"Who the hell are you?" Cara whispered in shock as she watched Layla's shadow like appearance.
"Me? I am Sedna's friend." Layla said and stood in front of Cara.
"Well! Let's ignore my appearance for some time and let's talk about you."
"Wh..what about me?" Cara asked.
Layla smirked and asked, " In your past life, you were dead. And wanna know how you died?"
Layla smiled when she saw Cara nod her head. She took a step towards the latter and sighed dramatically.
"You were killed by the one whom you love the most. You begged that person to let you live and save your friend . But, that person brutally watched you die even when you begged him to let you breathe and live. You died with a lot of pain but do you know what's more painful? They used your death to kill your friend! And you! Because of you and your stupidity, Sedna was forced to kill herself. You made a lot of contribution to your friend's death, well, even if it is indirect."
Layla smiled and patted herself in her mind as she watched Cara's face become pale as paper. She knew what could trigger Cara's sanity. And that's what she has to do. She has to trigger these friends.
Layla sighed and continued," And coming to your boyfriend. He is also known as The God of Air. And isn't it fishy? I mean you dying due to lack of air to breathe and your boyfriend being The God of Air. I think it's clear enough for you to get what I am saying."
Cara felt a sharp pain in her chest as she heard Layla's words. Some strange scenes flashed before her and tears filled her eyes as she looked at those scenes.
[Cara saw Gabriel stood before her, he was looking at her , as she was squirming on the ground in her serpent form. He was still looking at her, not moving an inch to help her, even after her face became deathly pale and blue due to lack of air. He was still standing there, like a statue, even after her body stopped twisting,as she died.]
Cara felt her head throb in confusion as her vision got blurred with tears. And most importantly, Gabriel?? how could he kill her? Cara felt her vision turn dark and she fainted as her brain turned into a mess with all confusions.
"Sleep, my friend. I will take you to our friend." Layla smirked and the whole room suddenly plunged into darkness just like the woman who had her heart and body filled with it.

OUTSIDE THE CHAMBER.
Vulcan looked at Sirena and narrowed his eyes. He felt like he knew this woman from before. But, couldn't point out from where.
Vulcan knew that there has been a lot of missing pieces in his life. It's like a part of him and his memories of the past have disappeared somehow and he always felt that hollow void in him.
He somehow felt that Sirena knew everything about them. Him, Sedna, Gabriel and Cara, it's like this woman knew their fate and lives.
All his chaotic thoughts suddenly died down when he thought of Sedna.
He smiled softly when he thought about how she looked in the ocean in her mermaid form a while ago. She was just like a child crying as if she was being bullied. . Even with that whining look, she looked so damn adorable. And not to forget that marvellous beauty of her mermaid form, she looked so stunning as the moon kissed her with its warm light. But, the thought of her being related to his missing past made him frown in confusion and he couldnt deny that a part of him is happy as well if she is the one whom he has been missing in his life.
He closed his eyes and sighed softly, trying to organise all the jumbled thoughts in his mind. He looked at Gabriel and found the guy frowning and looking into his mobile.
"What's wrong?" Vulcan asked Gabriel.
Gabriel looked at Vulcan and said," I asked my men to find out everything about Cara and Sedna. They just gave me the report."
Vulcan nodded and asked, "So?"
"Apparently, Cara and Sedna grew up in an orphanage. Sedna is a doctor and I know Cara, she is a journalist. But, I never investigated Cara in the past. Sedna lives with her colleagues but she has an apartment with Cara in the central city. Cara often stays out due to her profession which I know. It's like they both are just normal humans. I asked them to find out everything related to their births. It takes some time."Gabriel said seriously.
"No need to wait. I will tell you about them." Sirena said and opened her eyes making both Vulcan and Gabriel turn towards her.
She looked at their confused and curious faces and sighed softly.
" I was the one who sent both of them to the orphanage. You will not find anything more than that." Sirena said.
She then looked at Vulcan and continued, "You guys are aware of your powers but the girls are not. And the void in your memories is a part of the curse a Goddess has casted. And today's ceremony is for that Goddess to revive and claim her glory back. But, from the way things are looking at the moment, it seems like it will take a lot of time for the goddess to awaken from now."
She then turned to Gabriel and again continued, "And the same goes for you too. The void in your memories takes a lot of time to fill. But, I suggest you guys not rush it. Because the void has nothing but the most painful moments of your life. And you, Lord Gabriel! I can give you a hint of those painful memories of yours."
When Gabriel looked at her intently, Sirena smirked and said, " You watched your lover die in your past life before your eyes. And you know, what's more interesting? It's that you didn't move an inch to help her or try to save her. You just watched her as she died painfully due to lack of air. What an irony! Don't you think? The God of air?
