Keir has left his home to venture into the world and learn about Qi.
Some people leave in groups while some are alone.
Keir is alone physically, but he has a companion. The voice that guides him.
The weather is dull and his path wet from rain and the only thing in his mind is reaching Yilling city to join a guild and earn some money so that he has enough money to move around. Guilds are known to be a place to earn good money if you have the power to kill things that surpass human's physical capacity. Thought there are weak things.
Keir walked for over a couple of hours and is now in the middle of a damp bamboo forest.
In the middle of the forest, the wet soil road continues.
Keir hears a throttling noise from behind and turns around to see a carriage pulled by a horse and a man reining the horses. The man stopped beside Keir and says "Want a ride?"
Keir looked at the man.
He had a thick beard and was fat and wore rather fancy clothes.
The man asked Keir as he saw his mud-covered boots and pants.
"Sure, how much?"
"Hmmm, depends where we are going?"
"Yilling city"
Keir replied.
The traveler swung his hand in the air hand referring for Keir to get on.
Keir hopped on the carriage and sat on the wooded deck as threw his luggage aside.
The carriage started moving, and it started raining. The smell of dust and the green environment with a clit-clat sound of the horses walking and the showering noise of the rain was calming enough to make Keir fall asleep.
Hours went by and the gray sky turned orange. The clouds moved but the cold sensation remained.
Keir remained asleep while someone in the carriage woke. A figure covered by a cozy soft blanket rose from the pile of materials. As the blanket slipped off the figure a fair skin maiden with blue eyes was unveiled. She wore a blue dress with golden stripes.
The girl had beautiful curves and a beautiful shape in her body.
She stretched her hands and yawned.
She covered her body back with the warm blanket and made her way through the pile of things to the front with the man.
"Good morning princess, for what may I owe this visit?" The man said with a sarcastic tone.
The girl let out another yawn ignoring the words of the man.
The girl looked behind Keir and said "Who may this gentleman be?"
"A noble, have you not noticed? He is the king's nephew."
The girl didn't understand what the man said as she had just woken up and her mind was a mess.
The orange tone in the sky turned red and then went dark. The carriage searched for a place to stay because the food supply was over.
When the girl asked Keir why he has not brought food with him, he answered saying that he forgot. By the time Keir remembered he forgot his food he was already hours away from his home and it was almost dark.
After traveling a distance, they found a tavern by the side of the road where they got off.
As they walked toward the tavern, they introduced themselves to each other.
The girl introduced herself as Mira Rose and the man was Keeth Rose. He was a merchant and Mira has been traveling with the her father.
They had their meal and walked into their room for rest. Keir Instead of sleeping sat on the floor and closed his eyes to contact the voice that has been with him since his birth.
They talked about what they must do with the traveler and his daughter. The voice told him to take their help until he reaches Yiling city. After which he must leave them and join a guild.
The voice also told Keir that Mira would join him soon and so Keir must not decline her offer and the reason for such an act was not revealed.
The three were ready to leave when the sun rose. Keir and Mira hopped on the carriage and talked their way until they reached the door of yiling it was a huge line of carriages and carts lining up. There was another line of people which was shorter with only half a dozen of people. Kier hopped off the carriage and neared Keeth.
"I am leaving, how much do I owe?"
Keir asked Keeth.
Keeth took a moment to think and replied.
"A silver"
Keir pulled out a leather pouch and started searching for a silver coin.
He handed a silver coin to Keeth and bowed to him with a gesture of thanks.
Keir started to leave when Keeth shouted his name.
"Would you mind taking my daughter with you? since both of you gave the same motive in mind."
Keir replied after a moment of pause.
"Alright"
Keeth let out a smile.
Mira hopped off the carriage after hugging her father. Both Keeth and Mira nodded at each other.
*In the tavern*
"Mira, I think it's about time you go pursue your dreams. You always wanted to become an adventurer, didn't you?."
Keeth said to Mira as his face became sad and gloomy.
It surprised Mira that he said such a thing at such a time.
"Go with Keir..... and make your mother's dream come true."
The old man said aa drop of tears fell from his cheek. His heart was heavy, but he was also glad that his daughter would pursue her wish.
Mira looked at Keeth with watery eyes and hugged him while she cried out loud. She was naturally sad because she was going to leave him, and there was no guarantee that she would see him again. She was also glad and excited. While she thought of becoming what she always wanted, she felt an uplifting and bubbling feeling in her chest.
