I just couldn’t think of anything to say before seeing something that almost changed my mood. “So, David is back,” I said as I saw him leaving the school lot with his group of friends.
Elliot nodded as he started driving once we got inside his car, “I know. I saw him out in the field today.” he said. “He didn’t say anything to you right?”
“No,” I answered. “I was staying away from him as much as I could when I saw him in class. I didn’t want to deal with him after everything that happened.”
He nods, “Yeah, I don’t want to deal with that either.” he said. “Are you afraid to be on your own between classes?”
I shrug my shoulders, “No. Both Alex, Karen, and Jennifer are around, but I don’t want them to be involved. I’m sure David won’t hit a girl, but I still shouldn’t have them nearby if he tries to pull something. It's also more of him trying to run into me after school again.”
“But you're always with me so you don’t have to worry about that,” he added.
