Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Greatest Battle

While reminiscing on the past, he remembered one of his greatest battles while he neared the end of his prime. This battle happened with non-other than with one of his many children. One of the only ones that got all of their father's attributes.

This child's name was Rond. He, just like his father Jay, was extremely smart, strong, and more. Rond unlike his father never showed how he felt inside, He never had a reason to do so. He always wanted to fight the strong just like his father!

Rond had dirty blond hair, and just like his father had a clean shave and had green eyes. He wore a white T-shirt with no design, gray pants and gray boots. On top of the shirt was a grey, dense chest piece with arm gauntlets.

So he was known as a monster that was often compared to his father, only a weaker version of him. Rond, on that note, hated being compared to a man that never bothered to visit him. So he swore to prove he was better to his father and went on his own quest to prove it! He went out to do everything his father did, but better. He fought bears, lions, alligators, hell even rhinos!

He went after top "apex" predators. One of them being polar bears. He was able to kill twenty-two on his own, but was on the verge of death after many close calls. His father already killed forty-three in his prime, so it was all for null. This predicament kept happening until he decided while his father was still in his prime, although nearing the end of his prime, he was going to fight him. Rond being around his peak at twenty. His father nearing the end of his at forty-nine.

Rond went to confront his father and finally prove his strength! When he arrived in front of the "Great Crimson Army" he did not back down and marched through them. Seeing as he was the son of Jay, they dared not stop his march.

Arriving at the great castle like structure built for Jay, he stopped at the great doors and took a deep breath before pushing the doors open. As he went through the castle like structure, he found various arts and armors that Jay, one of his comrades, or his enemies had or used along with their weapons. He even saw a huge display with a title on it saying, "Phantom Suit." This being the first suit made by Jay!

While continuing forward and admiring the various, exotic displays in this structure Rond finally arrived at the main throne room door. This time Rond sat on the ground, took a lotus position and proceeded to meditate for a good couple of minutes. After feeling his calm stature, he proceeded forward opening the door toward the great Demon himself, Jay.

Jay, already waiting for his son to enter, had his signature vicious smile on his face. Rond had a tinge of fear crawl on his back when he saw it, however, he saw deep sorrow on his face as well. 'How can he be so sad? He has everything he could ever want! Fame, power, loyalty, women, and more. It doesn't make sense, plus he is Jay. Jay, The Unbeatable Demon after all, what does he have to be sad about?'

Rond couldn't help but wonder why Jay had sorrow on his face as well. Then, an idea popped in his head, 'Could it be that he hasn't found a great opponent to face against?' Rond thought for a while and decided that was most likely the case, 'Come on, I'm the spitting image of his attributes and thought process, yet I couldn't figure this out? Jeez, I have a lot to learn. that is,' he paused, 'if I can somehow win this fight.'

Although this was mostly true, the other answer was far from what anyone that has known Jay or fought against him.

'My son, I am truly glad that you are challenging what I have accomplished, but to come fight me? I did my absolute best to make an eden that is the pinnacle of what humans are. Hell, I've accomplished that already. Yet, I know it won't last in my passing. I know this is one of my best children I have, but I still won't allow myself to hand up the sins of the world to my own children.' Jay sighed internally when thinking that.

As Jay was thinking this his vicious smile flickered to a nasty look for a split second. Rond saw that and almost dropped to his knees, yet he stood his ground! He had to get this over with if he wanted to settle his own emotions and heart. So he spoke up after a longing silence that bothered neither of them, "Oh Great Father, I think it is about time for you to hang up your coat and live life, don't you?"

Jay knew what the meaning behind those words was being his father and watching his son for a long time. "Ah, my son, the spitting image of my greatest attributes. I have stayed here for many years, do you truly wish to take my Unbeatable title?" Though he knew, he did not address it.

With that said Jay's body was getting excited, for it hasn't seen battle in a long time. So as he said his words Jay started to grab his favorite sword, the Ikakalaka sword, nicknamed "The Blood Consumer" and some of his armor, just enough for a little defense. Before Jay did anything though, he looked at his most trust worthy general and friend. His face changed and had a gentle smile on it, along with his deep and overwhelming tone of voice went to a calmer and more gentle one. One that his son could not hear.

"Brendan, my dearesy ally, The Hopeful Demon. This child of mine is powerful and he's not even in his prime! There is a great chance that I may die here, so leave me to my battle and from here on out even if I am to survive you must go on your own adventures. You have missed many opportunities while you followed me. You are my greatest ally, as well as friend. So live your life and start one worthy of yourself."

The Hopeful Demon, surprised by his words tried to retort but to no avail. Jay stuck up one finger, "No, you have served me long enough. It is time for you to go on and live your own life. After all, you are a demon too!" After that was said, Brendan no longer tried and reluctantly left Jay's side and before he left gave one last glance toward him before leaving, never to be heard or seen in many years to come.

When he left Jay sighed internally and seemed to have a silent sorrow for a moment. After that his sorrow face turned into a vicious and battle loving look as he looked toward his son, "Well, I shouldn't keep you any longer, now should I!"

With those words said both of them raised up their arms ready for the most intense battle either has ever experienced. With that the cameras in the room turn on and watched the battle like they were programmed for, to let the world watch their champion and one of the champion's children fight.

With both opponents ready and the world watching to see if they are to receive new leadership or watch their all ruling leader continue to lead, the battle was ready to start.

'I hope this feeling of my death being Fate is not true, I'd hate to fall victim to Fate. Even if it means I must kill my son. Though I love him dear, I can not allow Fate nor the sins I have weigh him down. So prove to me son! Prove you have the strength and will power to climb to me and strike me down!' His vicious smile got wider as he thought off defying Fate once more and his son bearing him once and for all!
