"Goddess of Fate. It's been a while since someone called me that." Sirena whispered with a smirk and looked at Layla.
"Looks like no one calls you by that name these days. Hmm, Let me guess! Sirena? Is that what they call you now?" Layla questioned as she looked at Sirena. Her words might sound a little playful but Sirena knew that the dark woman before her had no intention of being playful with her.
When her eyes met Layla's dark eyes, Sirena immediately felt the danger. She could feel the danger looming on her from every side.
"I know you resent me because of what happened to you, but don't do things that you will regret later on. Cara has nothing to do with what happened to you and you brought her here, to the Cosmos. Just what in the world are you trying to do?" Sirena took a deep breath and asked.
" I know. It was never my intention to bring her to Cosmos. That's why I brought her here, to this cursed gate. All the while I only used her as a bait to lure you here." Layla smirked and answered.
"Are you serious right now?" Sirena looked at Layla with disbelief.
"Or else, why do you think only you sensed me? You take those other Gods, who were with you as fools or what?" Layla scoffed at Sirena.
Sirena took at deep breath to calm herself and asked, "So, what do you want?"
"Answers and Reasons. I was confined for ages leading to my current dark appearance. I want my glory back." Layla answered. When she saw the hesitation on Sirena's face, Layla gritted her teeth.
"Today you either answer me or DIE!" Layla glared at Sirena and smirked.
"Ven! Strike!" Layla mumbled and several whips of black smoke came out of Layla and hit Sirena continuously making the latter fall on the ground coughing out blood.
Layla looked at Sirena on the ground as evil darkness flowed from her eyes continuously surrounding her. Only she knew, how she suffered all this time. All the negative emotions invaded her and darkness consumed her completely.
"You, that lover of mine and everyone who made me suffer will pay for it. I will make sure to make them pay." Layla muttered as her dark eyes glowed menacingly.
"Kir! Fire!" Layla muttered raising her hand and Sirena saw a dark blue colored smoke coming out of Layla's palm.
It was coming towards her in a lightning speed and Sirena closed her eyes and chanted a spell.
A red colored shield emerged before Sirena just as the dark blue smoke was about to hit her.
BOOM...
The red colored shield cracked and the dark blue colored smoke exploded as soon as it touched the shield. Layla frowned at the exploded smoke and looked at Sirena coldly.
Sirena opened her eyes slowly as her eyes glowed suddenly. She wiped the blood at the corner of her lips and smirked lazily as she looked at the dark woman before her.
"That was good but, don't forget that you are standing on the divine lands." Sirena muttered and before Layla could react, the cracked shield moved like a flash and hit Layla.
Layla fell on the ground and coughed up blood as her body squirmed in pain.
"I knew you would be released when Sedna's soul starts waking up but you actually managed to escape earlier than I expected. Impressive!" Sirena said as she dusted her hands.
She then continued after a pause, "But, don't you know that with your current state, the longer you stay on the divine grounds, the faster your power gets used up?" Sirena looked at Layla on the ground and scoffed.
"You don't have any power right now and just look at you! You are currently in your most weakest and vulnerable state." Sirena said and closed her eyes. She then opened them slowly and a golden colored spear appeared in her hands.
Layla laughed looking at the spear in Sirena's hands as blood continued spilling from the corner of her mouth.
"Are you going to kill me? Go on! I have been waiting for this moment from a very long time though." Layla said and coughed as more blood continued to spill from her mouth.
"Who's going to kill you? I am just sending you back to the place you came from." Sirena smirked as she threw the spear in Layla's direction, intending to hit her with it.
But, her smirk vanished when she saw the spear suddenly stop as it hovered in the air. A fair hand appeared suddenly as it stopped the spear just when it was about to hit Layla. She looked at Layla and frowned when she saw her winking at her with a smile.
" Woah!! Hold on! Hold on!" Sirena heard someone speak and tilted her head towards the source and found its owner smirking at her as she played with the spear in her hands.
Sirena narrowed her eyes at the sudden visitor and whispered, "Bella?"
