“He’s still recovering from last night and asking him all this will only cause him to have another episode. Besides, talking to him like that won’t give you the answers you want.” Elliot said as he walked over to me.
My dad took a deep breath and looked between us, “I’m sorry, but I just want to know what was going on in this house or what was wrong with him to just do that. He says that he's hurting from what happened here in this house, but he won't even tell me what happened and I feel like I'm in the dark.”
“That doesn’t mean that you can force him to say it. Michael was dealing with so many difficulties at a young age and having him to speak up about it when he’s not comfortable is not the answer. Don’t you understand that you might have scarred him when he came out to you as gay?” Elliot retorts.
