Things were suddenly not going the way that she had expected them to. The friend that Jen had brought with her was someone completely hadn't anticipated being a possibility.
"Celeste! What a pleasant surprise to see you here." Crescent greeted the other warmly as he and Jen approached the table.
"You two know each other?" Her friend asked surprised as she looked between the two.
"Only a little bit. I met her when I went to go get coffee last week during one of the hell weeks at my residency." He explained. He pulled out Jen's chair so that she could take her seat before he took his own. Celeste could nod in mute agreement as her brain worked in over time as she tried to figure out a way to quickly solve this unexpected dilemma.
