Someone who knew Carlos and Patricia immediately approached the couple.
"Hello, Miss," said Hugo, who saw Patricia with her boss.
Patricia's body stiffened.
Why do so many people have to meet with Hugo? said Patricia to herself. She held her fury in check. "Hello, Mr. Hugo. How are you?"
"Fine," Hugo replied, he immediately looked towards Carlos. "It looks like he's very drunk." Without being asked Hugo immediately grasped Carlos and asked Patricia, "Where should we take Mr. Carlos?"
We? Patricia asked in her heart.
Patricia's plans were falling apart, even though she was already happy that her plan would soon work; she would take Carlos to the hotel, and tomorrow morning Carlos would be surprised to have found himself and Patricia having slept together. Patricia will then claim that the child she carried was Carlos's son.
"To the Diamond Hotel. Not far from this place," Patricia said with a sigh.
