Refreshment.
All she could feel was refreshment, the cool wind coming from the window, gently kissing her skin in wave after blessed wave, the lukewarm blood being slowly fed into her body, even with all the prodding needles and the somewhat itchy gown she was wearing.
It was the best she had slept in months, maybe it was the anaesthetics working their magic, but for the first in a long time, she didn't dream.
And that meant no nightmares.
She slowly opened her eyes and looked around in the room, first to her left and then to the right, she almost gasped when she found an unfamiliar face staring back at her.
She sighed and blinked at the man who silently and creepily stared at her. "You." She deadpanned. "Why are you here?" It was the policeman who had found her in the farmhouse.
"I wanted to be the first to speak to you." He replied honestly, folding his hands and leaning back relaxed. "Do you mind answering a few questions?"
Slowly, her senses were returning as well, the drug they had administered seemed to have calmed her down quite the bit, it was night again, and she was in her right mind, that's also how she realised that both her hands and feet were cuffed to the bed. "And these?" She weakly tugged at her restraints with a sigh.
"Precautions, you had an episode a few hours ago and broke the doctor's arm quite impressively." He commented with a nod.
At this point, she was starting to get anxious, she could already feel the moon morphing her mind. "Release me." She grunted, tugging harder on the cuffs. "I have to get out of this town."
"Not happening, you're our only suspect." He sighed unfolding his arms and scooting the chair closer to her.
"Suspect?"
"There was a jewel store robbery on Becker's Street yesterday, a male and female duo made off with a good seventy or so thousand dollars in gold necklaces, chains, etcetera.
"I have nothing to do with that." She quickly retorted, immediately growing angrier as she remembered Samantha.
"Who was the man with you?" The officer asked. "You're already in custody, at least do the right thing now, your boyfriend left, who is he? Where did he go?" He persisted.
"I'm not the one you want." Kay snapped tugging at the cuffs and causing the bed to rattle as if it was on the verge of collapse. "Get these fucking things off me or so help me I'll kill you where you sit."
"Kill me?" He stared incredulously. "And you expect me to believe you aren't the perp while saying shit like that?"
"Listen to me, you're in danger, all of you are but if you release me, we can prevent anything from happening."
He chuckled. "Now that you're acting up again, the nurses will come in and sedate you, we'll talk again when you're in holding." He sighed before standing and walking to the door. "Crazy thieving bitch."
While walking out, he kept thinking of her eyes, they were now a dull shade of blue, but he couldn't erase the golden eyes he had seen before, he had originally planned to ask her, but decided not to after her outburst and declaration of murder.
He didn't know this girl, but she seemed capable of doing anything if she was so freely declaring to kill someone, it wasn't worth it.
"Damnit!" She shouted when seeing two nurses rushing through the door after the man's departure.
"How is she even awake? The anaesthetic should've lasted at least another seven hours!" The nurse holding a syringe mused as the other tried holding down a now frantic Kay.
"Don't you dare stick that needle in my arm you bitch!" Kay began blurting a long line of explicit words growing angrier and angrier each passing second, her blood began boiling with rage, she could feel her demons creeping up on her again, invading her mind. "Don't!"
"Stop!"
"Hurry up this kid's unbelievably strong!" The male nurse struggled to the point where veins began popping up on his forehead.
She began screaming when the cold tip of the needle touched her skin before she finally cracked and released a blood curdling roar that shook the nurses to their core, causing them to back away from her in fright, the glass windows around her rattled and the hinges creaked as her roar kept rising higher and higher until the entire hospital was consumed by it.
The nurses in front of her could do nothing but cover their bleeding ears and scream from both pain and fear, paralysed by the roar.
Her eyes flickered gold and back as she fought against the drugs making trips around her circulatory system.
"What gives you the right to decide what's best for people without their permission?" She asked as her eyes kept changing back and forth.
With a tug she snapped the cuff on her right hand, she did the same with her left, then slowly sat up, her hair was wildly draped over her face and neck, plastered on her skin by her own sweat. "You damn humans.."
"I'm going to mutilate you." Kay said with a deep and shimmering voice that echoed in their heads.
She held her head and began screaming in pain, when a hoard of thoughts suddenly came crashing into her mind.
"Kill them, kill the humans, kill them all."
She couldn't tell where they were coming from, these voices, the voices of those she had killed before. They were nowhere, but they were everywhere, a legion of cries for death that tormented her, every moon without end. Conscious or not, they were always around when the moon was high.
She threw herself back on the bed, screaming her head off in an attempt to silence them, but the louder she got, the more they'd drown out her voice until finally she went quiet.
With the moon close to Midnight's peak, she lost again to her curse and arose hypnotically, the entrancing golden eyes she possessed were now the shade of blood, giving off a sinister and evil light in the dimly lit room.
She reached for the cuffs holding her legs and crushed them like glass under stress, then stepped off the bed and looked to the door.
The male nurse was the first to run away, not chancing what he assumed to be a demonic possession in the happening.
The female nurse stood up and backed out of the room before also turning to make a run for it, as soon as she did though, blood splattered on the floor as she was impaled.
Kay withdrew her hand from the woman's torso then rammed her hand through her again before grabbing her neck with her other hand and clawing out a huge portion of her throat, causing even more blood to splatter against the white tiled floor and walls.
One would've thought she was done, but she sluggishly raised the now battering corpse and threw it across the hall causing another big splash of blood on the walls before suddenly springing at it and ripping it in two.
Just as she stood, several screams suddenly met her ears causing her to look to the side.
Her room was the last room in the hall, and everyone, staff and patients alike leading down to the exit and turns had come out to see what had caused the commotion.
Now having seen it, some had fainted while other had run away, but most were frozen that is until her gaze and theirs met.
"Don't move!" The officer from earlier had come back after all the noise he had heard.
He held a horrified expression as he had witnessed Kay rip a woman apart as though she was made of cotton, but now with his gun pointed at her he dared approach. "Turn around and put your hands in the air!" He demanded, but the crimson indifference that met him in defiance had his resolve crumbling and his hands shaking. "Y-your hands! Put 'em up!" He shouted.
When she made no move to surrender he fired a warning shot at her, the staff and patients all took cover, and Kay finally made a move, she began walking toward him.
"Stop!" He shouted before shooting her in her leg, but when she didn't even stop moving he began shooting with the intention of killing her.
She made a pre-emptively skilled Dodge from the first two bullets before falling on her hands and running at him quadruped, when he fired a fourth time she began moving like a true beast, where her gown split suddenly sprouted a tail and she sped off like a cheetah almost vanishing from his sight as she made a full circle running from the floor and switching to the wall before latching on to the ceiling like a beast from hell and then crawling down the other side of the wall and leaping at him.
He was helpless to retaliate as she bit into his side and grabbed him off the ground before smashing him back into it several times until his bones were completely broken, shattered like bits of stones under a sledgehammer.
She released him when the people who had been hiding began making a crowded dash toward the emergency doors.
Again, with her tail wildly swinging behind her she leapt to the roof and began crawling at thrice the speed they were running, blocking them off in almost an instant.
She decapitated the first two patients that practically crashed into her before leaping into the crowd of panicking humans.
When they seemed to be getting away from her she began roaring out so loud that any supernatural being with enhanced hearing within a hundred kilometres could easily hear and identify that she was nothing they'd ever encountered before.
Her skin began getting lighter and her ears became bloodied before falling off completely, her eyes dilated for a second then began growing bigger, her thumb withdrew up to her wrist and the very bones in her body began snapping and expanding, her nose elongated and her teeth started falling out before tall canines and sharp incisors and molars began growing in their place, her neck thickened and grew taller and her heel snapped back allowing her feet to also undergo a seemingly painful transformation, all while a coat of ironically beautiful white fur emerged from her skin, covering her.
Her shoulders slanted and ears practically popped back out of her head as she roared and roared, the hatred and pain she had endured all came rushing out as she underwent a full transformation for the second time in her life, she was no werewolf.
She was something far more powerful, something much eviller. While she did look like a werewolf, she retained most of the characteristics of a natural wolf with the exception of being able to stand on her hind legs.
Blood-Wolf.. a Nightmare born of a Werewolf and Blood-Hound.
What made her different is that not only did she survive after birth, but her other parent was also an Alpha.
Kay was born from a transformed mother under the light of a Super moon, her very existence was both a curse and an abomination.
"KILL, THE HUMANS!"
