Some minor spoilers ahead

The timeline is different than the pokemon

world we all know of, as this is a similar planet to the pokemon world because it has Pokemons you can tame but different timelines than the original.

It will still have the famous characters such as professor oak, lance, etc. but yea as I have said this will be a different timeline and different back story

The mc will experience war while Oak's timeline will experience the after effects, and yes the mc is definitely older than Oak. There are more advanced knowledge about pokemon growth and potential, breeding and caring because it is needed but this world is slow in the realm of evolutions as some special stones such as fire stone etc are rare and are a luxury and some special condition such as trading evolution are not yet discovered.

Note that this is slow build.

POTENTIAL;

There are 8 level of pokemon potential in this planet, with 3 stages each making a total of 24 : (Arrange from lowest to highest);

Red -> Dark Red -> Red Orange

Orange -> Dark Orange -> Yellow Orange

Yellow -> Dark Yellow -> Yellow Green

Green -> Dark Green -> Blue Green

Blue -> Dark Blue -> Blue tinge with Violet

Violet -> Dark Violet -> Violet tinge with Gold

(The next potential which is a Deep Violet with smidge of gold is an indicator that, that pokemon became a half shiny)

(The Gold stage is extremely rare for non-shiny pokemon to ascend but is not unheard of this is also the stage where non-shiny pokemon becomes shiny pokemon, this stage is mostly achieve by those that have max friendship with them, that is for the non-shiny pokemon case. But if the pokemon is shiny then it is an easy pass as shiny are more powerful and valuable than their counterpart, of course they need max friendship as well to attain gold potential)

Gold -> Deep Gold -> Gold tinge with Platinum

(Platinum is the greatest potential a non-shiny pokemon can have, more than this potential for a non-shiny pokemon is unheard of, meanwhile the deep-platinum is the greatest potential for shiny Pokemon while the Diamond stage are reserve only for legendaries)

Platinum -> Deep Platinum -> Diamond

BADGES?

In this world instead of badges there are marks that will be ingrained in your skin with the natural elemental power of the designated gym that you have challenged and passed. Naturally these marks have powers in them that raises your affinity with that certain element. These marks can be placed anywhere on your body and be visible when used and invisible when not in use or the user didn't activate it.

MARKS

Marks can also be said as the power base of Elementalists, Espers and Aura users as it powers up their affinity in said element, especially so for the Elementalists.,

At the moment there are a total of 3 Main Jobs which are the Pokemon Trainer, Pokemon Researcher, and Pokemon Breeder.

As for being a Pokemon Doctor, Ranger, etc. they are a branch of the main jobs at this time. The demand for the Three main jobs are the highest especially so for talented and strong trainers and the job of a doctor and ranger just behind them. There are also designated ranks that depends on their knowledge and power for each of those jobs.

Civilians that became trainers are restricted from having too many Pokemons at once base on their trainer ranks, while those in a clan are decided by their elders and matriarch on how many the can and should carry.
