They followed her to the house, pestering her. Gaerr and the other guy were expecting some action with her but she paid no attention to them and came home. After having fought the entire night, they wanted to have her so badly that they both decided to come at once. They were no restrictions here to stop them from asking anyone, as long as they were willing.
She was in the front room, drinking. She seems to be waiting for Aragon. She saw Aragon and came out with a broad smile on her face.
"My boy, You came. What took you so long? I was waiting for you."
"These beggars wouldn't leave me alone even after some beatings."
"Let's go, they must be waiting." She was already out and put a hand over Aragon's shoulder and left the yard.
Gaerr clicked his tongue, frustrated.
"Aren't we getting action tonight?" the man who came with Gaerr asked. He was drunk.
"Shut up!" Gaerr yelled. He gulped down the bottle and smashed it. Then he left, staggering.
Katheryn with a bottle in her left hand and her right hand on Aragon's shoulder, both walked down the street.
"Where are we going?" Aragon asked. He was a little confused.
As he asked the question, they already reached the house. It was bigger than any other house in the village.
They walked straight into the house and went to the table where a few people sat.
Katheryn shouted, "Wow!, the whole family is here."
"Come, meet your family." Katheryn guided Aragon to the table and they sat side by side.
Rhaet his wife Ragna, Ivar, and Synnove were seated, waiting for Katheryn to come with Aragon.
Startled to see all of them and saying that they were his family, Aragon looked at his aunt. She smiled and patted him on his shoulder. "You already know your uncle Rhaet and cousin Synnove. And the one with the half-shaved head is your other cousin Ivar and she is Ragna, your uncle's wife." she introduced all of them.
Aragon feeling awkward, smiled faintly. With this sudden family, he didn't know what to say. All his life, he only knew his grandma. Now they were people coming into his life, with relation to him.
"Let's have dinner. We had a tough day. Thank the warrior men and my dear husband for protecting us." With that, they started eating.
Rhaet asked, "Where were you till now?"
Aragon looked at him, "I was in the mountains."
"And what were you doing there?"
Aragon looked at him in silence.
"Now, now, leave the boy alone," Ragna was the one who spoke. She looked at Aragon and smiled.
Ivar was glancing at him while eating. He didn't know that he had a cousin till now. He looked at Synnove, she didn't react much, as if she already knew about him. He humped and continued eating as if he would have cared about him, even if he knew.
Ragna said, "Aragon, why don't you come to visit us often? We can get to know and as you can also know your cousins." Rhaet already told her about him and his situation.
She suggested the idea would make Aragon more comfortable in the future with them. He was all quiet and not talking much.
"Aragon, see, they are all your family," Katheryn smiled at him, then chewed off the meat piece in her right hand while drinking from the jug in her left.
Rhaet and Katheryn talked about stuff related to the tribe, and Ragna joined the conversation a few times. Ivar and Synnove silently ate their meal. Later they finished the meal.
Rhaet said looking at Aragon, "Be careful around the mountains." Then he left the table.
Aragon nodded.
Then Synnove and Ivar left after him.
Then only three of them were at the table. Katheryn was all drunk and leaned back in her chair. Aragon was still eating sitting beside her. Ragna was looking at them with a short arch on her lips.
