Chapter 23 - 22. It's Gonna Be Alright

Why are these guys so cruel to me? They always want everything their way forgetting about how I feel about the whole thing. Oh gosh, why all these problems at once? I'm really getting tired.

Valerie's POV

Mom and Judy were sitting beside me but as far as I can remember, we were all in Bryant's room because he had disappeared. But I don't think I understand how I was now on the bed. "Why am I here now? Have you found him, have you found Bryant?" I asked while trying to pull myself up on the bed. My mom drew closer to me and said,"Dear, you need to calm down. You ought to get the truth into your head, you have to accept the truth. Bryant has left to look for his parents, just like how anybody else will do. He deserves the love of his parents, maybe his parents have also been looking for him." "But mom, you never told me that he was an orphan, you told us that he wasn't our real brother but you never told us about him being an orphan. Please mom, tell us about the whole story." I demanded and Judy agreed,"Yes mom, we demand to hear the true story from you. You can't just keep us in the dark forever?" Mom looked at us and replied,"I will my dear girls, I will. The story goes like this, your dad was still alive when it all began, then I was a babysitter in a mansion. The two parents were very much rich, they worked really hard just to keep up their status in the society forgetting all about their own son. So you, Valerie and I went to stay in the mansion together with One day, Bryant's parents went to work but never came back. When I got to their room, I saw that their things were all gone. Later the next morning, after I sent Bryant and Valerie to school, I cleaned the whole house which made me look very tired, I sat on the couch in the living room which gradually turned into a sleep. Suddenly, the doorbell rang and when I went to check, some men came in to tell me that, the owner of the house had sold out the house except one of the cars under the name of Bryant Lytton. Take this, Mrs Lytton wants to talk to you, when I took the phone, Bryant's mom told me that, I should send Bryant to the orphanage and also the Because they've already deposited an amount of money into his account. I should give him the car when he gets to high school. I was so disturbed but fortunately, she did paid me a nice amount of money. She also told me that I could keep him if I want to, I then decided to keep him since he didn't even know that I was not his real mother, he will be just fine with me. So that was how Bryant became my son and your brother." The whole thing mom said was like a fictional story for me but unfortunately, it was a true and real life story. I could not stop crying, how could a mother be such a wicked witch? Why would you just leave your only son?
