the Hesters of the Kyles and Nicholas would never make standstill.

"First of all, investigate all of Grace's and Korvy's closest friends or people. We have to start from that first, and then we investigate them. If there is anything suspicious or even they have admitted that they are someone who may be involved or know, or they are almost silent, kill them immediately in a painful way. Because killing them slowly by torturing them will open their mouths without us having to threaten them, "

Marvin seemed to be smiling. Doing vile things was part of Nicholas' hobby, and Marvin didn't mind it at all. Marvin obediently bowed, paying homage to Nicholas, then hurried to leave. Yes, the task has begun now, a job full of challenges. It had been a long time since Marvin had stained his hands with human blood, and now he was going to do it again. Enough to make Marvin happy, even Marvin feels like he will do anything to help his best friend achieve his goals.

"Marvin, what's wrong?" asked Sean, who had met at that moment on the stairs in the main room. Marvin saw Grace, who seemed to be sitting reading a book, but Grace looked at her.

"Oh, I was on my way to find something. It looks like Nick needs some fruit which is very step-by-step this winter. But, you know how your cousin is when he's in the mood for something he can't be denied at all. And it seems I even have to to the country next door that has the fruit."

"Are you crazy? Since when did Nick ask you to do such a strange thing."

"Red would be perfect when it snows tonight,"

Sean immediately fell silent. Yes, he knew that what Marvin said was the keyword that Nicholas always used every time Nicholas gave orders to carry out a series of cruel murders.

Although Sean himself was also confused about the purpose and intent of carrying out the cruel murder, Sean knew if what Marvin said because it wasn't out loud, there must be something. Sean then turned around, and sure enough, he saw Grace was staring at him stiffly.

"Oh, Grace, my future cousin. What are you doing there?" asked Sean stupidly. Marvin walked straight down the stairs, out of the house, into the car, and sped away. Sean looked back at Grace, making Grace confused about it.

"I'm reading a book in the Kyle family library. Is something wrong? I'm confused by the conversation you had with Marvin earlier. Was there something wrong? It looks like you two were talking pretty seriously," Grace said at last. Sean couldn't help but smile stiffly. The fact was that it wasn't Grace that was strange here, but himself and Marvin.

"Oh no, I asked him why he was in such a hurry to get out. It looks like he's been on a mission from Nicholas."

"What mission?" Grace asked Sean, cursing herself again for her stupidity.

"Um, surprise for you. If I say it's not a surprise, is it?"
