FELLOW HOHOHOES🤶🏽
THE NEW YEAR IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER AND I AM NOT READY.(;'༎ຶٹ༎ຶ')
If you were ever wondering, yes I always forget that JV (Jasper & Verona) aren't actually real people.
But how can I tell that to my soul.😖
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
"Don't." My voice cold, but my body feels wobbly. I step one foot back to stabilize myself.
"Don't what?"
He questions, motioning towards me slowly.
"Stop acting like I'm the only one with all the secrets."
I shout, right as something wet lands on my cheek. When I look towards the sky, the clouds have gone completely dark, their tears falling down.
"You're not. I have my fair share." He shrugs, tilting his head slightly to his left.
"But mine don't make me stubborn, when I clearly have no place to live."
He says bluntly, getting closer.
"Fine. I'll move in with you. But I have a condition." He stops close enough for me to see every detail of his face. From his damp lashes, to those darkened green eyes of his. His warm breath puffing against the frigid air. What really got my attention was the small scar that disappeared behind his neck and began at the bottom of the right side of his face.
I've seen the way he fights, swift yet powerful. What could have possibly gotten him bad enough to leave a scar?
"Of course." He smiles, a full grin splitting his mouth before he turns his head upwards towards the downpour of rain.
I don't think I have ever seen someone so happy. With his head turned up I know he couldn't see mine, but that smile was so infectious it contaminated me. For one moment in my life, I forgot about everything and just focused on this new feeling.
I think that was the first time I felt like I truly made a friend.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
"We've been over this." I shout, sitting up on the couch. "Mint chocolate chip should be illegal. It is absolutely abhorrent, and nothing more." My grin widening as a I see his mouth form the saddest frown.
"You take that back!" He yells, taking me by surprise and launching onto me.
We fall off the couch, with me landing on top.
"Mint chocolate chip is the world way greatest achievement. Right alongside you, of course."
My eyes roll.
He looks up at me, his eyes swirling with some it hung I can't place. They're darker, and yet much more intense.
His hand reaches out for mine, hovering directly in front of it.
He stares at both of our hands for a while, looking sad almost. Like all he wants to do is grab my hand but instead it continues to just hover.
Our eyes meet, and everything else moves out of focus.
The ground beneath him and the ceiling above me, no longer there. Just the two of us.
The big screen blares, as the latest news pops on. Breaking whatever it was between us. Just like that, the world snaps back into focus.
We both turn towards the holo screen.
"BREAKING NEWS. The situation at the capitol have gotten worse it seems. With more and more people attacking nobles, tension is rising. We have yet to hear from our que-" the screen goes black.
Right by Jasper's hand, the tiny glass remote lays on the floor.
"They probably didn't eat their fill of ice cream today." He grins.
We break out into a fit of laughter, and I topple onto the floor beside him.
When the laughter dies down I face the blank holo screen remembering what was said.
"What do you think is going to happen?" I ask quietly.
"I have no idea, but I do know that no matter what happens I am going to be by your side." He states.
"Jasper, be serious we don't even know each other. You do realize you asked a complete stranger to stay at your place? I mean we met two weeks ago." I groan, turning on my side again.
"Okay, you got a point there. What do you want to know then?" He asks lightheartedly.
A smile starts to pull at my mouth, as I think of a good question.
"Favorite movies series, color, and animal."
"Marbel, brown, and cats. Now you." He grins.
"Marbel, green, and dogs. Huh, I didn't peg you as a Marbel fan." I squint.
"Me neither. But you know what that means! Movie night." He jumps up, and runs into the hallway disappearing into one of the rooms.
"Please don't tell me you have a shrine, for all things Marbel in there." I yell across the living room, sitting up.
"Oh, I'll never tell you that." He shouts back.
He zooms back just as I plant myself on the couch.
He holds up a holo card with a red robot on the cover.
"Behold, the beginning of all beginnings. Dundundumdun."
I absolutely lose it at the sound effects he makes, raising the card like his life depends on it.
Tapping the card to the screen, it lights back up displaying the loading sign.
"Alright, while that's loading let's get some snacks. First pick." He nudges at me.
"I will have, you know those bars? The ones that are golden and have sweet cream on the inside?" I describe, my mouth already watering.
"Yeah, no. I don't have anything but popcorn." He half smiles, scratching his head.
I shrug, "Popcorn it is then."
He disappears again, this time into the kitchen on the right.
The lights go off as the screen gets lighter, and stops loading.
The catchy theme starts to play as Jasper comes charging bowl first at the couch.
Landing right beside me, he puts the bowl between us settling it into the middle of the couch.
"You're such a dork" I mutter to myself with a full smile hidden in the dark.
❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥❥
A tingling sensation on my nose woke me up, a light breath in slow patterns and scratches in my middle.
"hm?" I blink slowly, light pouring in from the windows. In front of me lies a tiny ball of black fur, its green eyes staring at me with its head tilted to its side. It reminded me so much of Jasper in that moment, I almost feel off the couch. Speaking of, I looked around and couldn't find him around anywhere.
I looked back to see the same pair of sparkling chartreuse eyes still staring at me.
"You're an absolute cutie, huh. I bet you know it too." The cat's eyes squint, meowing and pawing my stomach. It pushes its rear in the end and hops off me. "Already tired of me? I don't blame you, I'm pretty boring."
The cat proceeds to walk past the couch and into the hallway, going around the corner into what I guess is Jasper's room.
As soon as I sit up, a throw blanket falls off of me. I push off the couch, now curious to follow the tiny creature.
The room was completely blank, with nothing but a small desk in the corner and bed on its opposite side. The cat stretches it's hind legs on the desk, purring as it bunches itself up into a ball.
Peering at me from across the room, it lazily paws at something near him on the surface.
"You're a real nosy cat." I shrug with a sly grin. "I guess I can't help that I am too."
When I walk over to the desk, a bright glint momentarily blinds me. Sunlight from the window bounced off, a shiny coin near the cats paw.
The coin, although small in size had a very large insignia stamped on both sides. The symbol wasn't familiar in the least, but had an aura of significance.
I grabbed my holo screen out of my pocket and scanned the image. The scan wasn't successful, not finding any information on the symbol itself. I took the scan imaged and printed onto my left arm beneath the sleeve of my shirt as to remind me in the future to find out more.
There was loud shuffling by the front door, the handle turning slightly as someone prepared to enter.
I zoomed back into the living room, and plopped myself on the couch. Shutting my eyes and throwing the blanket back on top to make it seem as if I never left this spot. The cat miraculously appearing on top of my chest, sitting up and facing towards the door.
Jasper shuffled in, heading straight for the kitchen. By the sound of it, carrying a lot in hand. After setting the stuff down, walked back into the living room, standing near the couch.
"Fast asleep, huh? Well in that case, I'm sure you wouldn't want the ice cream I just sat down on the counter?" He says into the air.
I pop one eye open in answer, his face lighting up at my immediate response.
"Caramel cookie crunch?" I ask with a full grin.
"Hmm, I don't remember is that the one that come with-"
"Marshmallows!" I shriek excitedly. Jumping up from the couch and dashing to the kitchen.
"So, I see that Severus has taken a serious liking to you." He follows, leaning against the wall as he watches me aggressively dig into the pint of ice cream.
"Fwhvo?" I ask, with a mouthful of caramel cookie crunch.
He laughs, his demeanor lighter and eyes almost sparkling.
"My cat. Severus."
At the sound of his name, Severus leaped on the counter. His tail swishing as he steps between the bags of food.
"Are you going to try to cook?" I point towards the bags of ingredients.
"I'm not just going to try, Aria. I'm going to do." An annoyingly seductive smirk laid out on his lips.
