Katsuki Bakugo walked through the empty hallways, a fresh cup of hot coffee rested in his hand as his head throbbed and his muscles ached from sitting for so long. He exhaled, rubbing his temple as he rounded the corner headed back to Recovery Girl's office where you still laid annoyingly unmoving.
Bakugo stopped, seeing Mina, Shoto and Midoriya all hovered around the cracked open door.
"What are you idiots doing?" Bakugo demanded to know, Mina placed a finger to her lips. "Don't shush me-!" He was cut off by your voice cutting through him like a knife.
"I'm fine." You waved your hand, shooing off Aizawa and All Might.
"On behalf of this school (y/n)-" Mr. Principle said, "-I am so very sorry you were attacked."
"I don't personally care-" You replied, "-but how are the others doing?"
"Miss. Ashido and Miss. Tsuyu walked away without so much as a scratch thanks to you." Mr. Principle answered.
"I am certain-" Recovery Girl walked over, "-if that was any other student besides you, they would have been killed by that hit."
"Now that's being a bit too dramatic." You chuckled.
"It's not." Recovery Girl took a seat beside Aizawa, "I don't know much about your quirks but I do know whatever lightening ability you hold is what saved your life and your classmates."
"I know." You nodded,
"You know?" Aizawa grunted, after a moment of studying your face, he sighed. "You knew what was coming, didn't you?"
"I felt it." You answered.
"You felt it?" All Might was confused.
"Yeah, I knew that student was about to use his quirk, I could feel it in the air."
"You knew you wouldn't be able to absorb the complete attack?" All Might questioned.
"Yep." You smirked at All Might's dramatic face.
"Why the hell did you jump in the way then!?" All Might demanded to know, "You were almost killed!"
"You know-" Mr. Principle spoke over the ranting teacher. "-no one has caught me up on your progress. Do you mind going over exactly what your quirks are?"
Shoto, Midoriya, Mina and Bakugo all glanced at each other, they leaned in closer.
"Well-" You started; "-my wind quirk is the easiest for me to use. You have seen my ice and fire."
"Yes." Mr. Principle nodded.
"Uh, water is the hardest-"
"I'm sorry you said water?"
"Yeah."
"You can control states of water not just your ice?"
"Yes." You nod, "But water is...hard, when I try to use the liquid state it's like trying to hold it in my hands and keep it from slipping between my fingers, its...I don't freaking know, it's water...its difficult!"
"You and Shoto Todoroki hold similar quirks-" Mr. Principle muttered more to himself, "-but you can control the temperature of your flames where he cannot. When he wants to melt his ice, he has to use his fire side. Do you have to melt-"
"Uh no." You answered, "I can just evaporate it."
"Interesting...anything else?" Mr. Principle was curious.
"Um...earth is another hard one."
"Earth?"
"She used it in the Sports Festival." Aizawa added detail,
"Right!" Mr. Principle recalled. "Why is that one difficult?"
"Earth is dense, hard to move around."
"And lightening?" Aizawa finished.
"Yep."
"That quirk-" All Might stepped in, "-that's an interesting one."
"It is?" Recovery Girl questioned.
"We have three lightening quirks at this school, none of them can absorb lightening like she can."
"(y/n)-" Recovery girl leaned forward, "-when you were absorbing the lightening, why didn't you shoot it at the student attacking? Why allow it to hurt you? And what would have happened if Kaminari hadn't expelled the extra lightening lingering inside your body?"
"That's a lot." You joked.
"I know-I know." She waved, "Answer anyway."
"Well-" You scratched your head, "-I didn't want to run the risk of striking Mina or Asui, that's why I didn't strike back."
"But why?" Recovery Girl wondered, "Inside the Sport's Festival you had perfect aim-"
"Actually-" You pointed out, "-I didn't."
"Huh?"
"I surrounded Shoto with ice, if I missed him then the lightening would have bounced off and hit him anyway."
"I didn't notice that." Mr. Principle noted.
"I can't control large portions of lightening." You went on, "Only small streams."
"That-That doesn't make sense!"
"It does-" You replied, "-when you know that my body doesn't create lightening."
"What!?" The teachers all stood.
"Yep."
"Ho-How is that even possible!?"
"well I can generate it, but it takes time and a lot of energy to do so. My range isn't anywhere close to what Kaminari can create."
"We watched you in the sports festival-!"
"Yes." You laughed, "But I was also hit with Kaminari's lightening in the second round-"
"You absorbed it." Recovery Girl gasped, realizing.
"Yeah, I stored it and then used it later. I can do that, but I can't eat it like Kaminari can either."
"Why is this quirk so under trained?" Aizawa wondered.
"Well-" You sighed, "-like you know, Shadow Jack was just basically throwing quirks at me and whatever stick, stuck. I got all the element based one due to my wind quirk I was born with-"
Your classmates standing outside the office all turned to each other, confusion clear on their faces.
"-they discovered a person has to remain inside their wheel house. I couldn't contain quirks like Shiro had no matter how much they tried. The issue is, element-based quirks are common so I wasn't the only one."
"The other kids with you."
"Yeah uh, there were three others with lightening who could use it more advanced than I could. I guess Shadow Jack didn't need spares...so he moved me to wind and ice, ignoring earth and lightening. He thought those would be more useful to him."
"You're amazing." Recovery Girl breathed causing you to laugh.
"I'm really not." You brushed off.
"Well-" Recovery Girl stood; "-my quirk is useless to you right now. Your body is already healing itself nicely. I am worried if I try to use my quirk on you, it'll put you into over drive and we don't want that now do we?"
"No." You shook your head.
"Is she good to go?" Aizawa wondered.
"Yes." Recovery Girl nodded, "Whenever she is ready-"
"I'm ready now." You cut in sitting up.
"Hold on." All Might said, using your shoulder to push you back in bed. "Why don't you rest for another hour, then you can leave?"
"I really don't want too."
"But you need it." Aizawa added.
"Fine." You sighed, "Can they come in?" You asked, causing your classmates to flinch.
"I don't see why not." Recovery Girl answered, turning to the door. "Are you going to stay out their all-day wall flowers?"
The door slowly opened, revealing the four students looking busted.
"H-Hey!" Midoriya blushed.
"(y/n)!" Mina dashed over, wrapping her arms around you. "Are you insane!?" She began to lecture. "You could have gotten yourself killed!"
"But I didn't." You smirked.
"But you could have!"
"But I didn't."
"But you could have."
"I can promise you're not going to win here." All Might muttered knowing from experience.
"That reminds me-" Recovery Girl turned, "-(y/n) you didn't answer my question."
"There was so many-" You muttered, earning an annoyed glare. "-ah which one?" You smiled,
"What would have happened if Kaminari wasn't there to take some of the lightening from you?"
"Oh that-" You nodded, "-well two things could have happened."
"Oh?"
"I could have slowly dissolved it or...it would have overloaded my heart and I die."
"You did die!" Midoriya moved to All Might's side. "Your heart stopped!"
"Hm..." You nodded, "...that sucks."
"(y/n)-!" Mina lectured; "-you have to take better care of yourself!"
"Why?" You wondered, earning a light smack to your arm.
"Stop it!" Mina said before looking to Recovery Girl, "She is really gonna be ok?"
"With a few hours of rest, I don't see why not." The teacher shrugged.
"But her heart stopped." Shoto pointed out.
"You act like this is the first time." You muttered; this was a common occurrence when you were a kid.
"What did you say!?" All Might sharply turned.
"Ah...nothing." You faked a grin.
Bakugo stood off to the back, leaning against the wall watching you from the corner of his eye. He had no idea what to say or do. You had to of hated him after everything that happened between the two of you.
Bakugo looked away, questioning why he stayed. He wanted to slip out the open door but his legs wouldn't move. Recovery Girl walked off to her office, glancing back at Bakugo who oddly allowed himself to be pushed into the back of group.
