The growls coming from the bushes suddenly stopped, silence spread in the forest, and the only thing Alex could hear at the moment is his heart, the sound produced by it is similar to a hammer going against an anvil, the sound continued, one time, two times, three times.
At the third time, 6 wolves came out of the bushes, 5 of them were going against the party, and only one is walking towards Alex.
Alex's hands are almost bleeding because of how hard he is holding his "weapons".
The wolf recognizes the smell from my clothes, even though it is hidden by several others smells he still recognizes the smell of wolf blood.
If before it was looking at Alex as prey, now in the wolf eyes Alex is an enemy that killed one of them.
The wolf lunges towards Alex, the speed of the wolf is even higher than the one of the rabbit, and Alex barely evades the attack, but the wolf with his claws causes a deep cut on Alex's shoulder.
A low grunt comes out of Alex's mouth, he bites his lips to not lose focus, not wanting to give the wolf another chance to lunge Alex dashes towards the wolf.
He swings his sword towards the head of the wolf, Alex isn't a swordman so the swing was predictable and the wolf easily evaded it, what the wolf didn't expect was for a horn to stab its eye.
Alex:'YES.' He thought while trying to get the horn, but it got stuck.
The horn didn't go deep enough, so the wolf is still alive, and seeing that Alex is near enough it uses one of his claws, trying to open the stomach of Alex.
Seeing the incoming claw, Alex leaves the horn and jumps backward, the claws only cut his clothes.
Now that the wolf is blind by one side Alex uses this opportunity to surprise the wolf.
Alex dashes to the blind spot of the wolf, and when it tries to follow Alex with its good eye, the only thing it sees before dying is a rusty sword coming for its other eye.
To be sure that the hit goes deep enough, Alex uses his whole body weight and the speed from his dash to pierce the wolf's eyes, skull, and brain, killing it on the spot.
Alex:'One down, the other five-' He turns towards the others, thinking that he might help, but there is no need.
The 6 of them are looking at Alex.
Lin:''There too many wasted movements, but using the horn and the blind spot were good ideas.'' He says while raising his thumb.
Sara:'' I had just healed him, well this might be a good chance for him to level up the natural regen skill I don't have much mana remaining.''
Jack:'' Captian he might become a good adventurer.''
Captain:''... Let's go.''
Alex finally begins to breathe again, the whole fight he had never breath due to anxiety.
He follows the party while checking his status, some skill leveled upped and he also unlocked 2 new skills and one of them is the skill that Sara mentioned.
The skills that leveled upped were Basic Unarmed Combat that reached level 3, Common language that reached level 2, Basic fear Resistance reached level 5, and Basic Pain Resistance reached level 2 the 2 skills that he unlocked are: Basic Lying and Basic Natural regeneration.

While walking Alex stays a bit behind not wanting to interrupt or hear a discussion he shouldn't hear, but then Sara turns around and begins to speak with Alex.
Sara:''Hey Alex, on your status on the Affiliation part, is there anything? You might discover where you are from based on it.''
Alex:'' I already checked, it says that I have no affiliations.''
Sara:''This is strange usually when someone is born the baby will be affiliated with the family unless you were an orphan, but this doesn't explain the surname, so maybe you might be a fallen noble which parent s died before they could become affiliated with you, so you might b-'' Before she could continue her won story Lin punches her in the head, causing her to bit her own tongue.
Lin:'' Next time why don't write a book?''
Sara began to swear at and trying to hit him, and the only thing he could to was run away.
Everyone laughed at their antics, but Alex became even more worried.
Alex:'The surname will become a problem in the future, if someone were to discover that I am not affiliated to anything they will suspect of me.'
After a while, Sara stopped following Lin, and he stayed ahead of us, in case of danger.
Alex:'' So are you guys adventurer? I heard you say the mission was complete.''
The Captain of the party takes out a piece of wood by one of his pockets, on it, there is what looks like a shield with a sword and a catalyze crossed together.
Captain:'' I have been an adventurer for 12 years, while the other just for few years, if you aren't good in any secondary profession being an adventurer is your only option.''
Alex:'' If I wanted to be an adventurer do I have to pass an exam?''
The Captain looks at from toe to hairs.
Captain:'' Unless you are Luck's son you won't pass the exam, and you should also decide yo profession based on your class.''
Alex:'' But I don't have one.''
When they heard my words they froze on the spot.
Alex:'I fucked up.'
Sara:''Oh my god, could he be one of the Travelers?''
Captain:'' It is the only possibility.'' He then looks back at me.

For the rest of the travel, Sara continues to look at Alex, while the others simply stay on edge in case of an attack.

In front of them, an enormous wall, made of grey stones, appears, it is at least 20 meters high, and 100 meters long at least, and this is only from one side., they are large enough for 4 humans to walk at the same time, at the end of the wall there are 2 watchtowers, and the center of the wall there is a metal gate, with 2 guards waiting for the arrival of people.

They then let them pass, while saying to Alex that he should go to the guild and then to the church.
Alex:'' Why do I have to go to the church?''
Sara:'' First, to see if any gods love you or hate you, and second to see if you can use magic.''
Alex:'' Lin can use magic? I saw him cast a magic circle in the air.''
Sara:'' Lin, magic? Please, the only thing he can cast is the most basic communication magic to send a message.''

Alex then begins to look at the city.

Usually, in a medical city, people expect darkness, low hygiene, and a lot of bad people, but this place is very clean, there are no dark places thanks to what looks like lanterns in every corner of the main road, and everyone smiling and minding their own business.

All the people that had a shop were shouting, trying to convince people to go to them, the smell of cooked meat and of grilled vegetables filled the streets, Alex's mouth began to salivate, and his stomach to rumble.
Sara heard Alex's stomach and seeing his face she understood what he was thinking.
Sara:'' Captain wait here.'' She says while nearing one of the food sellers.
When she comes back she has 7 meat skewers, apart from meat there also are vegetables pierce by the skewer.
She gives every one of them, and the last one is for her.
When everyone begins, Alex also eats the skewer, at the first bite he freezes, the juice of the meat, the taste and consistency of the vegetables, everything was perfect.
He wolfs down the whole skewer in less than 5 seconds.
Sara:'' Wow, someone was hungry.''
Alex became red realizing how he ate the food.
Alex:'' Yeah, let's say that one whole day only with barriers doesn't help.''
The group then finally arrived at the guild, Alex recognized it due to the symbol in the front being the same as the insigna of the group.
The whole building looks like a mansion, at that is only the front, the back of the guild is even bigger.
The inside of the place is identical to what there is in the manga, a table where people can talk, a board where people can get their quest, and a counter where there are people that receive the complete quest and gives the reward.
The group goes towards the counter and hands them a pouch with something inside.
The girl on the other side of the counter opens the pouch and inside it, there are what looks like goblin ears.
Girl:'' Good job, the reward is 3 silver and 5 points on your rank.''
She then notices my presence and indicates me.
Girl:'' Who is the kid?''
Sara:'' A traveler, we found him in the forest.'' She says with an excited voice.
The girl looks at me.
Girl:'' Well this surely is the first time, welcome you the guild, my name is Lisa, do you remember anything?''
Alex:'' No, I just woke in the forest, I don't know I got there.''
Lisa:'' You guys can go, I will take care of him.''
Everyone then says goodbye to me.
Sara:'' Don't worry, we will meet when they will let you go to the church.''
Lin:'' Same goes for me, I am the survival instructor.''
Everyone else then goes away together and leaves Alex with Lisa.
Lisa:'' So? Are you ready to go to school?''
