Sparring with Class 1-A broke down into three levels of difficulty.
Level one, was the easiest people to take down: Ochaco, Jiro, Aoyama, Kaminari, Koda, Sero, Toru and Mineta. These eight students did not excel in hand-to-hand, they held better odds at support than combat.
The second level was modularly hard, you had to put in effort with: Mina, Asui, Ida, Ojiro, Sato, Shoji, Tokoyami, and Momo. You believed with more training, these eight would grow to become fine heroes.
The third and final level were the strongest students in Class 1-A, they rivaled your own strength and speed: Kirishima, Shoto, Midoriya and Bakugo. These four made you work for it.
Kirishima was the first to jump at fighting you. Before he did, he steadied himself before getting in the ring with you. He repeated his words he spoke to Bakugo; you were a trained killer. He had to place his emotions aside and come at you with everything he got. Kirishima's fighting style was that of a bulldozer, he was good but needed to work on his speed which was what gave you an advantage over him.
The fight with Shoto made it clear to him that he felt a connection to you. Ever since the fight with Stain, where you placed him as your equal and trusted him to have your back, he felt attached. You two held a similar past; forced to fight at such a young age. He wouldn't lose to Midoriya or Kirishima when it came to you. Shoto got inside his new emotions and became distracted, allowing you to take him down.
The fight between Midoriya and you were similar to Shoto, you couldn't understand why he was so inside his head. Every move he made was calculated and he held back when striking you, which led to his defeat.
You turned, feeling yourself panting as the last and final fight was walking towards you. Fucking Katsuki Bakugo, you felt your arm cringed recalling the melting pain his quirk unreleased.
"Remember no quirks this time." You gravely mocked.
"I know." He responded; his voice tightly wound. Aizawa called out to start, for a moment Bakugo waited, which was odd. You expected him to be like Kirishima and bulldoze his way through you, but he hesitated but only for a handful of seconds.
The two of you each got hits in, Bakugo slammed his leg against your back sending you to the ground. Aizawa was beginning to wonder if you were getting sloppy due to you being overly excursed. Perhaps they shouldn't have done both classes in the same day.
You rolled out of the way of Bakugo's crushing boot. Quickly drawing your leg, you were able to kick Bakugo backwards getting some distance. You jumped back to your feet in time you duck out of the way of Bakugo's rapid strikes.
You watched as his fist went flying past your face, in that slowed moment you got a swift of a familiar scent, sweet caramel and melted sugar. You looked to Bakugo and smirked after landing a hit that skitter him backwards.
"What's that look for!?" He grunted, shooting daggers in your face.
"Nothing." You shrugged. "Just didn't think you were the fragrance type."
"Hah!?" Bakugo twisted his face, "What the hell does that mean!?"
"You smell like a cookie."
"That's my sweat dumbass!" Bakugo snapped, "My quirk makes me smell like a freaking piece of candy!"
"Ha!" You laughed.
"Why the hell are you laughing!?" Bakugo pointed, "Have you smelled yourself lately!? You fucking reek!" You frowned; his word cut through you so effortlessly, all of a sudden you felt self-conscious.
"Yeah-" You acknowledged, "-you go thirty something rounds with a bunch of kids and let's see how you smell!?"
"I-"
"Oh right-" You lifted your head, "-shocker, another thing pretty boy here doesn't have to worry about, human B.O. cuz' you have a built-in air freshener up your ass!"
"You're lucky we can't use our quirks!" Bakugo growled, "I would blow your ass up right now!"
"Yeah, I know-" You sang, "-you love to blow 'em don't ya!?"
"That-That is not what I said!" Bakugo pointed at you.
"No?" You acted surprised, "I'm pretty sure that's what I heard."
"Come here!" Bakugo allowed his anger to get the best of him, letting his movements become sloppy, allowing you to swoop in and pin him on his stomach holding one arm and one leg so he couldn't get back up.
"You know-" You leaned down in his ear, "-maybe if you pulled that stick outta your ass, you could fight better."
"What did you say!?" Bakugo growled, fighting to get free but you kept him down just long enough for Aizawa to call the match.
Aizawa made each student speak with you about ways they can improve in their technique before you all were allowed to sit on the floor for his announcement. You basically collapsed, feeling the layer of sweat coating your skin as you leaned back on your two hands.
"We are at the end of the semester." Aizawa lazily explained, "It's time for summer vacation, but don't think you will be getting a lot of rest during the break. Monday morning you all will be on your way to camp, where you will all be pushed beyond your limits."
What camp was he talking about?
You struggled to recall agreeing to attend any form of camp during the summer break.
"Remember, you all are aiming to become plus ultra. Your excused for the day, go get some rest and be ready for Monday."
"Yes sir!" The class nodded, you watched with a confused face as your class visibly became excited as Aizawa turned to leave the gym before everyone got too loud. Once he was out the door the class exploded in excitement!
You should have left with Aizawa.
"I have been looking forward to this camp all semester!" Ochaco bounced over.
"Yeah!" Midoriya agreed, "It's so close!"
Mina, Kaminari and others were bursting with joy while you remained sitting on the gym floor confused but too tired to care.
"(y/n)-!" Mina came over, "-what are you doing after school!?"
"Ah..." You thought, "...sleeping." You answered lifting your stiff body, you could feel the day's activity starting to set in.
"What!?" Mina gasped, "Come on! You have to hang out with me!"
"Why?"
"Because we are friends and that is what friends do!" Mina grinned.
"But I'm tired." You whined.
"You're always tired." Mina responded tugging on your arm. "Let's go change and go do something!"
"How about tomorrow?" You countered.
"No!" Mina cried, "My parents are making me spend the weekend with them since we are going to be gone at camp!"
"Why is that my problem?" You wondered out loud.
"What are we talking about?" Kirishima questioned walking besides Midoriya and Shoto.
"(y/n) won't hang out!" Mina turned to them, dramatically forming tears in her eyes as she tried to list their aid in recruiting you.
"Aw-" Kirishima gently smiled, "-why not?"
"Because I wish to die." You replied glaring at the growing group of people bothering you.
"How about-" Midoriya offered, "-we all change and go get something to eat. Then go from there?"
"That's a great idea!" Mina praised, "What do you say (y/n)? Hm, food?"
"Hm..." You sighed, "...fine."
While inside the locker room changing you slipped into a quick shower, washing away the grime from the day. You really just wanted to go home, change and crash for three days and maybe figure out what this camp was.
"Are you ready yet!?" Mina called for the third time, eager to get out of school.
"I'm coming." You responded, walking into sight wearing street clothes.
"I am so happy we brought a change of clothing!" Mina praised herself for her excellence.
"I feel tricked." You replied, not knowing this was the reason she made you bring a change of clothing.
"You really wanna go out in your school uniform!?" Mina playfully gasped.
"I'd rather be in pajamas." You muttered to yourself.
"But food." Mina gestured to in front of her as you walked out of school, meeting up with everyone else at the gates.
"Yeah." You breathed, the bag on your arm feeling like it was being weight down with bricks. You fought back a yawn as you joined the group, they laughed happy to be out of school and just relax.
"There is this new burger place not far from here that I have been dying to try out." Jiro threw her idea into the ring of where to go to eat.
"Perfect!" Midoriya smiled, "Let's go there!"
"We-We don't have too." Jiro blushed.
"But you want to try it so bad." Ochaco touched Jiro's shoulder, "What could be more fun than all of us going together?"
"Hey-!" You all turned, "-wait for us!" Kirishima waved, dragging an unhappy looking Bakugo behind him.
"Huh?" Kaminari blinked, "You guys are coming?"
"Yeah!" Kirishima brightly grinned, "Sorry, it took us a while to change!"
"That's ok." Sero laughed, "Come on, we figured out a place to eat."
"Sweet I am starved!" Kirishima looked to you, "Hey." He nodded.
"Hey." You blankly replied not thrilled Bakugo was tagging along. If you had known this you would have slipped away from Mina and gone home.
"So-" Kirishima said after a few blocks. "-you're fighting style is insane!"
"Is it?" You weren't interested in conversation, your mood spoiled by the blond-haired boy walking behind you.
"Yeah!" Kaminari joined in, "I could barely touch you!"
"How did you get so good at fighting?"
You shrugged as your response.
"Oh, come on-!" Kirishima wrapped an arm around you, Bakugo instantly snapped his eyes to Kirishima's arm, he felt the urge to rip the arm clean out of its socket. "-you can tell us anything!"
"I'd rather not." You mumbled.
"Don't be shy!" Kaminari teased.
"I'm not shy." You grumped, after a second of feeling eyes staining your skin you groaned. "I have had a lot of experience." You decided to say.
"What!?" Kaminari laughed, "That's it? Come on!"
"I'd rather not-" You repeated.
"Come on!" Kaminari pushed.
"Hey-" Mina butted in, reading your face, "-if she doesn't-"
"I don't know-" You breathed feeling a tight ball wrapping around your intestines. "-did you forget where I came from?"
"Well...no..."
"I was forced-" Your voice bitter as you glared into Kaminari's eyes. "-to fight, every day. If I lost then I was punished, and that wasn't a fun time."
"What was the-" Kaminari stupidly went to ask, but Bakugo smacked him in the back of his head. "-Ow! Hey-"
"Shut up." Bakugo ordered, "Clearly she doesn't want to talk about it."
"But-"
"Dumbass!" Bakugo lectured, "Just look at her face, she doesn't want to talk about it so drop it Dunce Face."
"I told you to stop calling me that!" Kaminari whined. You watched Bakugo from the corner of your eye, that wasn't like him to stand up for you or anyone really.
