Together they set out to escape through the city. They ran down many streets until they heard the sheriff's shout and got within safe distance of the bullets.
"So, Nazo... huh? That's not a local name." Perros mused.
"No, it isn't. I am from a foreign village, Mori. That village isn't even in this territory." Nazo said while holding Perros.
After a while on the run, they stopped.
"We should be safe here, ehm... and your name is?" Nazo asked.
"Yeah... I'm Perros." He replied.
They both looked around and believed they were out of sight.
"Good boy, Delgado." Perros smiled and gave him a carrot.
"So, Nazo... tell me, how did you end up here in this godforsaken land?" He asked as he fed Delgado.
"It's a long story, are you sure you want to hear it?" Nazo asked uncertainly.
Perros and even Delgado began to nod their heads, their eyes were glowing like stars.
"Alright..." Nazo said.
"In my home country, we as villagers are oppressed by the richer and stronger.... moreover the government does nothing. They take our food, our money even when if they have it, at least they didn't hurt us. All my life I've somehow endured it, but the last straw was when.... my family got attacked by one of them." Nazo said sadly but angrily at the same time.
"It must be hard to live there." Perros said thoughtfully.
--village Mori, 10 years ago--
In a wooden house at the end of the village surrounded by trees.
"Mom, they're here for the money and supplies." Said young Nazo.
"Sigh... here we go again." Nazo's mum came out in front of their house and put on a fake smile.
"Welcome, mister... here for our offering?" She said with pouch of money in her hands.
"Cut the crap, that's not why I'm here. Just give me the money and suplies already..." He said gruffly.
"Don't talk to my mom like that!" Yelled young Nazo.
"It's alright Nazo, go get the other suplies." Nazo's mom smiled.
"As you wish..." Nazo looked coldly at the collector and left.
"That brat is so anoying..." The Collector said haughtily.
"Don't mind him, he's just a kid." Nazo's mom bowed.
When Nazo went to get supplies, he saw his younger sister looking out the window.
"Cyra, what are you doing here?" Nazo asked softly.
"Don't mind me Nazo, just go for the suplies." She smiled.
"Just don't get spotted..." He replied and moved on.
When Nazo returned with the suplies, that man was still there, waiting impatiently.
"You're taking your time, brat." He smiled sarcastically.
"Here are your supplies, mister..." Nazo looked at him with narrow, angry eyes.
The Collector looked into the pouch of gold and into the supplies.
"Humph... it's less than last month." The Collector looked mad.
"We... had more expenses this month." Nazo's mother couldn't believe her eyes.
"Sorry..." She added and bowed again.
He looked around and saw something moving in the window. The Collector looked in the window and saw Cyra.
"Oh no..." Cyra whispered.
"Let me see your house..." The Collector said and gestured for his men to come with him.
"I don't think it's a good idea, I haven't cleaned in a while." Nazo's mom was worried.
"Oh, don't worry I won't judge." The Collector said with fake smile and headed into the house.
Nazo's mom stepped between the doors and spread her arms.
"Really... you shouldn't" She didn't even have time to finish her sentence before the Collector pushed her away.
"I said... I want to see your house..." The Collector said gruffly.
Nazo's mom looked terrified.
"No, wait." She said in a shaky voice.
Cyra tried to escape through the window, but his henchmen got her.
"CYRA!" Nazo's mom screamed.
"We'll take it for what you didn't give us... she' ll serve the boss well." The Collector laughed.
They were on their way from the house, but then he heard something.
"LET HER GO!" Nazo ran out of the house with fear in his eyes.
Nazo tried to take Cyra back from them, but he was sent flying back.
"You bastards!" Nazo said weakly.
The Collector and his henchmen stopped.
"Brat, don't interfere with our business..." The Collector smiled sarcasticly.
Nazo was really angry. He quickly got up and wanted to try to get her again... He got hit so hard that he fell unconscious.
"Nazo... Nazo... NAZO!" He heard his mother's voice screaming faintly from behind him.
Nazo woke up after a few hours at home in bed. He got up quickly.
"Where is Cyra, Mom? Was it just a nightmare?" Nazo asked in a weakened voice.
His mother burst into tears and hugged Nazo. He started to cry too.
"One day we will find her. I promise." She said softly.
"Of course." Nazo replied with tears in his eyes.
Nazo's mother informed the government, said they would look into it. Two years have passed and they've done nothing.
During those two years, Nazo honed his thieving skills. He stole from the rich and gave to the poor so that nothing like that would ever happen again.
And one day.
"Those fools really didn't do anything." Nazo was mad.
"Two years, two damn years, and they've done nothing." He added.
"And what do you want to do, go find her?" His mom asked in annoyance.
"You know what... yes." And he went to pack his things.
"THAT WAS QUICK!" She was surprised.
After Nazo packed his things, he went to say goodbye to his mother.
"I won't come back without her, I promise." Nazo said determinedly.
"I know you won't." His mom smiled and gave him a kiss.
"Have a save journey, Nazo." She added and slowly started to cry.
Nazo said his last goodbyes and went to find his younger sister.
--Present--
"And after finding some information and infiltrating their base, I've learned that she should be in this town somewhere." Nazo finished talking.
Perros and Delgado were deeply in sleep.
"Why did you wanted me to tell you my story, WHEN YOU FELL ASLEEP!" Nazo shouted waking both of them up.
"But it was a good story... heartwarming." Perros said sleepily.
"So, what's the plan?" Perros asked.
"Well, I'M going to save my sister!" Nazo said determinedly.
"I can't just sit back, let me help." Perros said.
And so together they began to plan the rescue of Nazo's younger sister Cyra.
