Kaiden and everyone knew that they were in trouble. There were still about one hundred Level 1 and 2 grounded bears, and now the weaker Level 3 ones were joining the battle.
"Teece?"
Teece shook his head when Kaiden said his name, showing he had no plan for fighting nor escaping.
Kaiden gritted his teeth and cursed internally as he thought of something. Then a form enlightenment, that comes from you your life being on the line, entered his mind and forced him to use his Mystic Sea at an accelerated rate!
"Everyone! Defend me for some time! I have a plan!"
Kaiden's words did not give the soldiers a shread of hope, he wasn't even a Mage after all. The only one who had some form hope, was Teece, who decided followed his order and commanded everyone to follow it as well.
Not one of them wanted to give their hopes up, but they listened to Teece and started to defend Kaiden.
Kaiden took many Enchanted Plants and Mythical Beasts out from his dimensional ring and started to drain his Mage Mind's Mystic Sea at a more extreme speed to create Runes.
Unfortunately, it increased the aggression of the grounded bears.
"Kaiden!"
"I know!"
Kaiden didn't think it would make the bears more aggressive, but he was prepared to work faster anyway.
He started going faster and faster at the slightest of cracks he threw it toward a group of bears, leading to an explosion, and it would help with killing them just by a little.
"Is your plan explosions?!"
Unfortunately for Teece, Kaiden was too concentrated on crafting his runes.
'Damm it! He said he checked! I should have done my own research for this knowing that dumbass!'
Teece was having his regrets for taking his mission.
As the battle was going on, more and more injuries were accumulating on the soldiers. They were struggling even after killing more than fifty bears by now.
It seemed to wear on all of their minds. This finally broke one of the men, and he started to run away!
"Where are you going! Don't leave the group!"
Teece screamed, but it seemed to have no effect.
Then suddenly, before he got past Kaiden, He was pierced through the chest! A breach had happened!
Fear and despair could be seen all on his face.
"He... Help...."
Before he could finish his sentence, the man was ripped apart and pieces of him scattered through the group, leading to more breaches.
"God damn it! Hold them!"
Teece screamed as he thought his death neared. He jumped to Kaiden and slayed the bears near him with his spear.
"Kaiden! Hurry please!"
Teece saw their deaths near as he relied on the so-called "prodigy" to work on an escape.
More and more of the men died trying to protect Kaiden. They were slowly losing any, and all hope to escape this situation. Teece was even getting slower and running out of Elemental Air.
Teece was about to give up this 'unbeatable' situation as the Level 3 bears were now the ones fighting, but as he was ready to lay down his spear, Kaiden was next to him and placed three runes on him.
Shock filled Teece's face as he noticed they were Level 1 at the Peak teir! He didn't have much time to react since they were still under attack from many grounded bears and the weaker Level 3 grounded bears.
Yet when he used his fire, it changed to a hotter flame that even burnt him! He had to shoot it fast and saw how it didn't even use that much Elemental Air for his Elemental Organ for such a powerful attack!
Teece smiled and had a worried look on his face, seeing the smile on the Prodigy's face.
'I can see why master Jocke is worried about being insignificant towards this one. He is a monster.. I would be scared of what he would have done in the future.'
Teece went on to kill every grounded bear around them, even killing the Level 3 ones with little to no effort!
Teece started to wonder if what Kaiden did was permanent and had a smile on his face at the thought of it.
"It's not, don't get excited. What you have right now is MY idea of the fire element."
"You are one scary kid if your idea of fire burns this hot. It hurt me, and I'm the caster."
"Not my fault your fire was like a candle and mine is a dragon's breath."
Teece stopped talking after that, some annoyance could be seen on his face too.
Kaiden watched Teece with cold eyes as they we fighting. The world appeared slow in his eyes as he watched his runes work.
'The runes were a great success, though his Organ will need rest and some good drugs after this all of this.'
Kaiden knew his runes the best, he was the creator of them after all, one was empowering the Elemental Organ to succeed in his version of fire, one was refilling his Elemental Organ at an uneven rate, and one was allowing Teece's Organ to not stress as much as it would be under the other two changes. The one refilling the Elemental Organ was the that would cause the most damage to the organ.
'I created that one in a pinch since I could not get it right completely. If I had more time I would have made them perfectly.'
Kaiden criticized himself and saw where he could improve. The fact that he created them in the first place only made him disappointed he did not make them sooner.
Many Runesmiths would yell at him for such things and be angered just by the fact he doesn't have Elemental Organ. He just saw it as a nuisance since he should be the best!
"You have about half an hour left for the runes. Wrap this up Teece."
Kaiden was in deep thought as he mentioned this to Teece and all of the soldiers were celebrating that they would live!
Teece had a smile on his face blasting the grounded bears with his flames. His hands were burning and had burn marks on them since he was struggling to not burn his skin completely off, but he was still able to use a good amount of power.
The grounded bear numbers started dwindling lower and lower as his flames burnt them to ash. They went from nearly two hundred eighty to thirty in a matter of a few hours from the beginning of the fight to the complete slaughter that was happening now.
Soon after their numbers dropped to twenty, the leader roared, signaling their retreat as they were running away. Teece killed the ones who were slower and decided to save his energy for any other surprises.
Kaiden saw Teece lose his smile and become serious as he looked around the place. Kaiden saw slight anger fill his face before going to his normal serious look.
"You better use the other runes before it's too late!"
A laugh resounded in Kaiden's head.
He didn't react and put his hands behind his back, using his space ring to summon two Peak Level 1 Runes!
He used them on himself as they faded into his skin his head tilted toward the ground. His eyes became dim, his hair became less golden, and his skin grew a little pale.
A gust of air seemed to happen near him as this happened. He then picked his head up and looked up towards Teece with a slight grin.
"Well, we survived thanks to my last second runes! you are welcome for the power boost. You should take it easy now, since once it is gone, you will have some harsh repercussions."
Kaiden had a smirk on his face as he looked Teece in the eyes. There seemed to be something Teece was thinking heavily on.
"Well, everyone, let's regroup and patch up any injur.."
Kaiden started talking to the remainder of the men before he felt a bloodlust sensation aimed at him!
He made his sword appear and turned around to block the danger, but a spear entered through his chest!
Many soldiers who were cheering and relaxing after the long and life threatening fight watched in horror as they froze not knowing what to do. Though, one of them in particular saw what was happening and tried to stand up with many of his injuries opened up. The soldier was a young one, but he kept trying to stand as he was loyal for the Gremmen family.
Kaiden's eyes blurred for a second before three cracked runes appeared around his assailant. He looked him right in his dead eyes and saw Teece, who carried no emotion.
The runes caused an explosion before Teece could react. Kaiden flew back due to the explosions as well, receiving heavier damage.
Kaiden couldn't breathe nor talk since now he was limited on his time left. He tried to stand, as he was trying, Teece appeared in front of him, stabbing down to finish the job. Unfortunately, Teece didn't expect Kaiden to sacrifice his left arm when dodging and was able to stab his sword directly into Teece's spear arm.
"Tch, Damn demon child!"
Those were the only words Teece could mutter before Kaiden's eyes focused and had a big smile on his face by trying to tear of Teece's arm by using the sword like a crowbar pulling a door open!
Of course, Teece fought many battles and used his flames, which caused even more damage to Kaiden, turning his skin black and blasting him away. However, Teece's left arm was completely ruined, and he had to use his right arm to finish the job. When he was getting closer, his Fire Elemental Organ started to have contractions and caused Teece to puke some blood and scream out in agony.
Teece had to kneel down, as he did the soldiers finally were able to react and surround Teece and some went to check on Kaiden.
"Teece, what in the hell do you think you're doing?"
"The Gremmen family will torture you and kill you! Worse if that kid is dead! Hell, we might be done in too because of your actions!"
The soldiers yelled and cursed at Teece as they didn't know what to do since everyone was exhausted.
"This was an order from Jocke Gremmen. He wanted me to get rid of his brother who seems to have been used by a demon!"
Teece yelled as he was trying his best to stand with his spear and kill Kaiden but the pain in his Organ and the wound on his left shoulder were too much for his tired body.
What Teece said seemed to make the soldiers question Kaiden and his skills. After all, who heard of a Organless kid making a Peak Tier rune?
Yet, a handful of the men stood their ground against the shameful excuse. The one from earlier stood out.
This soldier was bleeding heavily, but he was someone who would die for his loyalty and honor! He had blonde hair with a very particular strands of purple hair, some freckles with a small nose. Though, something that was noticeable was his purple eyes. This kid was from a family that was known to have excellent swordsmanship. The Shilk family!
Even though he was a bastard who was sold into the Gremmen family, he still had the skills to live up to his family name, 'Shilk'. A high noble family that was the swordsmen of the Royals and had three of their family members reach the divine rank and accend through only pure swordsmanship! Such a feat that was only capable as a beastman! The things that stood out were similar to many Large-sized nobles with incredible backgrounds, characteristics. The characteristics of the Shilk family were purple eyes and purple hair.
"What are you talking about? He saved us all and you dare have the right to call him a demonic servant! I shall report this to the Gremmen family and have to all executed for such slander!"
"Kid, he doesn't have an Elemental Organ. So how cou-"
The man couldn't speak as his throat was slashed, and blood splurged from his throat. The other soldiers could barely even see what happened!
"Sir Gremmen is a prodigy, and I pledged to serve this family and protect them even at the cost of my life on my family's honor. If you wish you kill him.."
The young man's eyes seemed to glow with a beautiful yet intimidating purple light.
"You will have to pry this sword from the dead hands of myself, Whetho Shilk!"
