Cedric' hold did wonders to me, it made my heart beat faster, my blood ran faster and my breath hitched "I can't breathe", I said it out loud and Cedric released me, only to look me in the eyes "you're so fucking beautiful" he whispered I stared at those yellow eyes that shone in the dark "and you are so handsome, the beauty and power that your wolf radiates, the fact that all this beauty and power are combined in one… you are amazing Cedric" he smiles at me warmly, and leans in to kiss me gently then touches his forehead to mine "I don't know what I did to deserve you- but I thank the moon goddess for sending you".
At this point I'm melting, but then a question pops in my head, I hesitate for a second "what?" Cedric asks me as he leans sideways on his elbow "I can see the question in your eyes" I close my eyes and shake my head "I just, don't wanna ruin the moment, I mean this is perfect" I gesture at the moon and us sitting and talking, he smirks "it's ok, I'll take it" I bite my lip and look at him "um, what… What was your mate like ?" his smirk fades and he looks up to the moon, with a heavy sigh he closes his eyes "Tyla was like the red flames of a fire, always alarmed, always energetic, always ready- and very vicious", I nodded and he shook his head "I warned here a thousand times to not breach the human border, she never listened to me, a girl like her feared nothing, you know what they say- curiosity killed the cat?" I nod again "in this case, curiosity killed the werewolf" he sighs and shakes his head again "she was captured by the R.A.Ws and killed later after they were done with her at the labs".
When I notice how Cedric's face darkened, I slap myself inwardly, of course I had to ruin the goddamn moment with my stupid question- I face palm my self, then I touch Cedric's face, he leans in and closes his eye, when I pull my hand back he grabs it and tugs me to lay down next to him- I put my head on his shoulder and and he runs his hand through my hair. With the silence of the woods, the shining moon and the warmth from the sweatshirt and the heat radiating from Cedric's body- I feel my eyes grow heavy and slowly I fall asleep.
Cedric
"Rain?" I moved a little and noticed that she'd fallen asleep, she looked so peaceful- and I love the way she's positioned right now, under my arm and flush to my body, just like that.
A twig snaps and I snap into attention, I slowly pull my shoulder from underneath Rain's head, she groans and mumbles something- if it wasn't for the current situation, I would've thought it's funny, but right now I'm worried- I try to communicate with Cyprus, but I'm far too focused on the area around me than to focus on my own thoughts. another twig snaps in a different direction, I raise my head up and sniff the air, immediately I could smell another werewolf.
usually I wouldn't be irritated with another werewolf being around, but now that Rain is lying right next my feet on the ground, so many questions roam my mind, what if there are two or three werewolves?- it's slightly windy and if Rain managed to sneak up on me before, then nothing would stop a werewolf from doing so. I shift into my wolf form to have a better vision and hearing of my surroundings, once I'm a werewolf I sense five different wolves around me- I growl to let them know that I sense them.
growling was the wrong idea, right then all five of them stepped out from behind the bushes and the trees coming straight ny way.
Rain
I was jolted awake by the sounds of snarls, growls and barks. I looked around and realized that I'm still in the woods and Cedric isn't beside me- this whole realization situation took only seconds, so I twisted on my tummy and slowly raised my head to watch in horror as Cedric's werewolf fought with another four wolves, he seemed to be fighting them and dodging well, slashing and biting, he looked confident and strong until he turned to look at me.
I was confused with his look, why did he look so- surprised and… scared? The answer came right up when I heard a growl and looked back to see a fifth werewolf standing right behind me, I gasped and started to move to stand up quickly but the wolf reached his hand up and grabbed the hood of my sweatshirt,I kicked it as hard as I could on the knee and it grunted and then snarled and slashed the whole length of my back with it's claws. The hot white pain that I felt is indescribable- it felt like someone poured boiling water down my back and then whip it with a leather belt, the pain affected my body so badly that I lost control over it and I let out the loudest scream I ever screamed, it felt like my eyes were going to bulge out and my heart is going to beat out of my chest.
In an instant I heard a loud howl, then another one accompanied it, the werewolf who slashed me stood there looking dumbfounded, the next second he was gone, flying across the clearing, I shiver as I feel a new wave of pain come over me when I adjust myself to lay on my back so I could look at my defender. I could not believe what I was seeing.
At first I thought it was Darious, but then I noticed the fur was mostly grey, then I noticed the size of the werewolf,he was facing the direction of the woods and his chest was heaving as he panted, his profile was familiar-people may think that wolves or werewolves all look the same, but no, werewolves tend to have differences in profiles, they are slight,but they are there.
Another wave of pain made my vision blur, I groaned and bit my lip as I tried to lean more on my side, and that's when he turned his head to face me, Those eyes were no mistake of someone who I'd recognise anywhere, the bright yellow with dark green on the edges- I raised my hand to touch him, thinking that I might be hallucinating, but he bent down and touched his muzzle to my palm. I was overwhelmed and the last wave of pain hit me causing me to pass out.
Cyprus
I ran across the woods, following the scream that I heard, the only possibility that came over my mind was Rain. When I started to get closer I started to hear werewolves fight, then I broke out of the tree line and saw Cedric fighting four wolves , I immediately jumped into the fight and killed two of them while Cedric finished the other two, fuckers had all gathered on him alone- wait, where is Rain?! My eyes darted around and surveyed the area, I could smell her blood and feared the worst, but then I found her, she was lying unconscious on the ground and I could see a puddle of blood beside her, I moved to get closer to her but then I stopped when I heard a warning growl, looking back I thought it was Cedric, but he was staring up ahead, eyes wide and mouth agape, I cocked my head to the side in confusion then looked back at Rain's direction- and there , stepping out of the trees, looking furious and snarling- was Zevrus.
We stared at each other in silence for a few seconds, "Zevrus?" I tried to telepate with him but he blocked me, he just bend down and scooped up Rain in his arms, then he bolted into the woods.
