Another guard suddenly came over to the guard who had reprimanded Rowena just now. That person seemed to be whispering something to the guard so the guard who was rebuking Rowena looked very surprised.
The guard who had just arrived bowed to Rowena. "Forgive my brother, Her Majesty the Grand Duchess. She just started work today, he doesn't know anything about you."
The guard who had just reprimanded him immediately prostrated himself in front of the horse Rowena was riding. "My apologies, Grand Duchess."
The two people's bodies seemed to be shaking, it seemed they were scared. Rowena, not wanting to waste any more time, immediately mounted her horse into the training ground and allowed the two guards to prostrate and bow.
Her arrival there was greeted by the three knights she had exercised with when she had only been accepted as Sunverro's knight by Prince Helios for a few days. The knights were Sir Reon, Sir Theo, and Sir Wayle. They greeted Rowena with happy faces. Rowena immediately got off her horse, then there was a stable keeper who led her horse into the stable.
"Hey, how are you three doing? I haven't seen you in a few days," said Rowena, patting Sir Wayle's shoulder.
"Very well of course. When I got home I went straight back to my house and spent the day with my family," replied Sir Wayle.
"Just like Wayle, I've been busy spending time with my children and grandchildren. How about you, Rowena?" said Sir Theo.
"From what I hear now you have earned the title of Grand Duchess. Is that true?" asked Sir Reon.
Rowena lowered her head and began to complain. "You are very right. Even though I wanted to live a leisurely life, His Majesty the Emperor gave me such a heavy title and position."
"Never mind, you just resign yourself to your fate. Think of it as luck. If you run into trouble the three of you will always help you," said Sir Wayle trying to encourage Rowena.
Rowena chuckled and said, "Alright. Now I'm going to meet those blue squads. By the way aren't you three also members of the blue squad?"
"Yes, we are your subordinates. Even though we used to be people who have the same position and now you are my superior. Then ask for your noble help now, Your Highness the Grand Duchess," said Sir Reon as he bowed his body.
"Stop being so formal. If you want I can give you my position as commander of this blue army," said Rowena.
Sir Reon laughed when he heard Rowena's tempting offer. "I don't need that pathetic title. I still want to spend time with my beloved family."
"You disloyal friend," Rowena cursed.
Rowena walked into the training ground. There were already members of the blue army gathered. Rowena stood in front of everyone and looked closely at the faces of the people who would work under her leadership.
"I am Rowena Ernest de Erica. From now on I will be your commander. So I ask for your cooperation in the future," said Rowena.
Having finished saying a few words, Rowena began to order her troops to run around the training grounds for twenty laps. After that, they continued with various other warm-ups before practicing swordsmanship. The members of the blue squad could have sworn that it had been a really tough day because Rowena was very serious about training them.
On the first day of meeting, some of the blue troops who didn't participate in the war began to think of Rowena as a demon in human form for constantly letting her subordinates train without rest from morning to evening. For some of the other blue troops who participated in the war with Rowena, they were no longer surprised by this. They are also not too tired like the troops who did not join the war because their physique has been very well trained during the war.
When Rowena was focusing on training her troops suddenly someone hugged her from behind. From his scent, Rowena could already guess who was the person who casually hugged her while she was busy training her soldiers. That person must be his own brother, Sir Damian.
Sir Damian rested his chin on Rowena's neck. "Let's go home, my dear sister."
"Does your troops finish their duty sooner?" replied Rowena who still maintains her posture while watching her men.
"I ran away from training when Cedric didn't see me," snickered Sir Damian.
"As expected big brother would do that."
"Quickly disperse your troops and then we will return to the house. I have something to show you later," said Sir Damian who tightened his embrace.
"Then quickly get your hands off me," said Rowena.
Sir Damian immediately let go of his embrace. As Sir Damian said, Rowena immediately disbanded her troops. Her troops quickly left the training grounds before Rowena changed her mind and held them back for more physical training.
Sir Damian also took Rowena's hand to accompany her out of the training ground and towards the horse carriage which seemed to have been waiting for them all along. As usual Sir Damian helped Rowena into the horse carriage. After Rowena had managed to enter, Sir Damian also came in and sat next to Rowena.
"What do you want to show me?" Rowena asked.
"Just a mansion of your own," Sir Damian replied casually.
"Don't tell me you bought it for me," Rowena guessed.
Sir Damian gave a small smile and gently stroked the girl's head. "Of course not. Personally I'd prefer you to stay with me."
"Then who gave the mansion to me?"
"His Majesty the Emperor himself gave the mansion to you. Originally the mansion was one of the residences belonging to the Emperor when he was still the Crown Prince. It seems that Helios forced the Emperor to give the mansion to you so you don't live with me anymore," explained Sir Damian.
Rowena remained silent and continued to listen to Sir Damian's laments about the state of his troops and Prince Helios until the carriage suddenly stopped.
"Looks like we've arrived at your new mansion. Let's go downstairs." Sir Damian opened the carriage door and got off first then stretched out his right hand to help Rowena.
Rowena accepted Sir Damian's outstretched hand and lowered her head as she was about to get off the horse carriage. As she stomped her feet on the ground, she looked around to assess what the newly gifted emperor's mansion looked like. Rowena's face slightly wrinkled when she saw the mansion, not because the mansion had an ugly or dirty appearance, but she felt a little strange when she saw another mansion that was right next to hers.
"Why can my new mansion be right next to yours, brother?" Rowena asked as she looked at her sister's face.
Sir Damian just laughed awkwardly. "This mansion was built by my father as a gift for the Emperor's 17th birthday. Besides, it seems that Helios didn't use his brains when he asked His Majesty the Emperor to give you this one mansion. Isn't it a good thing, after all, that we don't have to be too far apart. "
Rowena took a deep breath and couldn't help but surrender. "Yes you're right."
They immediately entered Rowena's new mansion and went around exploring every corner of the room in there. Rowena had to admit that this new residence of hers was truly vast, even larger than Sir Damian's. The residence consists of three large mansions, a very large flower garden, and two greenhouses.
The residence was still very quiet because there were no servants or knights there because the residence had indeed been vacated for a very long time.
"Looks like I'll have to ask Helios to help me find a maid," Rowena muttered.
Sir Damian who heard Rowena's muttering immediately said, "No, you don't need to ask that damn one for help. I will send the maids, knight guards, along with the butler and housekeeper myself."
Rowena's eyes sparkled again. At least he didn't have to bother asking Prince Helios for help anymore because there were already people willing to help him now. "For the butler and housekeeper I can look it up myself."
"Okay then. Now let's go back to my residence. Later I will send my house maid to clean your mansion."
Finally Rowena returned with Sir Damian to Sir Damian's mansion. Rowena would only be able to live in her new residence for two days.
