"Okay, everyone! That's all the briefing we could give. If there are no more questions, we can start the hiking very now. Are you all ready?" asked the club chairman who had a loud and dashing voice.
"Yeah!" All the participants answered. After that, they started to enter the hiking trail with big hiking bags on their backs.
Hadyan looked back, he was looking for a girl with ponytail hair and beautiful eyes who always made his heart warm and peaceful. Tasia was a few steps behind him, side by side with Tata, Patra, and Mark. Hadyan immediately breathed a sigh of relief. As long as she wasn't alone, he didn't have to worry too much.
"What is it, Hadyan?" Marya asked, realizing that her idol's concentration had shifted. All the way, she had been telling him many things.
"Just checking on the others. They're in the back." He returned his gaze to the front, "Since yesterday, I feel like Tasia was angry with me. She doesn't usually act like that. Do you know why she suddenly became cold to me?" he asked.
Marya frowned, "Well.. I don't know. As far as I know, Tasia didn't like you from the start. If she's really angry with you, it's better for you to not get close to her. Am I right?"
Hadyan was silent for a while, "But, we are good friends lately. Why is she suddenly avoiding me again?"
"That's why you shouldn't be near her. She can get angry and hate you even more. You don't know Tasia very well as I do." Mary answered quickly.
"I know her well." Hadyan replied in a firm tone of voice, even to the point of surprising Marya.
But the girl quickly acted and faked a laugh, "Okay.. well.. you indeed understand and know everyone well, Hadyan. That's why you are very popular."
Even though Hadyan was a very confident prince, he planned to follow Marya's advice not to approach Tasia. He really sucks at this. Usually, prince Rangin was someone who could always help him with advice and solutions. But now, he couldn't meet his brother.
After a fun and tiring walk, their hard work finally paid off after arriving at the camping ground in the afternoon. There, all the tired participants were assisted by committee members to start setting up their tents before the sky turned dark.
"It turns out that hiking is not as difficult as I imagined," Tasia said in a disdainful tone, and of course, she was lying.
Patra glanced at her sarcastically, "Because this mountain is for beginners. And you are with members who are already highly trained like us. It feels like the club members actually have become helpers for the outside participants." he babbled, not realizing that his friend was just teasing him. He was also exhausted, but still had to take care of the outside-club participants who were spoiled like two-week-old kittens.
"Don't forget, Patra. You also need our money, right?" Tata said with a sly smile. Tasia nodded in agreement, imitating her best friend's smile.
"Forget it, Patra. We're never going to win against them." Mark patted the shoulder of his friend who was busy setting up a tent with a sullen face. The problem was, it was the fifth tent he had helped set up. It felt like his joints were all going to fall off now.
"Eh? Has anyone seen Hadyan and Marya? Where are they?" Mark asked as looking around.
Tata immediately glanced at Tasia who instantly moved uneasy, "Maybe they are setting up a tent."
"No way. I was just walking around this area and they weren't there. You girls should be in the same tent, right? Why isn't Marya here?" Asked Patra.
Tata nodded annoyedly, "Right, that lazy girl would rather disappear somewhere than help us set up the tent she'll be sleeping in."
"They must have gone out on a date. You guys are common hikers who don't know the attitude rules of the mountains hiker." Patra suddenly looked worried. Believe it or not, the outdoors, especially mountains and forests were places that must be respected. We shouldn't be careless here.
"We'd better find them now. It'll be dark soon." Mark suggested quickly after looking at his watch.
"Eum.. you guys can look for them alone. Let me stay here because I'm afraid." Tasia made an excuse. Tata realized that, so she didn't comment as usual, but just agreed to the request. She knew Tasia just wanted to get away from the two people.
"Very well Tasia, we'll go find them. You just wait in the tent or near the crowd over there," Tata appointed a group of committee members and other participants who were resting after setting up the tents. Tasia nodded. Then, her three friends immediately left, leaving her alone in front of the tent.
For now, Tasia did not want to talk with anyone. She just needed to be alone in the tent.
'I can't believe that I really ended up falling for Hadyan. Why is all this happening? He is a ghost! How could I, who knew the fact, still could grow a feeling him?
Even now I get jealous after seeing that he became close to Marya. It turns out that the male demon is the same as the boys in the human world. They are all jerks! What bad luck I got stuck and fall for him. Luckily, I didn't agree to go with him to live in his mystical realm. It's possible that he already has hundreds of wives there.'
Tasia snorted many times. She thought, she would soon go crazy if she didn't take her mind off Hadyan and Marya. Because of that, Tasia decided to get out of the tent and walk around their camping area.
"Ah! How fresh! I should have done this a long time ago!" Tasia muttered while walking leisurely in her moss green jacket while looking at the beauty of the surrounding nature, enjoying the rows of tall trees and the melodious chirping of the dusk birds.
Unknowingly, she walked a little further than she should because she was too mesmerized by the view of the woods. But it didn't take long for a timid girl like her to realize this, so she immediately walked back to the camping area.
Suddenly, she faintly heard the sound of a laughing woman, making her almost shriek in surprise and weaken her knees, "Huh? But, it's heard like Marya's laughter," she realized, then cancelled her afraid feeling.
Out of curiosity, she slowly followed the sound of laughter that came and went with the faint sound of chatter. And.. just like what was in her mind, she found Marya and Hadyan were chatting a few meters away from her standing spot, blocked by towering tree trunks.
'Again?! What the bad luck I always get this kind of sight!' She snorted annoyedly.
Then, just like being struck by lightning in the middle of the forest, she saw a very heart-wrenching scene. Marya kissed Hadyan's cheek in the middle of their conversation.
'I'd better get out of here soon.'
Then, she turned hastily and threw her steps recklessly, causing her words to become true. She really got a 'Bad Luck'.
KRAK!! BUGH!! Tasia tripped over a tree root and fell onto a small pile of twigs and dry leaves.
Hadyan and Marya who were sitting alone on a trunk of an old fallen tree heard the noise and immediately looked back while Tasia quickly got back up at the same time. She found the two of them staring at her in shock.
Tasia didn't know what colour of her face was now, whether it could be juxtaposed with tomatoes or peeled watermelon. All she could think of was smiling, gesturing sorry using her two palms she put together, and giving a peace symbol with her two fingers, "Sorry to bother you guys. Please continue," she said with an uneasy grin.
"No, Tasia!" In that second, Hadyan immediately chased Tasia who suddenly ran away as if she were chased by a ghost. And that's exactly what happened now. He left Marya alone there.
"Tasia! Tasia! Wait!" He called out while running so fast that the distance between them, which had been quite far before, became only a little. But it was still too far for him to reach the girl. Meanwhile, Tasia continued to run as fast as she can like an Olympic athlete.
Tasia didn't dare to turn around because she knew what her face looked like now. The shame she felt couldn't be described in any way. She's really done now!
"Tasia! Please! Stop! Don't run! It's dangerous!" Hadyan exclaimed, realizing they had gone off the safe path. But Tasia didn't listen. It was as if her ears were being covered by the howling wind and panic feel.
"Tasia! Stop.."
BRUGH!!! CRASH!!
Tasia slowly stopped her feet when she heard that terrible sound. Her heart was pounding hard and her vision was a little blurry. She imagined what was going on behind her and hoped it didn't really happen. But the silence that suddenly struck, indicated that Hadyan's figure really wasn't behind her anymore. It made her look horrified.
"Hadyan!" She screamed frantically from the edge of the ravine, looking down at the steep terrain.
