Chapter 14 - Progressive brains

Next morning, John Dalton was getting ready for the office. He was knotting his tie when he saw his wife coming through the road. Window appeared blur to him but he identified the woman his wife. She wasn't out for a morning walk, rather she was returning from some party. It was 6 in the morning and she had been out all night. If John was the man he was few years ago, he would have stormed out to confront this woman for her boldness but now he won't. Not because she was owning a protection company but there was some other reason for not giving a shit about what she'd be doing with her life.

They had been close once. They shared their love. They had two love products but time weathered their love. Now they were stranger living in a house.

His son and daughter appeared to be ready for the school. Both of them were silent as their mother was behaving oddly. They walked towards dining table, sat their. Silence prevailed. John got into his chair. He wanted to start eating his breakfast but he saw the faces of his children. Every accomplished , successful father would not let his kids wither away like his kids. These kids suffered from the conflict of their parents. Parents who were involved into some deep kind of troubles. But they were adamant to step out of this filthy world. They forgot the children right after they gave them birth. Now children were on their own. They felt orphans. Ellen appeared to be coming towards the table. She had not even changed. Her ruined dress was telling a story of it's past glory. Now this gown appeared to be torn from places. Children kept on staring at her. They were sensing a storm coming their way. Where parents would fight like street dogs. Where John would assault his wife and his wife would defend herself with some stringent spray as if John were a rapist wanted to attack her.

John's son, appeared ill. He wanted to vomit but his parents were staring at him. It would have worsen the situation. His sister appeared to start crying any moment from now. Weeping was his tool. Tears stroll on her eyes as she carried his brother away from the chair to the bathroom. He was ruining the polished ,shiny floor but he didn't stop walking towards bathroom. Her sister went along. She asked her maid to bring water. Maid who appeared from the kitchen brought glass of water to the bathroom. Where Lisa was sitting along her brother close to the flush toilet. Her eyes were still raining down nobody from her parents appeared into the bathroom or made any kind of compensations for the situation of their son they didn't even call the doctor and Lisa was so sure that they would be heading towards their offices why it was like that parents didn't even care about their children they for their children they had to be the responsibility for these kids since their birth but on their own they were managing their life on their own and who must have felt the loneliness a boy a girl must have felt at 13 age this loneliness this silence follow these children all along their life and they can never escape this great void created by the forgetfulness of the parents, parents never having time never having time for them. She put his brother on sofa and went into kitchen asking her maid to making something soothing for her .her brother was James. The fragile and ill boy whose parents never owned him because they didn't see their image in them. And how it was even possible for them to see the reflection in their boy as he wasn't this less-empathetic, this insensitive. Boy didn't even have a friend with whom he can spend his time. He didn't even felt interested in studies. He just caps on sitting on a sofa watching video games playing them and trying to carve new one. He was into computer. He spent all his time on it. Computer seemed to be sharing his loneliness with him. He feared that his parents would fight. He mad himself vomit to divert their intention of ruining the atmosphere, ignoring the fact that his deteriorating health would perplex them but he knew they won't be worried for him.

Now there was silence in the house again. Lisa was gone to the school and nobody was home

His mother must have headed back to her office where secret house could have arranged for her, a solace to get some rest. An escape from reality. An escape from people of low IQ, non- progressive minds, underveloped brain. She wanted an escape and now she was sleeping in a highly secured room, with no sign of worries and perils of present. Just her and her progressive brain was there.
