Celeste thanked Liam again when he dropped her off outside of her apartment. He didn't let her leave though without allowing him to give her another kiss on the check. His reason was that if they were to keep up the farce, they need to keep it up until she was safely inside for the night.
He wasn't wrong, but it made her feel slightly guilty that he was willing to go so far for her considering they had hardly just gotten back in touch. She was going to have to make up to him. One way she knew that she could do that first was to make sure she didn't kill the flowers that he had given her.
As she walked up the stairs to her apartment after Liam left, her mind wandered on to whether or not she had a proper vase that she could use. She didn't think that there was a time in the past that she had ever gotten flowers. That meant she'd likely not had one and would have to find a makeshift one for the night.
