Brie and April soon got used to living in Lucan's house, They spent the day cooking,gardening ,going for check ups and taking walks by the beach. These days Lucan was hardly around,Bany had told them that Lucan would be travelling for a few business trips and would be very busy.
This morning, Brie had received a call from worrisome Sophie who kept nagging her about taking care of herself and going to the hospital, she also apologized for not being with her.
"Bany says your psychologist will arrive today" April said as she walked into the room. "I meant this morning, because you don't look enthusiastic at all" She continued as Brie did not give any response.
"What if all our efforts were useless and I really can't regain my memories, wouldn't that be a waste. Everyone is asking me to take care of myself and be healthy but its been almost a month and there is no improvement, I still only know the things you guys tell me" Brie said in a broken voice. After speaking to Sophie she had done a lot of thinking and realized that she was being a burden to everyone. Lucan who she didn't know how he was related to her was sheltering and taking care of her, April had left home just to stay close to her and keep her company, Sophie had left her work half done and come to visit her at the hospital when she regained consciousness and now she was overworking just to make ends meet. As for Bany and the servants in the house, they had to specially tend to her nutrition and they had to speak carefully around her not to rile her up. She was just a burden and the fact that she had nowhere else to go made her even more upset as her eyes started stinging and was welled up with tears.
"Oh no don't cry" April whispered loudly and went over to console her. "You never know how things will work out.Just imagine that it would be better if you didn't remember. What if you were in a terrifying accident and the memory was too shocking that you automatically forgot,or what if you were a survivor of a terrorist attack. oh and what if you were deported from a country that had a zombie attack " April said trying to lighten up the mood and to her satisfaction she heard Brie's small laugh.
"Wouldn't I be a Zombie then or a half zombie " Brie said and they both laughed at her joke. just then a small knock came on the door and Abby entered.
"Mr Black is here to see you" Abby said to Brie
"I'm so forgetful do you know that I came here to deliver that message". April said and gave her head a little slap.
" So are you ready to meet your doctor? " April asked and Brie gave her an approving nod

"I feel that you are more interested in eating what I'm about to make not kneading dough" Bany said to April as they were preparing snacks in the kitchen.
"The work is tedious but the food is rewarding, so I like the reward " April said with a bright smile , which made Bany laugh.
As they continued kneading over small conversations, the door bell rang.
"Are we expecting anyone? " April asked .
"Oh yes, Lucan said a doctor was coming to see Brie,and I totally forgot about it. How about you go bring Brie to the study and I'll take the doctor there" Bany said and immediately April cleaned her hands and went to call Brie ,while Bany headed to the door .
As Bany opened the door, she saw a tall man backing the door. "Excuse me, are the doctor Mr McCain sent" She asked
"Bany,your Pie sure smells great " Adam said as he faced her.
Bany smiled brightly at the surprise Lucan sent to her,no wonder he said he'd give her a big surprise when they spoke on the phone. Unable to contain herself she wrapped him in a warm embrace.
"You are such a horrible person, how could you not even come to visit me even once for the past three years " Bany said and slapped his back.
"I'm sorry " Adam said with a smile. Truly hugging Bany like this made him regret why he didn't come all these years. His guilt had taken a lot of things from him,including Bany whom he considered a second Mother.
"Never mind,its fine you're here now. Come in,Brie will be down soon " Bany said as she led him into the living room all the while holding his hand. This subconscious gesture made Adam smile.
"This place has changed so much" Adam observed as they walked into the house.
"Of course,Lucan had just bought the place when you last came.I hoped you three would buy houses on the island and live together,but it's okay that's no problem" Bany said and what followed next was an awkward silence.
"Wow! Mr Black, what a pleasant surprise " Abby said as she walked into the living room.
"Abby, you still have a habit of following Bany around don't you " Adam joked.
"I can't live without her food you see. I actually left with the others at first but after starving for a few days,I realized that Bany's food was my lifesaver so here I am." Abby played along with Adam's jokes.
"You both are at it again. Abby dear please tell Brie to come to the study. I'm guessing April forgot to tell her" Bany said to Abby who left immediately.
"I'll be in the study then" Adam said .
"okay I'll send the snack upstairs later " Bany said .
"That'll be perfect ".
