After putting on the dress in the restroom, Brie observed herself in the mirror. She slowly ran her finger over the smooth fabric of the dress, She loved just how the dress accentuated her curves and this thought brought a smile on her lips, it reminded her of April and how she never ceases to give comments. Thankfully they can spend more time together outside the hospital.
Brie sighed and continued to dress up but just as she tried to zip her dress up the zip got stuck so she decided to ask Sophie for help. Hoping to find Sophie in the room she walked out and thoughtlessly said. "Hey Sophie, my zip is stuck " but to her surprise Lucan was the only one in the room.
Lucan turned to see Brie who was red with embarrassment. but oh that dress. how was she always able to make him weak whenever she had on black,and how the dress just Hugged her body accentuating all her curves. was it because he had not seen her dressed up in awhile,but it took everything in him not to push her against the wall and kiss her till they both went numb.
"oh, Mr McCain, I thought Sophie was here, wasn't expecting to see you here" Brie almost choked up on her own words.
Just how embarrassing was this day going to be, and to think that she was just half dressed. 'I must have lost my mind' she thought to herself.
Lucan who had been lost in his thoughts suddenly realized that he had been staring at her. "Would you like help with that" he blurted out before he realized what he said.
'what the fuck is wrong with me, I need to control myself not urge myself'. he scolded inwardly.
Brie who was unable to move or even think just nodded and her actions made her think of April's story about a lizard who just nodded at everything you said or did.
Lucan walked over to stand behind her and he immediately regretted his decision. "I should've called Sophie" he muttered under his breath as he slowly reached for her zipper his cold knuckles lightly brushing her back.
After a few seconds of holding her breath, Brie finally felt a cold touch on her back which sent shivers down her spines, she could feel the goosebumps that crept up her skin, but the torture didn't end as it seemed Lucan was taking his precious time or he was probably having problems with the zip.
"Congratulations on getting discharged, it's just a little gift, I hope you accept it" Lucan said after fastening the hook of the necklace he had put around her neck.
Brie who had been subconscious all along finally woke up from her daze when she felt something cold on her chest,she looked down to see a tiny crystal teardrop necklace around her neck.
She slowly reached for the stone and ran her finger over its smooth cold surface.
"It's beautiful " Brie whispered completely and totally enchanted by the stone.
"it's yours, congratulations on getting discharged " Lucan said
Brie immediately stopped admiring the stone and turned to face him. "I don't think I can accept this, it's a bit too much. I'm sure this stone costs a fortune"
Lucan smiled." it's okay to take it, anyway I knew you'd reject it so I got a fake one , and it goes well with your dress" He urged her and luckily he saw the look in her eyes change and she gave him a bright smile.
"Oh good, in that case I'll take it" she said and admiringly stared at the necklace.
"look how beautiful this is, I only wonder what the original would look like" Brie muttered to herself.
"Thank you, I love your gift" Brie said to Lucan who gave her a nod.
Sophie hurried into the room and without sparing Brie a glance she walked over to Lucan "let's talk....outside " . and with that she left the room.
Lucan gave Brie a small smile before leaving the room.
"What was that?, she didn't even say anything about the dress. She made a lot of effort to pick the dress and she wouldn't even say anything about it" Brie sighed.
"My God!!" April exclaimed as she walked into the room.
"For a moment I thought I walked into the wrong room. I always wondered what you'd look like if you weren't wearing the hospital gown but now that I finally see it, I don't even have the words to express it" April showered Brie with her usual praises.
"Come on, April you're exaggerating" Brie said already feeling embarassed.
"Alright why don't you ask Sophie or even Mr McCain, let's hear what they have to say".
Brie just smiled remembering that both Lucan and Sophie had seen her and they didn't leave any comment about her dressing,even a negative comment would've been better than nothing.
"I think it's time to go " Adam said from the door where he stood.
After several minutes, Brie and April were already seated in Lucan's car which was driving out of the city to an unknown destination. meanwhile Adam and Sophie were long gone on their way to the airport.
Brie wasn't sure what was happening but back at the hospital Sophie had Hugged her and told her she'd come for her, then handed her a phone before leaving.
"Wow! Where under the sun is this!" April exclaimed gaping at the view outside.
The road they were driving on was a narrow path which looked to be designed for only one car at a time.
"it looks like we just drove into a painting" Brie whispered as she stared at the awe of nature.
How a trail of palm tress stood beautifully, she could almost feel them waving at her. and how another tall tree standing at a distance divided the setting sun was an amazing view,just how breathtaking it would be to watch the sunset by the sea.
"Where is this ?" Brie asked Lucan without taking her eyes off the view outside her window.
"it's where I live, you'll stay here until Sophie returns."
