A few minutes of rest and I went for another slaughter around the city. That round was enough for me to fill the energy gauge. No flashy animations this time but there was one thing that changed. I got another passive sleeve. It saddened me that there was no increase in MP.
I decided to head back home.
Back at my desk again, I pulled up my grimoire. I was already at bronze two yet I wasn't fully decked. I was missing a few accessories and my new passive.
First let's get a passive. I had a total of 800k card points left so I decided to buy a gold rank passive.
"Open."
[THE AIR OF A HERO]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - PASSIVE/MAGIC
[Every minute, generate a flower that floats around the user. User can substitute flowers for MP when casting. Each flower is equivalent to 5MP. At a given time, there can only be a maximum of 100 flowers. Flowers are visible to other people but remains incorporeal. User can choose the type of flower he wants. The scent will match the flower.]
This card was incredible. What I don't like about it is that it makes me look like a fairy from Penglai Mountain. Or Ser Lores when I'm armored and mounted. Thank god the flowers weren't corporeal, or it would be really cumbersome. I placed the card on a sleeve.
Seeing the practically useless The Spark Between Us, I bought another two passive card packs to replace it and fill out the other empty sleeve. Again, no-element packs.
[THEY THAT FOLLOW THE BLOOMS]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - MAGIC/PASSIVE
[Every minute, create a random elemental butterfly. Each butterfly can be used to deal gold one damage to a target. Up to 100 butterflies can be kept at the same time. Butterflies are incorporeal until they are used to attack.]
"Yup. Being Y is messing up with me again." I complained to myself. This time he's trying to turn me into a moving garden.
First it was the White Knight. The ruins of Cangmir is known to have five different Bosses, with only one boss could exist in the dungeon. Being Y must have messed up with fate and caused me to battle with the knight and had it drop the flower themed cards.
Now, after drawing up passives, I also get flower themed cards. If my guess is correct the next card is also flower themed.
[BLOOD RED GARDEN]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - PHYSICAL/PASSIVE
[Everytime you draw blood, it is gathered up and formed into a seed. When the seed absorbs enough blood, a thorn flower will grow. Thorn flowers can be detonated and deal gold five damage at a radius of five meters. User can grow a maximum of 20 thorn flowers per battle.]
'See? What did I tell you? Coincidence? I think not!' On the other hand though, this is a mighty good card.
With the passives done, I flipped over to the armor and accessories page. The card sleeves here where about the size of a domino, which was way smaller than the nearly palm-size card. The magic should come from a space folding trick, similar to Barry Potmaker's mansion inside a tent.
There were individual sleeve for each type of armor or accessory. Armor sleeves consist of head, chest, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet. All of which were occupied by the knight's full armor. There was also inner armor(torso) and inner armor(bottom), both of which are empty.
As for accessories, there was necklace, earrings, cape, two rings, badge, belt and sigil.
'Huh. First time heard of a tattoo you can equip and unequip whenever you feel like it.'
With only 500k points left I decided to buy both top and bottom inner armors, a necklace, a ring and a sigil.
[EMBRACE OF THE HERALD]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - ARMOR
[The gods accept the faith of their children. And you as the child of their children, is tasked to show the might of gods. When equipped, boosts strength to gold five.]
[FLEETING HERALD]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - ARMOR
[The gods accept the faith of their children. And you as the child of their children, is tasked to show the might of gods. When equipped, triple movement speed on foot.]
I thanked Being Y for not giving me flower printed leotards. He wasn't so heartless after all. While the inner armors don't grant protection, they do provide great buffs. Even if it doesn't make me strong enough to go head to head with Single Hit Dude, blowing off the Minotazer's head with a punch is still doable.
I tried out them out and I took a liking to them at first glance. The color of the top was white and had gold geometric designs. The bottom was black with silver designs that matched the top. The bottom part was similar to a girl's warbrode-essential black ponte knit pants. It can used either by itself or as an inner wear. Now I don't have to consider carrying overcoats everyday.
Liking the two new cards, I began to expect good cards from the three remaining ones as well.
[RUDIMENT OF THE HERALD]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - ACCESSORY
[The gods accept... might of gods. When equipped, MP consumption is reduced by 30%.]
Another herald item, I'm beginning to think Being Y is a real person. Previously it was all hunch and doubts, and perhaps someone to blame.
[TESTAMENT OF THE HERALD]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - ACCESSORY
[The gods accept... might of gods. When equipped, greatly reduce the chance of getting inflicted by debuffs.]
It could also be that the pack I got only contains herald items.
[FIRMAMENT OF THE HERALD]
RANK - GOLD
TYPE - ACCESSORY
[The gods accept... might of gods. Everytime you cast a spell absorb 20% of the MP used. When the absorbed MP has filled the entire sigil, cast a barrier that can block one attack.]
Satisfied with the cards, I equipped all of them without hesitation. I checked the time and figured it was time to hit the hay. Tommorow is gonna be a great day.
