"Valerie Kay, I must meet that kid who did not get my gift. He or she must get my gift! It is a must. Since we will going to town tomorrow, I promise myself that I will get that kid," Princess Cindy said and walked away. This was a very good decision that the Princess has made. It was such a tiring day, we came back in the late evening, we had breakfast and supper already so I knew that Princess Cindy would not eat again but I had a little space in my belly which I had to fill. We both had a long day so a warm bath will do. When I got into the room, Princess Cindy had already fallen asleep. I went into the bathroom to check if the Princess had taken her bath but I realized she did. She has started learning how to do her things quicker than I thought it would be. I went to take my clothes off so that I could take some bath, when I entered the room, the Princess was feeling so cold that she cuddled herself on the bed, I went to cover her with her blanket. After taking my bath, I dressed up in a blue Cinderella night gown. It was kinda transparent so I placed a cream morning coat on it. I went to the Royal Kitchen to make some tea for myself, I made a cup full cold tea and took some teacakes which were always around. I went to the garden, sat on a chair and placed my tea and teacake on the side table. I placed my legs on the big table in front of me and leaned against the chair. I began to reflect on the activities that took place during the day, it was really fun, especially seeing the way the Princess was relating so we'll with the kids. All along I thought she was an introvert but it turned out that I was all wrong, she is very loving, caring and an extraordinary teenage girl. I found myself very lucky to have met her and have a great and positive impact on her. My thoughts were interacted when Bryant walked in, gave me a kiss on my forehead and asked, "Missing someone? Well, I'm here if you don't mind Valerie, you know you can tell anything Valerie". I signed and he knew that I had a problem. "When will I get a boyfriend Bryant Lytton, when will someone tell me that.…that he loves me?" I asked and he giggled which eventually turned into laughter. My serious matter has now turned out to be funny Bryant, my eyes became teary and suddenly, tears began to fall from my eyes. He stopped laughing when he saw the tears on my face. He then asked me, "Are you really serious? No wait, are you really serious?" Bryant knew how dramatic I can get, so he wasn't so sure that I was actually crying because that could be a drama I put up and actually I was playing him. "You should know me by now Mr Bryant Lytton, I am just joking. Now I am feeling very lonely even with you Bryant, I don't know why but these days I feel lonely even among thousands of people Bryant,"I said in a baby voice. He smiled and said, "You the best remedy for your sickness Valerie. Don't be shy, just bring it in." I knew very well what Bryant was talking about. Whenever I'm feeling lonely or I'm sad, all I do is to lie down on his broad warm chest, so that was what I did. I laid down on Bryant's chest and fell asleep, how I'll get to my room, I have no idea but as long as I'm lying on his chest and I'm with him everything will be alright.
The next day, I woke up on my bed, I knew that I can always trust in Bryant Lytton. He is a good and loving guy, I am happy for the girl that will marry him one day, such a handsome and caring guy. "Ma'am, are you aware that we are already late for the visit to the guard's house?" Princess Cindy said. Oh my goodness, I slept too much, the Princess has already taken her bath and I'm still in bed with my stinky body. I dragged myself from the bed, got to the bathroom, took my bath and dressed up. I was not even hungry so I just packed the things that we will be taking to the guard's house. This time, we didn't take the Royal Carriage but we took a car which was driven by Bryant Lytton. Princess Cindy and Bryant sat in front of while a maid and I sat at the back of the car. Bryant and Cindy were chit chating as if they were lovers or something. It really got me more bored, I don't know why but anytime Bryant and Cindy are talking together, I feel this kind of fear in my heart, something is definitely fishy and I have to find out about it. I got my mind off that topic and I tried to figure out why only one child among two hundred kids did not come to any of the recreational facilities we went to. Could it be that that kid did not like going out or something. We got to the guard's house and his wife gave us a warm welcome, she gave seats on which we sat. Before we went there I educated the Princess about the life of a poor person, I told her to eat or drink anything that they would offer her because they feel honoured should their anything be appreciated by a higher person in the society. She did exactly as I said and even did more than I expected, the house was made of mainly wood but the foundation was cemented. While the Princess and the guard was talking, a young girl about ten came down from upstairs. She was wearing the Elamite hat which was like a birthday hat, seeing her the idea of asking her a question came into my mind, so I asked, "Hello there, what is your name?" "My name is Annabel Lee, yeah I am Annabel Lee,"she responded. I continued,"Who gave you that beautiful hat Annabel?" "Princess Cindy did, she gave this hat to my friend and since Mom didn't let me go out yesterday because dad was sick, my friend sacrificed his hat and we shared the cupcake too," she answered and I was really surprised. Ten year olds know the essence of friendship. They know how to sacrifice their joy for their friends but because of some stupid mood swing I'm angry with my friends for no reason. This two children have really thought me something today. "Can you call me your friend? Is his house far from here?" I asked her. She replied in her sweetness, "Yes it is very far from here." "Great! Bryant I need you to take me somewhere right now! It is very urgent. Princess Cindy, I found him," I ordered. "You found who?" she asked. I answered, "The boy that didn't get your gift and…" I didn't even complete the sentence before she asked for permission from Mr Lee who was sleeping on a thin hard bed, she dragged Bryant and I to the car. "Wait Cindy, the person taking us there is Annabel Lee, the guard's daughter. Wait for me to bring her," I said and went to reach out to the girl. I told the maid to also go and get the foodstuffs and other items we got for the Lee family and make sure she helps the woman to prepare their afternoon and evening meal right away while I went to ask for permission from Lee's parents for her to escort us to her friend's house. I took Anabel to the car and she exclaimed,"Will we use this car? This is the latest car in Elamite right." The Princess nodded and answered, "Yes it is Anabel, I guess you want to take a ride in this to your friend's house right?" She giggled and nodded her head. We got into the car and trust me when I say Bryant was on full speed. It was about twenty minutes and we got to Andy's house. Immediately we stood in front of the house, Anabel shouted out to a boy who was sitting on a bench in front of a house,"Andy, see I brought the Princess of Elamite, his handsome friend and the most prettiest girl I've ever seen in Elamite to your house," We chuckled when we heard what the girl said. We all got down, the boy ran and hugged Anabel. "I missed you so much Anabel. And you have even fulfilled my dream, remember, just a tea with the Princess,"he said with tears in his eyes. Anabel answered him,"You have earned it Andy, it was because of your unconditional love for me that brought this dream of yours to become a reality Andy." The reunion of the two friends was really touching, I could just remember how Bryant and I were saying goodbye to each other when they were leaving our neighbourhood. "Do you remember that time you were leaving our neighbourhood, I was crying that I wanted to follow you to your new house,"I giggled with tears. "It was really a painful moment for us though, I loved you too much to leave you. Silly!" he added and we all laughed. The little boy held Princess Cindy's hand and said, "Can I please have a cup of tea with you?"he asked in a soft voice. "Of course, only if your parents will not get angry with you,"Cindy answered.
So we all went to take a cup each of tea and a teacake as well. The boy and the whole family welcomed us warmly, about an hour later, I could feel my stomach rumbling, yeah actually because of my so called mood swings I couldn't eat. We had taken lunch along so I went to the car to silence my stomach. I ate a plate of Spanish rice (A SPICY RICE MIXED WITH TOMATOES, ONIONS AND GREEN PEPPERS), which is actually one of my favourites. After eating, I took some cranberry juice with some sweet cupcakes. It was actually no good thing to starve yourself or to get angry with food, food was really good. I then got out to join the rest in the house,"Where were you all along Valerie Kay?"the Princess asked and I answered,"I was trying to figure out my status in the car." It was only the Princess that understood what I said. The rest didn't and I was happy that I don't have to explain myself to anyone. "So tell me Andy, how much do you love Anabel?"I asked him and he answered,"I love her more than I can even explain. In sorrow, she is the source of my joy, in trouble she is my only solution, in darkness, she is the light, I can go on and on without getting tired because she is my strength." It was really wonderful, such an unconditional love at such a tender age. We all used the usual 'Awwwh' word. "So can I share my own," I asked,they nodded and I continued,"Though I went through a lot, by nature taking away my twin siblings and my loving dad, he is always the reason why I smile. In rain, he is my umbrella, during sickness he's my only cure and do you who that is, it is God. God helped me a lot, through sticks and stones, through pains and happiness." "Wow that's nice," the said and I smiled.
"Bryant wait up, wait up, please," I screamed while trying to stop him, finally he did." What do you want from me Valerie Kay, I guess I'm of no use to you anymore right?"
