Rowena immediately turned towards the source of the voice. It turned out that the person who had just spoken to him was Diego. The man approached Rowena with a few maids following behind. Diego's servants carried a box in each of their hands.
"It seems I've been seeing you a lot lately, Your Highness the Prince. Was it a coincidence?" replied Rowena.
"Think of it as God's destiny to unite us as one," Diego said cheerfully.
Rowena folded her arms. "So, what are you trying to tell me to even bother to sneak into the blue army training ground with that power of yours and greet me in such a friendly manner now?"
Diego smiled at Rowena's hypothesis. "This is the reason why I have liked you so much from our first meeting, Your Majesty the Grand Duchess. You are a very intelligent and quick-witted woman."
"Stop praising me with those horribly disgusting words. You'd better get the point across," Rowena replied.
Diego handed Rowena the boxes his servants had brought. "Six o'clock in the evening, I'll be attending a party hosted by marchioness Doreta. Then I want you to come with me as my partner at the party later. I'll pick you up at the Marquess Squella's mansion at five o'clock this afternoon. See you soon, Lady Erica."
Diego immediately left Rowena carrying a pile of boxes in her hand.
"Hey, damn prince! I just cleared my rumors about my love affair with my brother. Now you want to stir up new rumors about you and me. So what's in this box you gave me?" cried Rowena, her temper bursting.
"Those boxes contain dresses and jewelry that you can wear to the party tonight. Remember, I'll pick you up at five o'clock," Diego replied with a shout from a distance.
Rowena threw the boxes on the ground and started cursing as she walked away. The guards who saw this took the initiative to take the boxes to the horse carriage that was waiting for the Grand Duchess at the palace gates.
Inevitably Rowena had to attend with Diego to the party. Rowena immediately returned to the Squella residence and cleaned herself up by soaking in the bath. After she finished her bath, she immediately ordered the servants to help him get ready. She only had an hour before Diego came to pick him up.
When Rowena opened the boxes Diego had given her, she saw a dress inside. The dress was Odelette's signature outfit. In addition to the dress, the other box also contained some jewelry made of Karpella diamonds (a very rare pink diamond used only by the Odelette imperial family).
Rowena asked the maids to help her put on the clothes and accessories that Diego gave her. It was a good thing Sir Damian hadn't come home yet. If that person found out that Rowena was going to a party with Diego, then it was very likely that Sir Damian would bring Sir Cedric, Prince Helios, and the Red Army to destroy the party.
Rowena was very happy because all the maids in the Squella residence were people who were so talented that it only took forty minutes to dress her, whereas normally it would take a noblewoman two hours to dress up normally.
After finishing making up, Rowena immediately left the mansion. Outside the mansion there was Diego in Odelette's typical princely outfit who was standing waiting for Rowena all this time. Rowena walked out of the mansion and approached Diego.
"You look very beautiful, Lady Erica. It is a very big honor for me to be able to attend the party with a woman as beautiful as you," said Diego.
"Stop praising me again, Diego. We'd better go now so we don't be late. I don't want to be the last guest and be the center of attention of all the guests there," Rowena said.
"As you wish, My Lady. Let's go now!" Diego reached out his hand and bent halfway down to help Rowena get into the luxurious horse carriage he had prepared as a means of transporting them to Marquess Doreta's residence.
Arriving at the residence of Marquess Doreta, Diego asked Rowena to take his hand. Rowena who had given up and was tired of arguing with Diego immediately took the man's arm tightly. Now they were standing right in front of the entrance of the mansion where the party was being held.
"Crown Prince Diego Odelete de Pauline and Grand Duchess Rowena Ernest de Erica entered the banquet hall," a guard shouted as he opened the door for the two of them.
All eyes immediately turned to the two of them when they heard their names shouted by the doorman. Marchioness Doreta also looked very surprised because as far as she remembers she never invited Rowena to her party.
Despite their fear, they were all in awe of Diego and Rowena's painting-like beauty. Diego who looks handsome and dashing in his typical Odelette prince uniform and Rowena who looks very charming in Sabrina's dress with a ruffle piled skirt model which is also added with lace. Jewelery made of Karpella diamonds makes it even more striking.
Rowena's presence with Odelette Empire's clothing and jewelry made the guests who were present there speculate that Rowena would become Odelette's Empress in the future. Now Rowena just had to strain her ears to hear the new rumors about her for the umpteenth time.
The music began to be heard clearly in Rowena's ears. The guests there have started dancing with their respective partners.
Diego bent half of his body and smiled warmly at Rowena. "Would Lady be willing to dance with me?"
Rowena also bowed half of her body. "Of course I do."
They both started dancing. Honestly Diego was a little surprised by Rowena's dancing ability. According to the information he had managed to gather, Rowena was just the child of a commoner who came from the Terania Kingdom. But seeing him who could dance this perfectly and her etiquette at the level of the Royal family made Diego feel strange and even more suspicious of her origins.
After dancing, everyone immediately surrounded the two of them. Most of them were noble ladies and gentlemen. Marchioness and Marquess Doreta as hosts also greeted them both.
"We both salute Imperial Light Odelette as well and Her Majesty Grand Duchess Erica," said Marquess Doreta as he bowed in half with her wife.
"Thank you for inviting me to Marchioness Doreta's birthday party. The party was very grand," said Diego.
"First of all, forgive me if the question I am about to ask seems presumptuous. I would like to ask how did Her Majesty the Grand Duchess attend my party? Even though I never sent you a letter of invitation," Marchioness Doreta said.
Rowena smiled and hugged Diego's arm again. "Of course I can. As a Grand Duchess it's very easy for me to come to this party. If anyone gets in my way, I just need to sever their heads from their bodies. But since I don't want to make a fuss, I'm here as Diego's partner. "
