"Eheheh…" The hobgoblin chortled while watching the battered adam and the crying orc townsman.
The beast began to walk over to the now unconscious Adam. It seems as if the hobgoblin plans to finish him off then and there.
Without thinking, Toskr began to run towards the enemy.
'Why did I run towards him? Is it because of me trying to act kind?, Or perhaps it was because I couldn't stand to watch what would happen to my disciple. It is probably the same part of me that pushed me into accepting him as a disciple in the first place. Maybe it's because I had instinctually judged this as my only option to follow. Or maybe it's because he is a child and can change the orc's life forever' Toskr had a million such thoughts race in his head.
"Raaah!" Toskr shouted as he swung his cane down at the hobgoblin.
However, Toskr received a taste of his own medicine as the hobgoblin deftly sidestepped my swing. He could feel reality moving in slow motion as I descended towards my failed attack.
Without saying a word, the hobgoblin raised its knee upwards to kick his chest . Toskr could feel the inversion of gravity apply on his body as his body was raised off of the ground. The air in his lungs was forcibly pushed out by the sudden attack. Toskr didn't even have the time to sputter out blood in pain, as the hobgoblin dropped on its knee as quickly as it had raised it and brought down its arms and slammed onto the ground.
'Pain. Everything in my body hurts. The only reason I am not dead yet is probably thanks to the shock absorption of the leather cuirass. Despite this, breathing is still hard to do. I can barely feel my arms or legs. I think I've finally started to cough up blood. Does that mean I have internal organ damage? That's not good…' Toskr thought before witnessing Adam standing up, his(Adam's) knees shivering and trembling as he held himself up the best he could.
The Hobgoblin jeered at the week display of strength and slammed towards the guardian. Adam just smiled and whispered " ...imposter".
Immediately after using his curse, the hobgoblin stopped moving. He could no longer see Adam. He twisted and turned in confusion, wrestling the ground and bashing his club in every visible location.
Meanwhile, our protagonist escaped underground, moving fluidly like the earth was water. The earth liquified as he paved his way towards the Hobgoblin. Suddenly a figure popped out of the ground as the goblin witnessed the same child as before, but with a monstrously large tongue with-holding a knife at the end.
"Goodbye." Adam spoke before stabbing the Hobgoblin from behind it's back.
