"I am sorry, Professor,", Hermione said in disbelief, "but are you so sure that I, or my parents will believe that you came from a huge castle, turned from a human to a cat and then back to human and sent that owl with a letter for me to go learn magic! Just ridiculous!".
"Hermione, please.", her mother pleaded, "Be nice."
Hermione couldn't believe her mother. She hated the fact that this woman here, in a witch's costume was OBVIOUSLY lying, but her mother was still telling her to respect her.
Professor McGonagall explained, patiently about how Hermione was a witch and it was important for her to come to Hogwarts. But they still weren't buying it.
"I was sure you wouldn't believe me", McGonagall sighed "Which was why I came myself, after sending the owl. Well then, look".
She whipped her wand and cast the spell, "Wingardium Leviosa", and sent Mr. Granger's glasses flying into the air.
They watched in disbelief. Professor McGonagall sent the glasses back to the table.
"Believe me now?", she asked, "Or shall I show you another trick?".
(Some days later)
It was weeks after McGonagall's arrival, 31st August to be exact. She had left the same day, leaving the Grangers stunned. It was noon and just one night until Hermione was to leave for Hogwarts. She's gotten her wand and books, and had finished most of them already.
"They're so fascinating, Mum", she said, "I still can't believe it".
"Well, neither can we, dear.", said her mum, while cutting the tomatoes.
"Oh, you don't know how excited I am!" Hermione squealed.
Her parents were obviously not as excited, but Hermione assured them that she would sent an owl as soon as she could, after the sorting and dinner of course.
Hermione's dad asked her if she had packed everything she needed. He was not very happy about all of this but knew it was better for a good future for Hermione.
Hermione was telling them about her books, the subjects and her favourite ones. She told them about the other she'd bought too, about the wizarding world. She told them about the four founders and houses. She told them about a famous boy named "Harry Potter", who'd defeated a Dark Lord, Voldemort just when he was an infant. Her parents weren't so happy about the Dark Lord, but still listened to her with interest. She felt like all of her dreams were going to come true, just like in the books she read. She was about to learn magic and become a sorceress.
Just then, there was a knock. Not at the door, but the window.
