Chapter 7 - 07. Total Drama

This King must be joking. How can he possibly say such thing? Everyone loved what I did but why not the Royal Family. Bryant was pissed off so he said,"With all due respect My King, I think you've mistaken the whole situation. You are talking to someone who…" "I do not care whatever she did or did not do, Mr Bryant Lytton. Stay away from this,"the King cut in and he continued,"Now to you Miss Valerie Kay, why did you turn my palace upsidedown, does this palace look like some kind of exhibition center to you?" The King's voice could have killed my eardrum because it was really loud. I couldn't even talk because the shock got into my spine. "Get out of here, right now!!" he said and without much thought, I walked away, but before I could exit the gate, I felt a touch on my upper shoulder and when I turned, I saw the Bryant. With a shivering voice, I asked, "Have I done something wrong this time? Did he ask you to bring me to him?" Suddenly I heard the King's voice behind me saying,"So do you think I'll ever reject your plan? Miss Valerie Kay." When I turned, I saw the King who opened his arms very wide, it tempted me so much to ran into it but it might be a trap, but he said,"I know you want to do it. Bring it in." I raced to the King and hugged him as if my life depended on it. It felt so good, hugging the King especially now that he was in his soft coat. In Elamite, it was great honour for even a teenager like me to shake hands with the King and here lies the case I was hugging the King. With joy in my heart I said,"Thank you so much for this gift my King."

The reconciliation moment got over and we escorted the King and his family into the Royal Hall. I just did not know why I had to address the halls in which the Royal Family dine by adding Royal to address each and everything or everybody that attends to them. Anyway, we got there, but before then, I narrated the whole issue to the King, Queen and the Princess. I was very surprised at how they were not surprised. "This is a real event I am talking about. It is not like a blockbuster movie I'm narrating to you, it's a real story. Well that was what I thought, I thought if I tell them, they will not be surprised because it is like something that happens often when their jealous enemies want to destroy their hard works. "So you mean you are surprised of what I told you? I asked in disbelief. "Actually, we knew that our enemies will always try to attack us but not Prince George of Mandeville,"Princess Cindy said in shock. After the discussion, the commander was asked to bring Prince George into the Royal Court Room for his final judgement. So the King sat on his magnificent golden and diamond throne to pass judgement. Some wired beats were playing as they brought in Prince George, they talked in their local dilates so I couldn't make out what they they were talking about but I heard my name several times and I guess they were talking about the mischief he planned. Finally, some of the soldiers took him away, to where; I do not know. The Princess, Princess Cindy took me to the Royal Dinning Hall, where they served the food I asked them to prepare. Surprisingly, on the dinning table was a kind of food I've been seeing in our school's restaurant but I never tasted it because Bryant spoke ill about it. The Princess and I sat down on the chair. It was a golden chair but had a diamond shaped item on it which made it look really beautiful. The King and the Queen walked in, as the guard at the entrance announced that they're entering. They walked elegantly into the Hall and I really admired them. We both stood up when they walked in to take their seats, we also followed up and took ours too. We were about to eat when Bryant walked in and sat beside me. The King smiled at him and said,"Mr Bryant Lytton, why are you now coming for lunch? This is not the time we have lunch, and the both of us know very well that you are not a guest in this palace." "Sorry my King I went to visit the washroom and it was really bad so I went to the Royal Nurse to give me some medicines,"he replied. I don't know if it's only me because if Bryant lies, there is always a kind of breakages in his voice when he speaks but I think I am the only person that realized that about him. There the father and daughter chitchat between the King and the Princess as we were eating. It was really nice to hear the King and the Princess talking in such a lovely manner. Some other kids whose fathers are Kings and mothers are Queens, find it very difficult to express themselves to their parents but I'm happy this one is totally different. What a perfect parents the King and Queen are, I wonder…before I continue

thinking, the Princess stood up, hit her hands on the table and said,"Dad!! Why do you always want me to be sad? I think you enjoy it when I get sick of a problem that is easy to solve. It is solvable when you don't talk about it. Just keep your mouth shut! I want to be left alone." She then raced out of the hall. The food I was eating no longer looked appetizing, I just lost my appetite. What could it be that, the Princess and the King who were happy a few minutes ago are now worst of enemies? Is it because of her brother? Of course she doesn't like it when they talk about his brother or maybe her father wants her to go for a trip which she is afraid of.

"Miss Valerie Kay, can you please convince the Princess to agree to the offer of going to a trip? A fun trip for that matter. Since that day that you stepped into this palace, we got our old Princess back, the loving, caring and one who loves laughing at all times. Please Valerie Kay, if you want me to knell down, I will do it, just convince her,"the Queen said sorrowfully. I replied in the same sorrowful tone,"Do not worry my Queen, I will definitely do my best to put the Princess into a good shape. You want the old Princess, that is exactly what I will give you." I asked for permission and I left the hall. Now what am I going to tell her? Or God, please help me do this, at least making a sad person happy and giving the person hope for the future is what God wants us to do. Now, he has to help me by all means. "Miss Valerie Kay, did you not hear me when I said I wanted to be left alone? Then why are you here? There is no need for you to come over here or even question my decisions so please, get the hell out of here!!" Princess Cindy scolded with anger in her voice. "Okay, you want to shut the world up right?! Okay, then do just that. Oh I totally forgot the key is with someone else," I scolded her and continued," Do you think you are the only human being on earth that is having problems? Do you just think that I do not have any problem at all? I am a high school student who is supposed to be in the house enjoying my summer holidays or maybe tempering with some sort of problem in the house. Cindy, my dad died when I was four so my uncle took over my dad's house, all our properties and gave us a three bedroom house to stay in, no food, no money to even care of my twin baby brother who was very sick, by then my mom had my twin siblings, Clara and Clark, Judy, and I as the first born. My mom suffered for twelve years to take care of us, she wanted to give us the best in life. I merely lack anything because my mom was always on the go. But Sometimes I had to ran off from school and work because my mom could not afford my tuition fee. As young as I was, I had to go and beg for money at the roadside because my brother was very sick and his condition was getting worse by the day. One faithful day, I woke up, brushed my teeth, took my bath and dressed up to go and see who and who will give me the money to pay for my brother's hospital bill. I stood there for about two hours, just to beg for money, some gave me food and water which I ate some and left the rest for the family. That day, luckily, a woman dashed me a big brown envelope and when I opened it, it was money that was inside it. I was so happy that I knelt down to thank her. She smiled and left without saying anything. With the money, I was sure that my brother will be fine and at least we will get to eat, if not for the whole week then maybe for a day or two. I got to the hospital, then to my brother's room. I could not understand anything, I just saw that my mom was crying while carring baby Clara, Judy was standing near Clark and was also crying. Though I didn't know why they were crying, I started crying too. They used a white cloth to cover his body and I knew that my brother was gone forever. It was really awful, just like you loved your brother I loved mine too but that was not all. A month after the death of Clark, Clara also fell really ill, but this time, the doctor said there was nothing they could do about it so it was definite that my sister was also going to die.(CRYING AND SOBBING AT THE SAME TIME) Cindy, I was so helpless, how could I watch my baby sister die just like my baby brother. Not long after, she also passed away, it was really painful. To loose your brother and sister is not easy, so now Judy and I are the only daughters of my mom. My pain as you can imagine should be more than your own because I lost three important people in my life. My dad, my baby brother and my baby sister. The emptiness and the gab is still in me. I still miss them Cindy, the way we tease people together, laugh, eat and do everything together, I still miss all those things Cindy. So yeah, this my real life story Cindy. Some people think that I am some kind of happy girl who has nothing to worry about. I have a lot of problems, sometimes I have to work here and send some money to my mom and Judy back home because they need it. I smile everyday because I don't want to explain the reason why I am sad to anybody cause I know I wouldn't do that without any tear visiting my eyes. So Princess Cindy, after all these I still smile everyday, I pretend to be the most happiest person ever. That is who I want you to be Cindy, I know it is not easy to forget about your loved ones but it is easier when you hold on to their good old memories, the happy moments you spent together, think about those things only. So now Cindy, I want you to go out there and take that ticket cause we are going to summer vacation. It would really unfair if you refuse, please?!"
