We continued walking as they changed the conversation and it was nice just listening in while we continued our walk until class was over. Brian’s locker was actually close to mine and he tried to have a conversation with me while we changed. He’s very social compared to me, his hard expression seemed like he would be hard to approach, and yet he was trying to get to know me. He was asking about what classes I have and how school was going for me since they told him that I am a transfer student. The only thing that made me pause on answering was when he asked why I transferred out and I thought about it before answering.
“My mom got a promotion. They offered her a position to get health insurance and just better pay.” I answered as we made our way outside and I saw Fernando walking over towards us.
“Is this your first time transferring? I’m sure it's hard for changing schools.” Fernando asked, already overhearing our conversation.
