Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 - New World

While all of those things were going on Jay only saw darkness. Jay felt cold and he felt warm, he was confused, as all his senses were in a jumble. He couldn't hear but thought that he could hear whispers. Jay had no idea how to feel, he couldn't feel for that matter, he was in a state of nothing and everything. The only sense that felt right was his sight, he knew everything was dark, and that not a single inch of light could be found.

Jay felt conflicted, but he eventually relaxed his mind, since he couldn't even think straight or at all for that matter. He eventually tried to do different things, such as, moving, talking, yelling, and thinking. To his dimay, nothing seemed to be working. It felt as if he was being reset and there was not a thing he could do to stop it. All he could do was remember everything from his past. He tried to smile at the memories, yet he felt nothing happen from his subconscious thought.

As time passed his internal smile vanished and he couldn't bear the thought of himself being reset, after all, he went through one thousand years just to keep himself from being reset!

'I can't concentrate on a single thought, this is frustrating!' Jay felt rage with that, as he could not hold on to any of his random thought that would appear, and although it would pass it would come back stronger.

'I have to be able to do at least something about this!' Jay's attempts were all in vain however, yet as hours passed he continued to try.

Eventually, Jay saw a flicker around him while attempting to do anything he was able to try. It was quick, he stopped for a second as if trying to react to it, before he continued and more flickers began accumulating as he did.

Jay started to laugh internally as he felt able to concentrate on his emotions and thoughts again, but they felt different than before. He didn't notice anything at first, but as time carried on he saw his thought process and feelings on everything change.

'I feel so different, I can't say I'm opposed to this change, I guess, yet I feel as though I would have disliked this. Strangely enough, I kind of feel like an old version of myself, before I aged and wanted to rest with a family.' Jay couldn't understand what was happening, but he eventually pushed the blame on himself for not stopping the resetting process sooner.

'Oh well, I am getting bored of being in this darkness, I want to see or at least fight in here!' Jay felt like he was acting like his childhood self yet he couldn't care less. 'I want to fight! I wonder if there is anything here to punch! Wait, can I even punch?'

Jay didn't feel anything when he tried balling his first and throwing a punch, hell, he didn't even feel resistance. Though, he noticed how weird it was to punch but before he could do anything about it a very warm and slightly heavy pressure felt like it landed on him.

'What the hell!' Jay was confused yet he also felt something weird with his thinking speed. 'How long has this pressure been here? I noticed it so long ago yet I just reacted? did my reaction speed lower?!' Jay felt annoyed at his worried thought.

Jay decided to run tests on himself and as he did, he notice he was slower in every aspect. his thinking speed, reaction time, and more.

'Is this what happens? This is pretty damn annoying if I had to be honest.' Jay was more annoyed but eventually left it at that and let himself drift off.

Jay felt more relaxed when not thinking or feeling anything after being in this darkness for who knows how long. Jay would have kept track if he had been able to think right, but unfortunately for him, he was not able to.

When Jay was completely relaxed he suddenly felt weirdly wet. He continued to ignore this yet he started to feel a warming feeling and eventually felt like he was moving.

'What is happening? Why is this happening? I feel strange about all of this.' Jay was trying his best to understand what was happening, at least, he was, before he suddenly felt like he was shot in a direction.

'I'm going to kill a mother fucker if this doesn't stop!' Jay started to get pissed before he eventually saw a slight crack of light and he was approaching it. It started to get bigger and bigger as he was approaching it involuntarily.

As he saw that he internally smiled at the change before his thoughts caught up and realized everything. 'I can't believe I finally understand where I was.' Jay felt a little disgusted for a strange reason and happy he was finally leaving that darkness behind.

When he reached the light he felt blinded and he couldn't help but slant his eyes, but he enjoyed the feeling of being able to see and finally to feel his surroundings!

'Yes! Finally, I can feel, wait I can smell too!' Jay felt overwhelmed with joy, he laughed out loud, being able to do things he couldn't for who knows how long!

Jay's eyes finally adjusted to the light after a few seconds and all he saw was a maid with black hair in front of him holding him up.

She seemed a little surprised looking at the baby boy since he made such a weird noise. Yet she smiled and said something that Jay couldn't understand and handed him to a dark-haired woman. This woman was incredibly beautiful that even Jay felt awe looking at her.

The dark-haired woman said something for awhile while smiling at Jay before pulling him close and pulling out her breasts. Jay was resisting at first before feeling incredibly hungry and gave in to it.

Jay got a good look at the woman and saw that along with her good looks and long dark hair was a beautiful set of orange-like eyes. She was a little pale and seemed about average height, but had a set of confidence coming off of her. She wore a long black shirt and white pants. Yet that was all he could distinguish.

After that, Jay felt full he was incredibly sleepy and the woman continued to smile while rocking him. Jay tried his best to resist yet his exhaustion took over and he slept peacefully.

When Jay woke up, he saw the dark-haired woman and a huge man in weird robes looking at him. Jay reacted to the man as a challenger since his mind still felt the need to fight, but his body only lifted his tiny arms and hands towards the man as he made weird noises.

The man and woman both chuckled before looking at Jay with gentle smiles. Jay figured at that point that the man was his father and the dark-haired woman was his mother.

The father was tall and looked toned. He had weird symbols on the robe which was a nice gold color. The gold robe match his long golden hair and bright golden eyes. The man had a short beard that connected to his mustache. He had a small nose that match the dark-haired woman and bright white teeth in his wide smile. Under the robe he had a white shirt with a symbol on it and baggy yellow pants with nice brown shoes.

'Hmm, the man looks quite built, he must be pretty strong, maybe a soldier? Also, Judging from their pretty good looks and along with his robe with weird symbols, we are probably well on money. Though this house is built strangely, it looks kind of, medieval. Please don't tell me I'm in the old age.' Jay didn't want to have to deal with such a thing since well-off families typically don't agree with each other and he didn't want to be in the middle of that.

'I hope if we are in that age that we are not of a royal family. I don't want another crown, for a while at least.' Jay let a smile creep up on his face thinking of fighting armies even if it is just for a little crown.

As time passed he learned more words from his mother and father, along with the maids that would visit his mother and his father, who was not in the room for most days.

"Little Kaiden seems to be as healthy as ever, madam Elisea. He also seems to have got those beautiful looks yours." A brown-haired maid told Kaiden's mother with a smile.

"Thank you very much for the compliments. I hope to walk the halls of the castle soon once again." Elisea sighed before looking back at Kaiden with a smile.

'So, my name is Kaiden? I see, I never did use my full name before, I think Kay will work just fine instead, who knows.' Kay thought before drinking more breast milk and feeling sleepy. 'I am dlowly starting to think faster again and my reactions seem to be getting better too. I want to try walking already, yet she won't put me down! This is quite a pain, not being able to leave this woman's arms.'

Kay couldn't help but still want to do things that would improve himself, even if he did make that promise to be a family man. It felt almost subconscious of him to rise to the very top and he wanted to express it, he even desired it! As he thought this he fell asleep in the caring arms of his mother.

A few days passed like this and one day he woke up to Eliesa walking the halls holding him in her arms. Kay immediately started to study the layout of the castle and saw that his assumption was correct. He was in a medieval age and the outside proved it as they walked by a giant window. The window was stained glass but he only cared to look outside and he saw village houses of stone, wood, and what seemed like clay. He also saw farmland of crops and animals around the area as well.

'Well then, looks like I was right.' a smile appeared on Kay's face. 'Why am I so cocky about being right? oh well, I don't care, this feeling is nice anyway.' Kay couldn't help but subconsciously gloat in his correct assumption.

While Elisea continued to walk around the castle Kay saw huge banners with weird symbols, many huge rooms, a lot of long corridors, and a few kitchens. Then he saw a massive throne room while they were walking by a giant door, with a few banners inside and a huge banner, with a symbol of a 'Golden Pair of Wings', above the single throne. No one was on the throne though.

'I guess the king doesn't bother to sit in this huge room without an audience, I can't relate, I liked that powerful feeling for a while.' Kay felt empowered by that thought, yet Elisea only bowed towards the throne before leaving, she never even entered it. Kay was confused yet he didn't bother with it, he just assumed that the king in there didn't want people to enter unless he told them to.

Elisea eventually arrived at a long table and sat down at one of the many chairs. Kay was sat on the ground as Elisea ate a stew that was put in front of her by a maid and when she did Kay immediately started to crawl away to explore more with a smile on his face.
