Chapter 28 - TKWTR 028

The Prince's Palace is one of several palaces in the Sunverro Imperial Palace area. The prince palace is a palace that has been used for generations by the Crown Princes in every generation. The palace was built very grandly and beautifully for the convenience of the occupants.

One of the most enjoyable places there is the training ground. There are tons of weapons in every corner of the room. It was the place where Prince Helios had practiced his sword since he was six years old.

Now Rowena was doing her usual morning routine at the venue which was running around the training ground and then perfecting her sword skills again. She deliberately got up early this morning to practice because the calm and peaceful atmosphere in the morning was very supportive.

After two hours of practice, Rowena's clothes were immediately drenched in her own sweat. She was still gasping for breath. She also decided to sit for a while on the edge of the training ground so that she could rest for a while. A waiter came with a tray with a cold drink.

"Grand Duchess, I am here to bring you the drink you asked for this morning," said the maid respectfully.

Rowena took the drink carefully from the tray and then she smiled at the waitress who had brought it. "All right. Thanks for bringing it to me."

The maid immediately blushed because she had served the imperial family and several nobles but no one had treated her with respect and courtesy like Rowena. "You don't need to thank me, Grand Duchess. It is my duty as a maid."

After saying that the waiter left Rowena, who was enjoying her drink. In the midst of her excitement, Rowena suddenly took her sword which she had put beside her slowly. It didn't take long for him to point his sword at him. If anyone had seen her then they might have thought Rowena was a little crazy or weird.

But ordinary people might not be able to realize that someone who was hiding his presence with dark magic was standing right behind Rowena while aiming his sword right at Rowena's neck. It wouldn't be Rowena if she didn't turn against someone who would fight her.

"Your Highness Prince Diego, I don't think you need to hide yourself with dark magic anymore because I can already sense your mana," said Rowena.

Prince Diego instantly deactivated his magic and dropped his sword then raised both hands as a sign that he had given up. "I really admire you, Rowena. How did you know of my existence just because of my mana? Even the emperor or empress to Helios didn't even notice me when I used my magic."

Rowena also lowered her sword. "I never knew our relationship was this close until you called me by my name."

Diego walked over to Rowena. "You can't change the subject like that, Rowena."

"Damn it! I can't fool this human," Rowena thought.

The only people who can use magic are the original people of the Odelette empire. Apart from them, there was no one else who could use magic power. If one can sense the mana possessed by another, it is a sign that that person also has magical powers.

"Would you believe me if I told you that I have the power of the six elements of magic," Rowena said jokingly.

Diego was silent for a moment. "Actually it's a bit hard to believe because the only people who can use magic are Odelette natives whereas from what I heard you are a person from the Terania Kingdom."

Rowena brought her face closer to Diego's. "Didn't you ever think that I purposely ordered Helios and all the soldiers who joined the war with me to hide the facts about my origins?"

Diego's eyes immediately opened wide. He didn't seem to think about that possibility at all.

"Shall we make a bet? Didn't it say that the swordsmanship of the Grand Duchess was so great that it killed hundreds of thousands of people during the war? The stakes are that if I can endure a sword fight with you for thirty minutes, then you must tell me one important fact about how can you notice my mana just now."

"What if you can't hold on?" Rowena asked.

"Then I will grant whatever you wish," Diego replied without thinking.

"Are you sure you'll grant any of my requests? What if I told you to die right in front of me?"

"Hey, aren't you being too cruel? After all I'm the Crown prince of Sunverro's ally, how can you tell me to die. After all, if I die who will replace me as crown prince?" said Diego, narrowing his eyes.

"You have a younger brother. If you die, he will take your place," Rowena said innocently.

"Never mind, let's not talk about that anymore. Let's start fighting." Diego picked up his sword again and began to square off.

Rowena happily took her sword as well and fought Diego. The battle could be said to be very fierce. Rowena continued to attack Diego desperately, while Diego kept trying to defend and protect his neck because Rowena had been aiming for his neck.

In the end Diego managed to survive Rowena's brutal attack for thirty minutes. As a result, Diego's whole body is full of sword scratches created by Rowena's blade. Even so Diego was still happy because he managed to win the bet.

"Please tell me how you can notice my mana, Grand Duchess Erica?" Diego immediately sat on the ground because he was exhausted.

Rowena didn't answer Diego's question. She immediately showed her light and darkness magic in front of Diego. Seeing that made Diego surprised for a moment.

"How can you have light and darkness magic? Isn't that magic only owned by the descendants of the Odelette imperial family?" asked Diego who was starting to get confused himself.

"Like I said before there is a possibility that I will order people to keep my origins under wraps. As important information for you, my mother is one of the original descendants of the Odelette Imperial family."

Rowena walked away leaving Diego who was still lost in his confusion. "Then I'll go first. See you Prince Diego."

Rowena entered the palace of Prince Helios and walked towards his room. She ordered the servants to help him change clothes. Finished changing his training clothes into a knight's uniform, she came out of the palace and rode her horse to the blue army training ground in the main palace.

When ahe arrived at the gate of the blue army training ground. She was detained by a guard guarding the gate.

"Who are you? How can a woman dare to come here wearing a knight's uniform," said a guard.
