Morning came and by the time I got up Mom was in the kitchen making breakfast so I joined her and I told her about Elliot's game when asking about my day yesterday. She was excited to hear that I wanted to stay after school to watch the volleyball game and led to her curiously asking when I’d like to visit dad again so I told her my plans for today. I wasn’t in a rush to visit my dad and I don’t think he is as well.
“Don’t you think you guys hang out a little too much?” she asked. “I know you said that you like him, but you see him almost every day.”
“Hm, I don’t know. It doesn’t really feel like it.” I tell her. “It’s not like we make each other uncomfortable.”
“I know. I was just curious if you hang out with any other kids at school,” she said.
