The insanity's warnings evaded her mind, long after their conversation. The insanity was right in pointing out the odd feelings she was starting to have. It was unnatural and unbecoming of her to start having feelings for the man who did nothing but torment her for the last couple of years. Evading and also being the villain of her court case.
Violet was sleepless the entire night. Her mind was plagued by her insanity's warnings and the thoughts of their kiss. She would catch her fingers tracing along her lips and then slap herself hard on the cheeks to wake her up in reality. The princess was growing disgusted with how her mind worked around the concept of John and her together. Why would she even start thinking of it right now?
