As Will was sleeping, a strange situation was happening in the outside world. Time was passing hundreds of times faster than in his dream, and at this point, around 2 days had passed. Belle had stayed by his side this whole time, trying to figure out what it was about him that seemed so important to her, but no matter how much she thought about it, she just could not figure it out.
Prince James left her and Will alone because Belle was beloved by their father. Even if Prince James complained to their father, he would do nothing to stop Belle even if she broke one of his arms and legs.
This fact had always bothered Prince James, but there was nothing he could do about it. He just had to deal with his injuries and move on.
...
In his dream, Will was in a garden. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. It was filled with the most beautiful flowers and trees that he had ever seen. It went on as far as his eyes could see and seemed to have no end.
At this moment, a refreshing smell of lavender entered his nose and calmed his mind. This was the most peaceful he had ever felt, and he became dazed instantly, forgetting all about the beautiful garden he was in.
He even didn't notice that the source of the smell was a girl who looked to be 20 years old. She was so beautiful that entire countries would go to war just to get a glimpse at her.
It took a few moments for Will to wake up from his daze, and when he did, he saw the girl in front of him. He again became dazed by her beauty, but unlike other men, he looked at her with no impure thoughts whatsoever. Any other man would look at her with lust and would not be able to restrain themselves from attacking her and defiling her right there and then.
"Hello?" Will asked.
"Hi," said the girl. Her voice was sweet and smooth like honey. It seemed to have the ability to calm one's mind and bring enlightenment to those who heard it. Although she only said one word, Will felt that it contained more complexity than an entire universe. It was as if the girl had experienced millions of lifetimes and had learned the laws and origins of this universe.
"My name is Sophia. I came to you because I want to give you something," said the girl.
"Give me something? I don't even know where I am. Where did you come from? What do you want to give me?" He was extremely confused. This entire world had just appeared before him. He didn't know how he got here, nor what this place was, and only now did he think about it.
"Wait. What happened? Did I die?" he quickly asked with an obvious shakiness in his voice. He wasn't afraid to die, but rather to die in such a way. Killed by the one he was supposed to take care of. Killed by Prince James.
"You are not dead. At least not yet. But you are dying, and quickly too," Sophia responded.
"What?"
"I said you are dying. Time is passing in the outside world. This is just a dream, and I came here to help you. The only way you will live is if you accept my help."
"And what exactly is your help?" Will asked with suspicion. He was curious whether this girl actually wanted to help him or if she wanted to trick him.
"Your heart. It is pure unlike no other I have ever seen. Being able to see the good in anything at all. Even in the face of death, you are still calm, as if you know it's going to get better."
"Because it will. No matter how bad it is right now, nothing is permanent. Good will always come eventually, even if it's in the next life, or the life after that, or even the life after that. No matter how evil a person is, they can get better, even if it is in the next life. Life will always go on, and some things never do change, like gravity, but they will never get worse." Daniel responded philosophically. This was his view on life; no matter hyw bad things are, they will get better. And for those things that never change, they will never get worse than they already are, so why fight against it?
"And that is exactly why I have chosen you for the power of the Ruby Heart," Sophia said with a smile.
"Ruby Heart? What's that?"
"The ruby heart will help you rise to the top of this world. With it, you will rule over the heaven and earth and banish evil from this world."
"Do good with it," Sophia said as she started to fade away. The world around him started to warp as if reality was shattering and folding. Nothing looked real and as if it all was a trick.
At this moment, a small red ruby appeared in front of Will and entered his chest. It seemed to contain the pure intent of hope and love.
"Wait! Don't go! I still have so many questions!!!" he yelled, but it was in vain. Sophia had already disappeared at this point as reality finally broke and Will fell into a normal sleep. He dreamed about normal things, such as hopes and dreams that he wanted to accomplish.
...
Unaware of the dream that Will had just gone through, Belle continued to sit at his bedside, watching his rising and falling chest, with hope that he will be okay. She had sat like this for 5 days.
Miss Amelia watched Belle with curiosity as she had sat there for 5 days now. She never left his side. The only thing she did aside from watch him was eat, drink, and sleep each night. But even while she slept, she still never left his side.
At this moment, as Belle was lost in thought, Will's finger suddenly twitched. This detail did not go unnoticed by Belle, however, and she instantly alerted Miss Amelia to the development.
When Miss Amelia came over, Will was slowly starting to twitch, and by the time she had started her tests, Will had started twitching violently, shaking the whole bed he was laying on.
"What's happening?" Belle yelled with horror, terrified by Will's suddenly convulsing body, which was now turning hot and red.
"I don't know! Nothing like this has ever happened before!" Miss Amelia yelled.
As Miss Amelia was frantically trying to figure out what was happening to Will, all Belle could do was sit there and watch with tears in her eyes.
