"System?. Could you please give me a status check?"
[Yes, I can]
The system cold voice helped him realize that this was no longer a dream. He was now a orc variant, for until god knows how long. And if he died, it's definitely possible that there is no other possible chance of saving his life and just getting reborn. So he has to stay alive for as long as he can, hoping that he can peacefully go back to his world and live out a peaceful life,
While he contemplated about his goals and plan of action, a familiar light blue screen appeared before him, ending with him fawning as he marveled at the huge growth in his stats.
"No fucking way..."
Name: Adam
Race: Kijin
Bloodline: Orc variant
Current Form: (6 year old) Child. Aged 12 days, grown in the last artificial amniotic sac of nutrients provided by the Orc god
Rank: - Rank 1 (peak); pseudo rank 2
Stats: -
Strength :45
Defense : 47
Mana : 434
Current skills : Magic hardening; imposter; Bloodthirst 3/4; Aura handler (Increased talent in the mastery of mana and aura.)
Adam also noticed that magic hardening and imposter were both 2 skills he hadn't had a clue about. "System, can you explain the skills magic hardening and imposter?"
[Magic hardening is as it's name suggests, a skill that is provided to the Guardian. Made to protect the albino orc, the reincarnated of Gruumsh, the one eyed orc god. It improves magic resistance by 35%, the percentage increasing by 15 per difference in rank from higher to lower ranks both.]
"Then can you please explain imposter?" Adam asks patiently.
[The host has increased chance in infiltrating mission and sneak attacking enemies. The difference in rank doesn't matter to kill someone as long as they are not suspicious of the host and drop any defenses whatsoever, and as the host ranks up, more lee away is given regarding the host's freedom of usage. The host may also set up 'safe points' to travel through and teleport anywhere, current range is only 10m, and the travel is instantaneous]
"The fuck, that's insane. How in gods name is there suck a cracked skill?. And aren't I supposed to be evolved into a rank 3 nobody? How am I suddenly a guardian?, especially the guardian of a jacked white orc that tried to kill him?."
[The host has been granted this blessing from the Albino orc, who decided to make you his guardian after seeing the difference in your strength. The orc god's avatar has received wisdom from Gruumsh, and knows how to accurately judge potential and power, and found the hosts to be inaccessible, showing that your potential is higher than what is supposed to be given to a regular being, and knows about your destiny to become great.] The system responded to his doubt.
"Then what about imposter?. How did I get that skill?"
[The skill is a mutated skill. Originally 2 different skills known as sneak and disguise, that were inherited from the host's parents, the skills fused under the blessing of you know who, who now is keeping an eye on you]
"Damn. Little bro do be saving my butt." Adam couldn't help but smile after seeing his skills. He is going to take care of this baby very well. The Kijin got up and slowly observed his new surroundings. His body was no longer sore, as he walked around looking for a weapon.
He searched his immediate surroundings for a weapon of any kind and soon found a rusted iron sword, before he made his way to his way to the worn wooden door on the far side of the room. Although useless, it provided him with the false confidence and a false sense of safety.
The door groaned loudly as it gave way to his teeny-tiny hand. The rough wood matched the ambiance across the room, having seemingly not received care for several years. He had entered the long hallway that stretched into the darkness from his far left to his far right. It appears to have been decorated similarly to the room he had just left, with lit torches sporadically placed in metal sconce. The flames on the torches seemed to be ready to die out at any moment, but burnt and flickered like a normal flame, not burning out regardless of it's exhausted
Choosing to turn to his left, he crept along the side of the wall while actively sprinting along the dirt and rock floor, keeping a low profile as he followed the humongous corridor.
The long, dim passage soon ascended into an opening. The creature carefully searched the dimly lit room from the entrance of the corridor. Adam's beady eyes darted left and right, before finally settling upon a shifting shadow in the middle of the room. The light from the flames revealed a dull, off-white complexion clad in leather armor. The dull shine of iron came from the mysterious creature's hand.
"Isn't this a rank 3-skeleton?" Adam cursed his fate. He could've used the imposter skill before, but now that it noticed him, he can't do a shit about the skeleton.
Out in the real world, an orc with weird unreadable marking stared into the mind of the child. It was the man with the leather robe and Black cape, the one with the huge bone necklace with a bunch of orc tusks on it. It simply spoke to itself and said "Let's see what the legendary Guardian will do with a monster ranked higher than him. Can he really kill monsters ranked higher than him as said in the myths and legends?"
The ugly orc couldn't help but smirk. If the child dies through brain death, a new experiment is waiting for him. Just thinking about it, he couldn't help but lick his lips and feel wet. It;s time for another trial.
So status update, my fever finally reduced to 102.4, so I might hang on longer. I hope you have a good day and see you in the next chapter, ciao.
