Early the next morning, I was on my way to Ervinsyl Manor. Thinking as how Gles was going to be late, I brought it upon myself to escort her personally. Then, there was also another reason. Since I was going to her house, why not try using that card while she was still at home? That way there won't be any problem if she had wardrobe malfunction.
On the way I was contemplating on whether I get a silver rank pet now or later when I have enough points to buy a gold one. But I put it of for later when I thought about Being Y messing up again. If he did, I might get a garden themed pet. It would either be a flower, a bird, a butterfly, a bee, or even a fairy. On second thoughts, a fairy might also be good. I'd accept a fairy from both Chinese and European cultures.
Definitely not a goblin though. It doesn't matter if it was a cute female goblin with blue skin or one that looks like a handsome dude with a sword stabbed to its chest. I'd look like pervert either way.
I arrived at Ervinsyl Manor shortly after. I put off getting a pet for later. I greeted the butler and asked him for Gles' whereabouts.
"I see. Master Geit is here for the young lady. She should be in her room. I wish both of you a good time together."
"I'm just a commoner. No need to speak politely with me."
"True. But you won't be for long." The butler smiled.
I shook my head and lightly waved my hand. "Then, I'll be on my way."
I asked a few maids before I found her room. Like every other rooms on the main building, her's had big double doors. I spun my head around as to what I'll ask when I use the card on her.
I knocked on the door once, followed by another two. No reply, I placed my hand on the knob. It wasn't locked so I opened them.
I was stunned after opening the doors. Gles stood in front of her wardrobe with only a towel on.
"Ah!" She exclaimed after turning her head at my direction.
'Chance!' Gears swirled fast inside my head. In split seconds I pulled out my grimoire and took out Godly Mountains. "Use card Godly Mountains! Target, Gles!"
I shot the card towards Gles who stood stiff. The card lit up and vanished mid-flight. Light wrapped around her and got absorbed into her chest. Like a miracle, peach mountains grew on the flat road.
The sky(towel) that covered the earth(body) couldn't contain the rebellious Peach Mountains and was thrown asunder. The sky fell into the abyss(floor) and the glorious sunshine illuminated the unveiled wonders of the world.
Alas, my immortal heart didn't allow me to indulge in this worldly desires. And so I turned my eyes away, lest I won't be able to stop the rage of the mighty flood dragon(my third leg).
"Kehum. I'll go get your mother. You'll have to borrow her clothes for the time being. You'll also have to ask her for a wardrobe overhaul." I swiftly escaped the awkward moment.
Down the hallway I saw a woman that looked like the countess. Except for the slightly smaller cup size. I approached her and asked,"Good morning, milady. Might I bother you for a moment."
"First time I've seen your face here. Are you a new butler? Or knight?"
"Neither. My name is Solon. I'm a friend of Gles." I lightly bowed.
"So you were the Solon she's been going into raptures about." She chuckles. "Last time, she shown me the potion you gifted her. Curious I was, the first time I saw it, I was intrigued by how so little solution could hold so much mana. I couldn't help myself and dabbed a needle into the potion and pricked a cute little mouse I've been keeping. The effects were astounding. Its coat shined after just a little time. Naturally I wanted to find out if does better on human trials. And it did. It was phenomenal, it brought me back my youth..." She then began to blab on and on about how her skin was smooth and what not.
"... But enough about me. Let's talk about you. So, when are you going to propose to my granddaughter?"
"What? To who now?" I don't think I met her granddaughter before.
"To Glessy! When will ask for her hand?"
"You're her Granny!?" I was shocked at first. But then I remembered her saying that she drank the Salamandrake's Slime Essence.
"Couldn't you tell?"
"Nope. The Essence did wonders, more than I expect they would. I mistook you for her aunt or her older sister."
"Did you now? Too bad. Gles already got to you first."
'It was good actually.' I thanked the fact that I didn't fall for her charms. Hiding behind that thicc figure is granny. "More importantly, Gles is having trouble right now. I need to find the countess so she could help out."
"Is it serious?" Anxiety took over her face.
"In a fashion sense, yes. But not life threatening. You'll understand once you get there." I decided not to look for the countess. So I brought her instead.
We went back. On the way we passed by a maid and I told her to look for the countess and bring her to Gles' room.
Granny(I don't know her name yet) entered the room while I remained outside. A few minutes later a flustered countess came hastily down the hall. It might have been my fault for telling the maid that it was an emergency.
"Solon. Thank goodness your here. Did something happen to Gles?" Her voice filled with worry.
"What happened should be my fault. But don't worry. It's nothing serious. Just that Gles is having a wardrobe malfunction and needs an emergency shopping spree."
The countess appears to be confused as she tilted her head to the side.
"She's inside." I pointed towards the room. The countess became more confused but entered the room.
