Sir Dominguez was confused at what Edward disclosed to him.
An idea that he could not fathom. Someone would dare hurt the only daughter of their Headmaster.
It dawned to Sir Dominguez that the Pride Family also have plenty of enemies. But who would dare to hurt Scarlett. The public may know that the CEO of Pride Holdings Enterprise may have an only daughter but no one has seen her in person.
His confusion became even worse when he tried to think about the information he got from Scarlett's friend.
"Why would they target Scarlett? Who would have known that she is…?" Sir Dominguez took a pause from his words. When he and Edward turned their attention to the noise they suddenly heard.
Prince Kratos caused a commotion from his position when someone accidentally bumped into him.
A medical staff pushing a cart filled with medical tools lost grip on the handle. Causing the Alpha Prince of Crescent Moon Pack to get hit by the hospital cart.
Certain noise and commotion surrounded Prince Kratos. Revealing his presence to Edward and Sir Dominguez.
His intention to further eavesdrop may not happen because he was completely exposed to them.
"Damn it!" Prince Kratos mumbled to himself.
"Sorry, sir! I didn't mean to!" the medical staff sincerely apologized to the Alpha Prince.
Edward Pride recognized Prince Kratos from a distance. Before he could even utter the words about the relations of Scarlett to the Pride Family. He remembered the request of Scarlett to remain anonymous and with the recent incident that took place.
It made him more certain to keep the identity of Scarlett's relation to the Pride Family hidden from others. Since most of the people acknowledge his sister as Scarlett Lively rather than as Scarlett Pride.
Only very few have seen Scarlett Pride in public. Most of the time, she always stays behind the curtains and has been secretive about her appearance in important gatherings.
Even Sir Rodriguez recognized Prince Kratos but he was signaled by Edward Pride not to let Prince Kratos inside the VIP Room where Scarlett was designated.
There was no point for Prince Kratos to observe from afar since his presence was already discovered by them.
As soon as he approached Edward and Sir Rodriguez, Prince Kratos went direct to the point.
"Why are you here? I just saw your father enter the room where Miss Scarlett Lively was confined. Why would he visit her?" the Alpha Prince of the Crescent Moon Pack curiously asked the eldest son of Richard Pride.
Immediately, Edward reasoned out with Prince Kratos.
"Why not?"
"A mere employee of your company and a CEO with his sons appeared in the hospital when she got rushed for an emergency?" Prince Kratos quickly pointed out.
The eldest son of Richard Pride thought it would be problematic if the Alpha Prince of Crescent Moon Pack finds out that the only daughter of the Headmaster of Pride Family works in the same company. Especially now, an unidentified individual targeted his sister and put her life into a life-threatening situation.
Exactly before Edward Pride could respond, Richard Pride left the room with his other two sons.
He replied in response to Prince Kratos' growing suspicion.
"We had to visit a remarkable employee that was put into danger because of my challenge to her. As the CEO of Pride Holdings Enterprise, this is the first time I was proven wrong by someone. And at the expense of her own safety. I feel responsible for what happened to her because if it wasn't for me… then she wouldn't have to experience such a mishap," Richard Pride gave a convincing justification for his sudden appearance.
Others easily understood what Richard Pride wanted to achieve.
To keep Scarlett's true identity hidden from werewolves and non-hunters affiliated individuals, for her own safety.
Prince Kratos wanted to point out about what he witnessed at first when Sir Rodriquez got reprimanded.
But if he does point it out, they will find out that he was indeed eavesdropping for a while now.
So, it will turn him into more unreliable and untrustworthy to deal with.
An important matter that Prince Kratos must maintain… a good relation with the Pride Family.
When there was no further explanation to be mentioned, Richard Pride and his entourage left the premises of the hospital.
Even Prince Kratos wasn't so sure with his own assumptions about the relation of Scarlett with Richard Pride.
"I should be the one asking you, why are you here?" Richard Pride asked.
"Well… I was there when the accident happened and I tried to save Miss Lively from getting hurt," Prince Kratos elaborated to the strict father of Scarlett.
"Apparently, according to Miss Lively's friend, he saved Miss Lively's life from more serious injury," Sir Rodriguez interjected from the conversation of the two.
Richard Pride looked at the Alpha Prince. Instead of thanking him, he just excused himself and exited the premises of the hospital with his sons.
~MOMENTS AFTER~
As they all seated on the black limousine, Richard Pride and his sons began to discuss Scarlett's welfare.
"Father?" Alec wanted to ask their father about Prince Kratos' involvement in the incident.
"I know all of you are worried for Scarlett but Edward's prior decision to go along with Scarlett's façade for her identity would be a great way of protecting her as well. Especially now, there is a lurking threat around and someone targeted her specifically!" Richard Pride clenched his fist in agitation as he informed his sons.
Scarlett's personal chauffeur, Sir Rodriguez, remained around Scarlett's room as her personal bodyguard as well upon Richard Pride's command.
"Then do you think leaving her on her own will be the best idea of protecting her?" Gary evidently disagreed with their decision to leave her there.
"She is not alone there! Rodriguez will be there to monitor and guard her," Their father's explanation.
"You mean the man we entrusted the life of Scarlett and failed to keep her unharmed. Don't you think it is still the right decision, father?" Gary further disagreed.
"Don't worry, I also requested the help of the Hunters Association. I activated a special team that will be on standby around the block of the hospital building. If Scarlett's assailant appears once more, we will be able to identify the one responsible for her injury," Richard Pride thoroughly discussed with his sons.
The Headmaster of the Pride Family emphasized to his sons that it would be better for Scarlett to keep her true identity as the only daughter of the Pride Family hidden and for her to become a professional hunter.
A growing suspicion of Richard Pride about the efforts of Prince Kratos to be around Scarlett.
If he would consider what Gary has reported to him.
"I want you three to monitor the movement of the royal family. There has been a strange movement from them recently, I want to know if they are responsible for this because if they do…" Richard Pride became more serious in his tone after reminding his sons.
He continued with his words, "There will be purging of werewolves in the central region!"
"Starting with the royal family!" his final words.
