Last night, she was confused about what to tell Lizzy about Leon. And, last night, she had told her best friend that Leon was her relative from the capital.
Now, she was afraid that Sir Leon would disagree with her idea. She decided to ask him first. Maybe he had a better idea.
"Say it..."
"I just want to know how to address you before my friends—" Allynna asked while looking at him. But what she did was completely wrong because when their eyes met, she felt her heartbeat start to beat faster, and she could feel that her cheeks felt warm.
She quickly turned forward, avoiding the gaze that always seemed to put her under his spell.
After a few seconds of silence, Leon replied to her question. "Tell them the truth. You don't need to hide anything."
Allynna was stunned hearing his answer. Her eyes widened when she saw him again, "But isn't that too weird!? I mean, we..."
"Why?"
"Can we keep our relationship in secret? At least for now." How could she tell her friends that she would get married to a man she had only met once?
"Miss Allynna, absolutely not. You are my future wife, and it is not something you should be embarrassed about. So you can tell everyone that you are my bride." Leon firmly stated. Then, he turned away his gaze again out of the window.
Hearing his firm answer made her speechless. But she didn't ask him anything. She could feel Leon now didn't want to talk about this again.
But, she still feels unsure she will tell Lizzy and Helan about him. Because she knows nothing about him, she doesn't know how old he is. Also, who his family was and what his job was. All she knows is his name is Leon. Even then, she didn't know his last name.
She wanted to ask him about it a few times, but the idea completely vanished every time they talked — she now wonders if he could control her mind to stop her from asking.
'NO! There's no way he's a mind reader, right!?' Just thinking about it, she feels shiver.
...
While Allynna was busy with her thoughts, Geoffrey, who was sitting in front, was stunned to hear their conversation.
'Prince Eleon, bride!?' Geoffrey was shocked to hear that. He had always thought this young lady was exceptional in the eyes of the crown prince. He had never seen a prince willing to go to a small island far from the capital to pick up a girl, something he would never do.
Geoffrey wanted to see this girl's face more clearly through the rearview mirror, but when his eyes caught sight of the rearview mirror, he suddenly felt a pair of eyes stab him in the back.
He quickly turned his gaze ahead of the street. He knew it was Prince Eleon who stared at him so pierce.
He didn't want to challenge Prince's anger, so he sat quietly without daring to glance at the back row. Moments later, he bitterly smiled when he knew Crown Prince Eleon had sealed his hearing system. He couldn't hear what they were talking about behind.
"Miss Allynna…" Leon calls her.
She looks at him, "Yes!?"
"From now on, please don't ever wear this kind of outfit," Leon said while seeing her from head to toe.
Allynna frowned. She was confused about why he suddenly forbade her to wear this outfit.
Just before Allynna wanted to ask him, he continued, "Your clothes are too revealing." his tone sounded serious. It made Allynna suprised.
Allynna wanted to protest against him. But she just kept silent. He could only scold him in her mind.
'This is an island, all right. Teenagers use the clothes I'm wearing on this island! Especially during the hot summer like now. Who's wearing a long coat!?' She rolls her eyes and glances at his outfit.
Allynna chuckled because Leon, one of the people who wears an outfit that doesn't match the season, wears a long coat in blazing summer. She slightly shakes her head and turns away her gaze, not wanting to talk to him, but deep in her heart, she promises to follow what he said.
...
The distance to the orphan house was quite far.
Finally, the car stopped after driving for almost two hours. Before leaving the car, she asked Leon's permission to meet Ms. Kanellis, the orphan house director. She thought Leon would let her go alone, but he followed her inside.
When she entered Ms. Kanellis's office, Allynna was immediately greeted by an old lady in her early sixties. She was a little bit fat, with short gray hair. Ms. Kanellis knew about Allynna's arrival at the orphanage because she had called and made an appointment beforehand.
"Allynna? Oh dear, you grow so fast and look so beautiful…" Ms. Kanellis stood from her desk and walked to greet Allynna with a spring-like smile; however, her smile faded when she remembered Allynna's parents.
"Allynna, I'm really sorry for the loss of your parents—"
It was difficult for her to understand. The little Allynna adopted in this place was again an orphan. She was so sad about her unfortunate fate. However, she couldn't do anything for her, let alone tell her about her true identity. She will keep this secret to her grave — she already promised Allynna's parents never to say anything to her about it.
Ms. Kanellis asked Allynna to sit down, and when she realized there was a tall and divine-looking man behind Allynna, she was startled. The man was so handsome with such a strong aura. Too nervous. She immediately asked him to sit with Allynna without daring to look him in the eye.
"Thank you, Ms. Kanellis," Allynna said with a smile. "You already know why I'm here, right?" Ms. Kanellis nodded in response. "In addition to donating usable items, I'll donate some money," she handed Ms. Kanellis proof of the transfer.
"Allynna!? This is a lot of money..." Ms. Kanellis was shocked to see the amount of money that Allynna gave them, a tremendous amount.
Knowing Allynna's current situation, Ms. Kanellis was worried. She is now alone and should have saved this money for her living expenses. But she is donating this amount of money to the orphanage.
What is she thinking?
Why did she do this?
