Ellen was walking towards a black Mustang. her high heels were ticking loudly and her bumps were undulating, making her look inviting. Previous night, she did not meet anybody at home; neither hugged her husband nor patted her two bedeviled children. She just went in to the room she had been sharing with her husband, collected a few things, waited to be the morning there in the balcony outside the room and now she was ready to elope in a fancy car. Only she knew where she was going to spend the night, whether it would be her covet apartment at the outskirt of the town or whether she was going to another state. She put her husky shades on when car started moving. Her eyes started getting wet but she did not realize why? She was sure, it was not heartache, neither was it the remembrance of her children, her biological children.
Person driving the car had a blank face. She was clicking on her phone, when he asked
" You know, this is the most important task of your life and by accomplishing it you are going to get special attention of the secret society, right?"
She got out of her thoughts , put on a wide smile and said "yeah, that's the plan. Mayor's consent is what I m looking forward"
"but you must know that buying mayor is not an easy task, no threat, no greed, no rapacity has ever shook his determination of performing his duties honestly."
That car driver looked very carefully in her but she said" honesty is for backward . I am the progressive one and I know how to handle such cases".
Indeed she was the most capable mind in the secret society. she had her own style ,her own ways out. She she knew how to scratch someone grievances, knew how to handle men, except one in the world.
Car dropped her at the mayor's office. Ellen was a living danger to the political entities۔ It was impossible to cause any harm to the security of the mayor's office but this was Ellen who knew how to breakthrough.
Security guard at the doorstep of the office stopped her. He told her that he was asked to not allow her in the premises of the office. She was introduced into the political world as the law firm owner and wherever she'd gone the troubled followed.
"Ask your mayor to let me in if he wants to avoid legal trouble" she said to the security guard with cold eyes. Car driver was standing beside Ellen.
Guard put on telecom on his ears and after briefly talking on phone, he let Ellen into the office.
