"Okay then, I'll be right there," replied Rowena.
"Then Sir Ivan, I will go first to see His Majesty. Goodbye," said Rowena before leaving Sir Ivan.
Rowena followed the guard after arriving in front of Prince Helios's tent, she immediately entered there with ease. Inside the tent were Prince Helios, Sir Cedric, Sir Damian, and several other knights who were representatives of the war strategy division, who were sitting in their seats.
Seeing that there was an empty chair right next to Sir Cedric, Rowena quickly sat there. With Rowena already present, the meeting to discuss the strategy for the conquest of the Valeccio Kingdom began.
"Rowena, please explain the strategy you discussed yesterday to everyone here. Let them decide whether your strategy is appropriate to use or not," Prince Helios ordered.
Rowena got up from her chair and opened the three rolls of maps that were already on the table. She began to explain her strategy to everyone present.
"In my opinion, we should conquer Richella territory and Terania Kingdom first. If all of you ask why, the answer is Valeccio Kingdom is the largest Kingdom in this western continent. If you directly attack it like you did a few months ago before you conquered the Northern continent , then what will happen is a repeat of defeat."
Actually, before Helios and his troops controlled all of the Kingdoms in the Northern Continent, at first he planned to conquer the Valeccio Kingdom in the western continent first, but when he started the conquest Valeccio's troops really beat his troops so badly that Sunverro's troops were forced to retreat. After successfully conquering the Northern continent, Helios again plans to conquer Valeccio.
"Geographically, the Kingdom of Terania and the region of Richella surround the Kingdom of Valeccio. If we succeed in conquering those two regions it's not that we can surround Valeccio from all directions."
"Then what about Valeccio's subjugation plan?" asked a knight.
Rowena sat back in her chair. "If we have succeeded in conquering those two territories, Valeccio's side will surely start to feel threatened knowing that his kingdom has been surrounded by our troops. As a first solution, they will definitely invite us to a party held by them to make a request for peace."
"I think the strategy described by Rowena is very good and makes sense. But even so I still have to hear from all of you," said Prince Helios.
"I think the strategy presented by Dame Ernest is perfect."
"I totally agree if we use Dame Rowena's strategy."
"Looks like Dame Ernest's strategy will give Sunverro a bigger advantage."
"Alright then we will attack Terania Kingdom and Richella Territory simultaneously. Order the troop commanders to gather their troops and divide into two and then we will attack both territories tonight!" Prince Helios ordered.
All the knights came out of Prince Helios' tent after the meeting ended. Now in the tent only Rowena, Prince Helios, Sir Cedric and Sir Damian remained.
"Should I also join the battle in conquering the two territories?" Rowena asked Prince Helios.
"Of course you can't come. If you do then Sunverro's army will really suffer a huge loss," Prince Helios replied firmly.
"If you all go to war tonight, then what am I supposed to do here?" said Rowena who did not understand the words of Prince Helios.
"Cedric and Damian will accompany you here while we are all at war," Prince Helios replied casually.
Sir Cedric, Sir Damian and Rowena were immediately startled and shouted "WHAT??"
"Your Majesty, what do you mean by telling me to stay here with them?" said Sir Cedric who seemed annoyed by the Prince's sudden decision.
"Since everyone here is leaving, we shouldn't still have to leave a few people to guard here," Prince Helios replied.
Damian, who already knew what was going to happen next, told Rowena to leave. "Dame Ernest, I think you'd better get out of here before the war between Cedric and the Prince begins."
"All right. Goodbye, Sir Damian," Rowena giggled.
As usual time flies very fast. Unknowingly morning has turned into night. Now all the soldiers and knights were preparing their horses and wearing armor, so was the Prince. After everything was ready they began to depart and spread out in both directions. All the soldiers seemed very excited about this battle. Seeing that Rowena herself was sure that this battle would end in just three days.
As per Prince Helios' orders, now in the Sunverro military camp there were only Rowena, Sir Cedric, and Sir Damian standing guard there. Now all the three of them had to do was guard the military camp until all of Sunverro's troops returned safely.
Sir Cedric, Sir Damian and Rowena were now sitting together around the bonfire. Sir Cedric and Sir Damian were still not used to the coldness of the western continent.
"Dame Ernest, what made you the knight you are today?" asked Sir Damian.
Rowena who was tired of reminding people to call her with the addition of Dame in front of her name replied, "I was forced by my father to become a knight when I was 10 years old. At least it's better than being told to marry a rich old man."
"It's not that you'd rather marry that rich old man. At least your life will be fulfilled and secure rather than being a burden as it is now," said Sir Cedric.
"What do you mean by saying I'm a burden, Sir Cedric? I think while I'm here, I've always been doing things that benefit you rather than being a burden," answered Rowena who didn't seem to really care what Sir Cedric said.
"If you feel that you are not a burden, His Majesty should include you in the battle this time. But why did His Majesty forbid you and tell you to stay here?" sarcasm Sir Cedric.
Sir Damian who was sitting next to Sir Cedric also nudged his right shoulder and whispered, "Never mind Cedric. You had a fight with His Majesty this morning, do you want to fight again with Dame Ernest?"
"Am I that weak in the eyes of all of you?" Rowena said with the corners of her lips raised.
"Never mind, Dame Ernest. Don't think too much about the words of this stone man. He often talks nonsense," said Sir Damian, trying not to get into a fight between the two people he was with.
Rowena got up. "Then I'll go back to my tent first."
Rowena walked leisurely towards her tent while looking at the stars scattered in the beautiful night sky. Even though she thought that in this place there would be no one who underestimated him just because she was a woman. It turns out that there are still people like that.
