Chapter 11 - Sacrifice.

Keir and his team were in a difficult situation because of the unending amounts of small dragons. They had to think of something quickly or else it would mean their demise.

Keir was worried for his newfound friends and himself, and he knew he had to do something. His body was tired out of running around slashing at the small dragons. Then he remembered about his ability, necromancy.

Keir immediately summoned the beasts and the humans he had killed. He saw black liquid-ish smoke coming out from the pores of his body. The beasts were the same, large and fiery looking, and the humans, they were black as coal, along with a red shine from their pupils. When he had killed them, the warriors looked the same as they had the same weapons and armor.

Looking at the red eyes of the summoned warriors, he felt a sense of distress in his chest. His chest burned uncomfortably and gave him a disturbing feeling.

He ordered the summoned warriors to fight and protect them as much as they could.

When the small dragons noticed the black warriors, their behavior changed. The small dragons became more aggressive and furiously attacked the people and the summoned warriors.

Keir found it very unnatural that the small dragons were having smoky nostrils, but they didn't release fire until he went to attack one of them and it surged fire out of its mouth.

"What the fuck are those?"

Raj shouted, noticing the summoned warriors. His eyebrows had been wide lifted and his mouth was half-open. He was even more scared looking at the horrifying creatures Keir had summoned.

"Don't worry, they are allies!"

Keir shouted at Raj. Jin and Mira had a slightly frightened expression as well, but the expression changed back to struggling when they saw the small dragons spewing fire out of their mouth.

When a small dragon got stabbed or harmed, it spews fire at the one who harms it and attacks it with its tail and claws.

It didn't take long for his teammates to figure out how to avoid the fire. "Slice their neck, that will stop 'em from spewing fire," Jin shouted as he took a moment to speak. Keir and the others heard him and followed his instruction.

The situation went even more difficult after he summoned the black warriors and beasts. Keir could no longer rely on the summons warriors as they were having a hard time reaching the hosts to protect them.

The summoned beasts were already gone because of the difference in power between the dragons and the beasts. While the warriors were also dying off slowly.

Keir leaped towards the summoned warriors and ordered them to protect him. They surrounded him and started fighting off the small dragons while Keir tried to summon the smaller dragons killed by him.

He imagined them behind him but nothing happened, nothing appeared. He tried again but failed.

Keir got out of the circle of his warriors and sliced off a dragon. He grabbed one part of its body and jumped back into the protection.

The part of the dragon slowly burned off and a few moments later, only ashes remained in his hands.

Keir felt a string break in his mind. He was furious that the small dragons were not alive. They were like his summoned beasts and warrior.

During that time, Keir came up with a plan. He jumped out of the circle of warriors and leaped towards Jin while avoiding the small dragons.

Keir reached Jin and told him a few words. Jin nodded and followed Keir. The summoned warriors, Jin and Keir pushed through the small dragons towards Mira. They joined Mira and Keir privately told her a few words, to which she nodded in agreement.

The summoned army made a circle protecting the three while Keir pulled out a small glass bottle filled with shining golden liquid.

Keir raised his head and gulped down all the golden liquid inside the glass. He felt a warm feeling in his chest, which traveled to his limbs, then the warmth traveled to fingers and toes.

Keir grabbed Jin and Mira by the waist and made a tremendous leap toward Raj. During the jump, Jin and Mira yelped out loud because surprise took them with a sudden movement.

Keir landed on the higher ground with tremendous pain in his legs, it felt like there was something sharp emerging from the muscle, and at the same time, it felt like burning needles were being inserted in his bones.

The moment he landed beside Raj, he once again kicked him off the boulder.

Raj's face once again distorted in terror as he fell on the small dragons.

The dragons on the boulder fell off with Raj as he tried to grab onto something, but failed. He shouted for help, but Jin and Mira were still recovering from the sudden jump.

The dragons jumped off the boulder seeing Raj fall and soon he could not be seen with small dragons covering the entire of his body.

Keir didn't waste a second and dashed towards a dark place. He was fast, faster than the dragons, who were slower because of their heavy tail and small legs.

Keir closed his eyes and used beast-like senses, but he couldn't just like before.

He opened his eyes but it was all very dark, he couldn't even see anything even though he could see in the dark before when he killed the people at night.

"You can't use your abilities here anymore."

A voice said out of nowhere. Keir recognized the voice and it was the same one that he heard in the cave behind the waterfall. When Keir heard that voice, a boiling sensation emerged from his heart. He felt extremely aggrieved and he shouted

"What do you want from us?"

He shouted angrily as he dropped Jin and Mira onto the ground, and they let out a small voice because of the sudden drop.

"Calm down Keir, it was you all that entered the cave and those who enter the cave have to take part in the trial."

The voice talked to Keir as a friend would, but Keir was furious because of this voice Keir Keir had lost a friend to damned creatures that were not even alive.

"Oh yeah? What if I don't? I have all the fucking right to leave this place. Because of you, I lost a friend."

Keir madly argued as he fumed with anger. He was very sad because of the loss of his friend and was very mad.

Keir's chest was flaring up and his mind felt like it was going to blow up with anger.

"Huh? what do you mean 'because of me'? Wasn't it you who pushed him off that boulder? And yes, if you don't take part in the trial we would be glad to feed you to the dragon. After all, it hadn't eaten in a couple of days.."

The voice sarcastically replied.

"What do you mean by the dragon? that fucking thing didn't move for days."

Keir replied aggressively

"Well, that is because you hadn't moved, if you had moved it would have definitely eaten you."

The reply silenced Keir as it reminded him of how careful he had been and one wrong thought could have cost him his life.
